Nah, he's clearly low on confidence. Prefers to play a safe pass than try something different, and when he does try take someone on he's extremely predictable.
He was poor tonight. He tried a few things which is always good, but he could've played all night and everything would've gone wrong for him. I do worry about his attitude, he just seems a bit of a sulk and he's far too casual at times

He has hardly played this season and there have been games where he has played really well only to be dropped in the next game. Posters here have a very selective memory.
I saw about 5 minutes of the second half, he lost the ball twice and I didn't even notice him on the pitch. I refuse to give up on him, I want to trust Mourinho's judgement too but in all honesty both Martial's form and Mourinho's decision making at times this season have been absolutely dreadful.

I don't think you need to be confident to work hard. In fact you definitely don't and when things aren't going your way then that's how you get out of it. Sulking isn't.

Put him with another manager and you'll see the difference. Jose is not hot on him, and it feels like he has to do something spectacular in his little cameos for Jose to deign give him a start. That adds a lot more pressure than usual.

Martial only played well this season in February while he was struggling to get into starting XI . Before and after this he's just horrible in everything. His attitude is just horrible and frustrating . Zero work rate.
