The overreaction in here is mental. He's really not done anything of note this season.
He's done a feck ton more then Rashford that's for sure. Plus being our best (only good) attacking player last season and is being marginalized this season for no reason. Especially considering he's scored/assisted like in his last 7. You would think that type of output would come in use when we can't score to save our lives

He's done more than Lingard and Rashford.

This is the problem, I'd have no issue with him being dropped if it was for a player performing better than him in the same position, but there isn't, it makes zero sense from a footballing perspective. Much like with Mkhi we have to assume there is something going on with him behind the scenes we aren't privvy to that will hopefully resolve itself and result in him staying. It doesn't mean we can't be pissed to see him not play, though.

Martial for 60 rashford for 30 should have been the approach. Martial is better from starting and Rashford is better from bench.

It won't turn proper match going fans against him I can promise you that. The ridiculous overreactions are by a minority on the internet.

Oh yeah, the match going fans will really love Rashford offering zero on the LW, while a better player sits on the bench due to a stubborn manager.

All I want is for our in form attacking player to get minutes. Some will keep saying he's "done nothing of note" this season and I'm just trying to say he has when given the chance. You can only judge a player on when they play and in his recent form he's given us what we've lacked - presence from the left to set players up/score.

So you're pro Martial and anti this horsehit Jose is pulling? It just reads like yoiu are sure he's looking to drive him out.

Overreaction? Mate, whenever he has played he was influential on the pitch (bar that liverpool game, where he was covered by three scousers). If Martial has not done anything of note this season, then what about Mata, Rashford or Pogba?

To be honest I am starting to become irritated by Mourinho's decisions to skip Tony in the starting line-up. Says his bullshit about taking chances, yet when Martial takes them he is benched, while other players missing sitters are being picked ahead of him. With almost every manager since Fergie left we have the same feckin problem. Under Van Gaal, Herrera was the player not being picked even though he took his chances. And now Mourinho vs. Martial. FFS i am really pissed off.

I think it is time to bet that Fellaini comes on in the 46th minute and we begin our hoofball approach

It's clear what the message is. There are complete double standards from Jose and he's bout hiding it. The fact is he knows that Martial is capable of a hell of a lot more and he's showing that that is what he expects from him. He's doing this because he rates him so highly.

Overreaction? José bangs on about giving everyone a fair chance and having too many players in the squad yet Martial is given no chance? This young man carried this whole team last year and isn't even getting a look in under Jose because he supposedly doesn't track back well enough.

Goals are our weakness yet Jose doesn't start Martial... he's off in the Summer, who will replace him though?

Wouldn't be surprised if he leaves , Pogba 2.0 in the making.

This doesn't seen rational, how long can you keep throwing on Rashford when you have a better option on the bench. This seems personal tbh.

This is all well and good, but we can't score goals. We're deliberately weakening the side by not playing him. This kind of tactic only works when the other players are delivering.

Who said that? There are no issues with his tracking back.

It really seems to be something unrelated to anything that happens on the field.

People are so sad questioning the manager on this, he'll have his reasons, just trust him.
Would be nice if he said the reasons. He's not been afraid to bash Martial before saying he needs to have magnificent performances etc. If he just says there's issues off the field or whatever, people would understand. Not saying anything just suggests its personal. Even Lingard's played more in our last four matches than him.

Don't we have to pay an extra £10 million when he plays a certain number of games?

Starting to think that could be a factor here. There is no fathomable reason to pick Rashford over him going on the last month or so.

ugh, that's just depressing

We will waste 70 mins of shite with rashford before getting desperate and throwing martial on to bail us out. How can martial at a young age become the player wants him to be by consistently dropping him to the bench when eashford lingard fellaini all inferior players get chance after chance

Not being hysterical here. I would be hard to blame him for looking elsewhere if he thinks this is how things are going to be under Mourinho. Who would want to play for a manager that doesn't support him?

If PSG want him and would play him it would be hard to blame him for considering it. It would be hard to forgive losing a talent like him if it's just down to Jose being an ass.

Yeah right it's blind faith, Jose has done nothing in the past to justify a bit of trust.

Martial is going to be one of the best attackers in world football at some football club. Most of us just want it to happen here at United, not somewhere else because our manager is on an ego trip.

Yeah because Jose doesn't have a history of alienating young players who go on to be brilliant..

He also has track record of winning that demands respect, and a bit of trust.

For goodness sake he did a similar thing with Mikitayrian only a few months back, too much knee jerk crap been spoken imo.

So annoying when a talent like Martial for whatever reason cannot build upon a succesful 1st season. As if Utd is not allowed to enjoy a 2nd strong season from him.

Yeah right it's blind faith, Jose has done nothing in the past to justify a bit of trust.

Not for Manchester United he hasn't and he's coming off an utterly dogshit season where his antics caused a lot of problems with a player like Hazard who's now tearing it up again.

Sorry but I don't think Jose has earned that kind of trust.

In fact with this he is losing my trust. Not that it matters.

The other thing is, and I have said this with every manager, you cannot keep buying new players unless you get more out of what you have. I don't want Greizmann. I want the current team to play better. God knows we have enough talent. Make more out of it before running to buy other players.

Yeah, though if it comes to one or the other I'd have to back Jose.
Would definitely be the wiser thing to do, Mourinho's made his mistakes in the past but he's won a lot and will offer us a lot more in the future.

Maybe he will, and maybe a few weeks of what is been deemed harsh treatment will help him on his way.

People also seem to forget he will only be leaving if we allow it to happen, which we won't if he is so good.
