No, he was fantastic. I just hope he doesn't get deflated when he's on the bench for the next big game and keeps his drive going.
Came on for the very easy part of the game. Looked like he can do things as ever. Question is can he contribute when it is meaningful, as a starter in tight games vs teams camped on edge of box. I think he can but needs to go out and do it. IMO Rashford didn't do much creatively bar his shot while the game was tough today either
He took his goal really well and looked dynamic when he came on, good to see the players boosting him up after both contributions, especially Pogba who seemed to be really trying to get him hyped.
There were times last season when he looked close to his best too, but then dropped his level's again. Thing is though, he's 21. It's only because of his ridiculous talent that he's not allowed to drop off at that age.

I love watching him when he's in this mood. A lot of nice play inside their box with Lukaku and Mkhi(?) before the goal and the assist as well. I would love to see him start vs Swansea. Who would he replace though?
He should be playing way more than those 10 minutes he got in 2 games so far. Alongside Mikhi our best performer in preseason.

Plenty of times last season when he was given a chance who would just give the ball away trying to beat 2 or 3 men. So far in pre-season and followed up today he seems to be skipping in between with ease.
You see with a lot of the best dribblers that there is times when they get a lucky deflection on their way past a man but to get this you need to be working to keep the ball, Martial is showing glimpses of that these past few weeks. I was watching MOTD and it cut to Mourinho after the goal. He showed about as much emotion as Martial.

I don't know but I would love to see it, Miki playing the floater role while Valencia bombs down the wing and Lukaku or Rashford dropping deep to help out Midfielders when needed. Pogba, Matic and Martial continuing to do what they are doing. For me at least it's the best forward line up we can put out.
