Yes they do. I didn't see this today but i can guarantee you I've never seen any subs do that before. He blatantly has an issue, whether those that blindly backed him want to accept it or not.
Subs warm up is minimal not like the first team, sometimes they do ''torello'' with slight dynamic stretching but they dont do much. Physical trainer is focused on the first team.

According to betfair ... most points won for their team..

Alexandre Lacazette - 28
Mohamed Salah - 27
Sergio Aguero - 24
Harry Kane - 19
Eden Hazard - 17
Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku - 12

His stats are amazing. He is rarely caught offside such is his skill at timing his runs. He has had more passes than Rashford with a far higher percentage of forward ones despite playing 1/3 less minutes this season.

Managers have to manage players and Ole's rhetoric after the Everton game is we are ALL to blame. Pundits thought they were all equally accountable. Neville, Ince and Carragher name checked him along with other players and Ole has backed all apart from Martial.

Ole has to show he can manage these types of players and also that he has the strength of character to make his own decisions rather than being led by the media. I am not sure at the moment that any young player will trust us with their career and development.

Not sure why anyone is worried that a player that's not starting isn't warming up, when Rashford was down with a knock in the first half Martial was sent to warm up in case he had to come on.

People need to calm down

Yes, but they don’t want always want to.

I’ll agree that it doesn’t bode too good for Tony at this point that when we dearly need a goal - and Rashford is stone cold and Lukaku is overcooked - he is sat at the bench while McTominay and Sanchez comes on.

They never, ever just stand there. Do you go to games? Tell me if you've ever seen that before because I haven't. You can see the subs warming up in a group like they usually do. They're doing shooting drills.

It's difficult to be caught offside when you're not even trying to make any off-ball runs behind the defence, which is Martial's 101.

And quite frankly no, this is something many people on this forum haven't grasped yet for some reason but it's the players who have to show that they are worthy of playing for this club. We've had it the other way around with previous managers, doing the same with Ole will bring no other result. If Martial cannot be bothered (and no, I'm not talking about this particular video of a warm up but it doesn't surprise me one bit) then he can feck off, nothing will be lost if we let him go.

I have seen him make plenty of runs behind defences .... but completely understand if you haven't.

I am not sure about the 'worthy' comment as who makes the decision on which player is or not? I have been a fan since the 70's and every player who has represented the club has had my full support and respect through the good and the bad times. I have personal experience of being an elite athlete and it is very hard mentally/physically. The conditioning work alone is intense enough to sort out the will make it / won't make it. So every player who plays in elite Football has my utmost respect.

As to Managers. Rashford and Martial are now on their 5th manager - including Giggs in his caretaker role. That is not stability. I am sure Martial is completely fed up. I would be. Thrived under Lois Van Gaal, fought back under Jose to win his trust and start crucial games and now having a completely different style from Ole to adapt to with this lets run everywhere mentality - disguised as intensity. Man City and Liverpool have plans to win the ball back that they work on whereas we just seem to chase the ball and lets see what happens.

Have we appointed him a player-coach or something? Putting his arms behind his back and observing players doing their paces. Little wonder Ole didn't sub him on when we badly needed a goal. The actual coaches must have told him what was happening in the warm ups

When Rashford was down with a knock, Martial was the one warming up, not sure why Sanchez was the one that came on in the second half, probably felt he suited the game more at that point.

In terms of sticking on McTominay, problem at that stage was getting the ball forward, no point in sticking on another attacking player when we were struggle to build any momentum, we were looking for McTominay to break up Chelsea's hold on the midfield and free Pogba in a more forward role.

Some, including you, have completely lost the plot regarding those videos. You'll see that the players that aren't in the starting lineup are walking around doing about feck all, Pereira was doing a few keepie ups and knocking the ball around. Bizarre to have a go at Martial for not warming up when he's on the bench

You’re not starting so you don’t have to move before the game?

Subs never just fecking stand there.

If people are still waiting for Martial to be this super player then I can only wish you the best of luck. Keep waiting.

Look at other forward players at other clubs and their attitude. Forget 'potential' (whatever that means..), just attitude.

Martial never went to the World Cup last summer... and has relatively few injuries. The guy thinks he is better than what he actually is. In my opinion, he has lowered the expectation of a man united player. Lazy, poor mental attitude, moody, and has no impact on the team or the players around him. AND.. he isn't even THAT good !!! Look at Son at Spurs, Mane etc... I would prefer Richarlison, A Troy Deeney... . Rondon at newcastle... Calvert-Lewin at Everton.. Barnes or Wood at Burnley and you know why? because they all have a better attitude than Anthony Martial. Week in, week out.. You will get more from them. I am not suggesting we buy these players, I am simply making comparisons in terms of other Premiership forwards.

Martial is a joke to me. Over-rated, massively.

I got into the ground early yesterday and saw the players warming up! My word... I swear I didn't see Martial move from the spot in 15 minutes! It is this lazy attitude that separates the elite players from the also rans

I m glad I didn’t look like an idiot in that would you swap martial for messi thread

Regardless, that shows how highly rated he was before. I believe he has time to improve and get much better. We just need the right philosophy and players around him. His laziness can be a concern, but as long as his end product and offensive side of the game is at an elite level, then it won’t be of any concern.

I rate him as a player but his attitude, consistenty and application are all shocking. Would happily take £50m.

Lately he’s been doing something similar when he plays. I’m wondering if Ole is losing patience with him.

According to Sky Sports he runs fewest out of all premier league forward players on average per game. Lukaku is 4th in that list as well. Truly pathetic.

Hes clearly just soaking up the Old Trafford atmosphere before a big game. Thinking about how lucky his is to be a premier league footballer.

Heartwarming really.

Another instance where Jose saw things the fans didn’t want to admit?

We were all against the sale of Martial last summer, for a variety of reasons (the fact we knew he had quality in there somewhere and most blamed Mourinho for stifling it, the fact Jose had let go Salah and De Bruyne before and been wrong, and the fact he was going to replace him with Willian or Perisic) but now it seems everyone cheerfully admits he’s a lazy bastard.

Jose was trying to rid the club of players that wouldn’t work for the team, but now Ole is tasked with doing the same it appears he’ll get far more leeway from the fans. It’s interesting to note how differently people are responding to Martial’s potential departure a year on.

We are supposed to be leaning towards a more United DNA/way and we give this fraud 250k a week .

This club is a shambles. It’s insulting.

I don’t disagree with your analysis (particularly the ‘not sure why Sanchez came on’ part). Neither is it a damning verdict og Martial’s usefulness as a player ever.

I do think, though, and did hope, that after finally raising his game a notch under Mou earlier this year, and after a bright start under Solskjær, that he was finally developing into that kind of attacking player you’d obviously want on the pitch, Sanchez or no McTominay, if you desperately needed a goal and he wasn’t injured. Neither Ome nor I seem to think he has yet, and I’m disappointed in that.
