I feel I've got one more transfer saga left in me this summer, I'm just not sure this is the one to emotionally invest in.
Let me welcome you to the Mané thread.

This thread has made up four mages soley from the muppet wank bank and nothing else

Absolute not a goer this one.

Net spend or "dippernomics" is purely the domain of Liverpool FC and its loyal but calculator-less followers. Lets keep it that way sport
I agree that we shouldn't point to it as an achievement like they do: "well comparing league position to net spend we're blah blah". But spending £8m net is a signal that we have a lot of money left this window. That's all I meant chip.

I didn't use a calculator for this its been mentioned many times by Journos, just merely bringing up the fact we could easily go out and spunk a load of cash on perhaps 2 major signings, Muller and Greizmann.

I agree, though it won't stop me from using it against rival fans. Purely because they've done the same (Arsenal/Liverpool fans).

It's ok, a guy who give a list with transfer targets to LVG didn't forget on Griezmann, LVG will probably go after him now and Ed is just writting a blank check.

With the formation and the setup we're using this season, Griezmann actually makes a lot of sense. He can play centrally along with Rooney, and can also shift out to the wing if need be. His release clause isn't cheap but it could have been a lot higher too. 56 million pounds is actually very doable for us.

Even though hes £56m I say go for him, our net spend is £8m so plenty of money left.
Yep. Overpriced obviously, but who gives a feck at this point. He's only just turned 24, is a United supporter, and is a top class player. To take anyone from Atletico you would need to pay way over the odds, or pay the release clause (like in his case). We all know we have the money to comfortably do it, and he would be perfect to add the pace and goals in our attack, and can play in the hole or on either flank or up top... Just makes sense to bring him in. Yet there is virtually nothing linking us to him strangely.

£56m is pretty mental for Griezmann, for that price you should be expecting a definite world class player. Still though, I'd love to see him here, a top class player who would easily get into our first team

I know, I think it was next logical step after not getting Pedro and then Greizmann tweeting about Rooneys pass, it seemed that 2+2= We are getting Greizmann. Also we need someone to be muppets about on here until the window shuts and hopefully tomorrow in LVG presser he gives us something to cling onto.

This thread is still going? That's impressive given this was the desperation thread after we learnt Pedro was going to Chelsea.

This deal is never going to happen and has absolutely no traction. As nice as it would be because he's a top quality player.

SSN are reporting on this now too. I reckon there's movement from United officials in Spain.

What? Are there actual whispers about this lad? I thought it was just wishful thinking from the muppets.

That's what was reported earlier too, that Woodward still being in Spain could be an indicator of some business being done. Hopefully it's the signing of Messi, Ronaldo and Bale. But I'd take Griezmann in a heartbeat.

We're probably just finalising our official matador clothing partnership though.

I forgot Woody was still in Spain.

Surely he would have come home now, unless ....
