I'd like to see Ozil here but Griezmann is suddenly being a bit underrated. Only a month or two ago the shoe was on the other foot and many were against signing Ozil.
The way i see it is that we need to add goals into our attack. Ozil does all the other stuff well but Griezmann is a goalscorer. We should look at both.
Imagine having Martial, Ozil and Griezmann roaming around behind Lukaku, in a similar fashion that our attackers have been doing recently. That would be incredibly difficult to defend against.
Yes, it is always a good thing to add goals to ones attack but I think our single biggest need today is to build a midfield that can hold the ball well, control a game, add potency to our attack and be at par with the very best in the world. Jose also needs to focus on ball retention trainings and adopt it as a strategy. I don't mean ball possession in the same way as Barcelona or City but when we actually have the ball, especially in big games, we should retain it for a while and dictate tempo. We need the right types of players and the right coaching for this to happen.
