Only 3 players have moved for more than that, 4 if you count Pogba's 89m transfer. So it's definitely not peanuts.90m is peanuts.

My idea is to sign him on pre-contract agreement and move at the end of world cup. Make sense? That could be just 2 games...
Would anyone really pass up the opportunity of signing a World Class player because he will miss 2 games..?
The Griezman train passed when we signed Lukaku. We may have dodged a bullet, Griez has been quite underwhelming this season. Besides, he is very expensive and almost hitting 30 in age.
Makes a lot of sense for him to try and new league, get a big bump in his salary and play alongside Pogba and Martial.Barca might get rid of Suarez next summer and replace him with Griezmann. Makes a lot of sense for him to stay in La Liga, get a big bump in his salary, and play alongside Messi and Dembele.
I'd like to see Ozil here but Griezmann is suddenly being a bit underrated. Only a month or two ago the shoe was on the other foot and many were against signing Ozil.
The way i see it is that we need to add goals into our attack. Ozil does all the other stuff well but Griezmann is a goalscorer. We should look at both.
Imagine having Martial, Ozil and Griezmann roaming around behind Lukaku, in a similar fashion that our attackers have been doing recently. That would be incredibly difficult to defend against.
I think he would be an upgrade on Lingard in the 3412 if we keep the formation. He's got great movement just like Lingard, is better on the ball and can defend too.If we manage to get competent attacking full backs in the summer, then playing griezmann as the no. 10 behind martial and lukaku would be quite a delight to watch. Especially since griezmann tends to attack from the right and martial from the left side. This would allow pogba to push on further forward and the likes of lindeof to push forward from defense.
Just saying, could work like a charm.
I agree about the sudden underrating of Griezmann due to his recent form, but there have been some of us who have raised doubts about how he'd fit here since his best performances have come as a support striker in a 4-4-2. A system that we don't play here. Add to this the facts that we have many central options (Mkhi, Mata, Lingard) along with the possibility of playing 3 in the middle with Pogba in an advanced position and finally the potential availability of Ozil on a free in the summer. People are rightfully questioning whether we need to buy Grizzi at the €100m price point which, whatever some people say, would easily eat up 2/3 of our budget.
So regarding the bolded, that's an opinion and all and I'm not knocking it, but I'd rather we sort out fullbacks and hopefully RW before we look at adding another player that likes to play centrally. Basically, I don't really think our attack has been lacking goals this season. Only City have scored more and we've outperformed Spur's and even Liverpool's famously potent attacks. But a worry for me is that most of the goals, other than those coming form Lukaku (the central striker), seem to originate down the left flank from either Rashford or Martial. And more recently Young too. Which makes us a bit predictable.
Mata and Mkhis goal contribution has not been great so far this season as far as goals are concerned and Lingard only recently started popping up with some. There's not been enough threat down the right hand side. And also since we usally only play with one of Martial and Rashford, the opposition can negate a lot of our attacking potential by shutting down the dribbler that is cutting in from the left by double marking them. Which is why I believe that adding a threat from the right would probably augment our attack more than adding another central player.
I've been a fan of Mahrez for a while and the arrival of such a player would see us become more unpredictable in attack. We brought Mkhi in, who used to play as RW/RF for BVB, to fulfil that role but he failed to shine on the right and was shifted to the middle before his appearances declined further and he was dropped. Which has left the RW spot vacant again, in terms of having an actual goalscoring threat from that flank. So like I said, I'd sort that out and the fullbacks before looking for another CF/SS. After all Martial has been playing there lately and doing very well.
Suarez isn’t going anywhere for 50mil!Barca would be crazy to not at least wonder if Suarez is on his way over the hill given how poor he has looked this season and how difficult he’s found it to physically impose himself on games. They also need to address the age of their squad.
If, for example, they could get, say, £50m for Suarez and spend an extra £40m to bring in Griezmann who is for years younger then I could see a certain logic to doing that (all of that obviously assumes that Barca don’t have the money to carry Messi, Dembele, Suarez and Griezmann at the same time).
Plot Twist: What if Messi, who mysteriously hasn't signed the contract extension yet, has told the board that he wants to leave in the summer and Barcelona are planning to make Griezmann his replacement?
Pretty sure he has signed it?

EDIt: At least he hadn't last time I checked, and it was very recent.
