You don't want him to go Bayern presumably because he'll be a success, but he's overrated anyway and you want that to be exposed at United, where he's factually failed even though it's not happened yet?

Your other rationale about Aletico being a well run machine is another cryptic message. How a team performs in a season is unpredictable and you can't say with a certainty that United will not be a "well runned machine," next season. The foundation is there and with a few quality addition, there will be progress. The last reason that money's should be spent somewhere else has nothing to do with Greizman potential failure at United.

Pogba-Fabinho-Herrera looks tough and skilled and if one was out, we could just play with Mata or Griezmann as a 10 or even a 4-4-2 and still have quality players everywhere as long as 1 of Martial or Rashford makes a leap and becomes a consistent threat, which seems likely enough with their skill and ages. And Griezmann can play as a 10, a 9 or as a RW. Might not be perfect at all 3 spots, but should be pretty good at any of them.

Greizmann is one of the most hardworking forwards out there. If you didn't know they already play together for France and greizmann has been very good for france. Actually, Pogba and griezmann didnt match up well at all. I dont know what euros people were watching, but Pogba was another but good last summer. Both sissoko and matuidi did better than pogba did.

Pogba was playing dlp role for france in euros other than geniuses like you no one expected him to be unbelievably brilliant, he performed ok enough.
Juan mata got those POTY awards in a very attacking chelsea team again very difficult to emulate in teams managed by lvg or mourinho. Griezmann plays in a team lot more defensive than utd and without being free of defensive responsibility like a ibra or a ronaldo or a messi.

Yup this is how it always works. A player goes to another club and they're a brilliant signing, if they come to united then they're overrated and a waste of money. We see it all the time with Pogba. When he was at Juventus fans of every other club were salivating over him all the time, but at United he isn't that good

I'll claim ignorance, I don't watch a lot of football anymore. Looking at griezmanns highlights on youtube I don't see an 80m player; what does he offer?

His highlights show him to be a decent header of the ball, convert from inside the box and score a couple of goals of the cross bar / freekicks. He also gets involved in combination s around the box, but doesn't look an instigator.
He will become instantly our best finisher. Lot of movement up front as well. Basically everything we're lacking in attack at the moment.
