Angelo Henriquez

Apparently Juventus were scouting him at the Boca game. What is it with Juve this summer, I blame that agent.

Juve has just won the title with a solid side but which needs major reinforcements to compete on all fronts. They are doing what they had always done ie sign rough gems and develop them. Under such circumstances its evident that we will end up clashing swords with them for common targets

thats well and good but they're a tarnished side, playing in a corrupt league and they can feck off ;)

Considering how financially weak is the serie a this days many italian clubs would want juve to feck back in the serie b. Their scouts are like sharks and they can perform miracles with ridiculous ammount of money

Angelo Henriquez: I am happy in the U and not think of going yet

The striker expressed his desire to continue at the club, with rumors of a quick departure to Manchester United.

"I want to keep this club to win titles," he said.

The University of Chile striker Angelo Henriquez said his desire to stay for a while in the institution, despite rumors of a quick departure to Manchester United, cast that continues for years and that the player has signed a preliminary agreement with the club blue to keep their services.

"I'm happy in the U and the work is being done here. I have no more than four months and not think of going," he told El Mercurio.

Henriquez expects the English box not effective, so far, that provision of $ 4.7 million, and that his desire is to keep winning titles with U. Chile.

"Hopefully, not so fast. I look forward to the club to win titles. It is the club where I was born and I'm a lifelong fan. I do not want to go yet. I'm too young, I have much to live here and not I want to rush, "he stated.
Google translate.
I expect him to stay there a couple more seasons.

His team went out of the Libertadores last night after losing to Boca Juniors over two legs.

We might see some movement on his transfer now. It was clear that his involvement in that competition would delay any deal.

Do not sign a dying man.

Another nice goal from Henriquez from the edge of the box in tonights game against Colo Colo

Another example is Angelo Henriquez, University of Chile, whose pass can be purchased by Manchester United in exchange for $ 4.5 million when the player is 18 years (and fulfilled, and now everything depends on the "Diablos Red ").

Part of a larger article from latercera.com and a few others, he's now 18. UC looks like they're losing the majority of their best players.

There season will be over soon, we'll see if take up our option. I fully expect us to.

According to Beyond The Pitch podcasts latest episode, we have an option on him till 2014 and are very likely to exercise it this summer or in the January window.

Scored for the Chile under 23s in a 6-4 loss against Uruguays Olympic team. The Uruguay team included Cavani and Suarez, Suarez got a hat trick

Manchester City are trying to snatch hot-prospect Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez away from Manchester United.

City boss Roberto Mancini sent top spy Gary Worthington to watch the 18-year-old sensation play two games for his country's Under-20 side in a tournament in Holland at the weekend.

And now the champions want to hijack the £4million deal set up between neighbours United and Universidad de Chile for their starlet, who has already scored a dozen first team goals for them.

Henriquez has appeared destined for Old Trafford since he was a kid - he has already been over for a couple of visits, and there is an option in place to take him on when he has a chance of a work permit.

United also updated their files on Henriquez in the Dutch tournament, and are looking at him as a possible alternative to Paris Saint-Germain-bound Brazilian Lucas Moura after the collapse of his multi-million move.

But City could step in and try to do their own deal with Universidad de Chile as the club's money-men reacts to Mancini's stinging criticism about a lack of activity in the transfer market this summer.

Henriquez is open to offers and could be swayed if City make a bid to take him now rather than wait - and his club would also take the guaranteed cash.

Although Alon Nixon the author said that we've signed him back in the June

citeh don't need any scouts on their payroll, they can just open the paper and see who is linked to united and bid for them instead.

and there is an option in place to take him on when he has a chance of a work permit.

Which would suggest if we wanted to sign him there is nothing City can do about it:confused:

Nah - we've got the option until 2014. Anyone think that United aren't able to tie up legal contracts? Seriously?

Just newspaper speculation - bad news sells and we've had bad news with Morrison/Pogba/Fryers/Hazard/Moura so lets add this onto those.

For those who'll flame me Morrison was bad news in the sense that I'm sure Morrison and those at the club would have preferred that he was able to succeed at the club.

Back to Henriquez. When interviewed he seemed a level-headed type player and keen on United. He's been here twice and our coaches have been over so we're working heavily with him.

No way does he sign for City.

Just on cue, A Chilean Newspaper is claiming that he'll have a medical with us.

For Tuesday morning awaiting the return of the Chilean national team under 20, who has just taken part in various tournaments in Europe for the coming South America.

However, the delegation will return with one member less. This is Angelo Henriquez, University of Chile striker and one of the figures of the European land expedition to the Chilean youth squad.

The reason: the blue striker will stay in England, to new medical examinations performed at Manchester United. And that could trigger an acceleration in the process to sign the striker.

It should be remembered that there is a draft agreement between the University of Chile and Manchester United for the transfer of the player, who should specify in the near term.

This is lamented by the coaching staff of University of Chile. "Certainly it is a very useful player, with a major scoring ability," said Jorge Sampaoli assistant, Sebastian Beccacece, radio DNA.

He added that "We just have to have those and not with those who are not," he said.

The delegation of the Chilean U-20 will land on Tuesday at 7.30 am on Tuesday.

:) Hopefully this is true. Good goal scoring record for UdC for his age.

We only play center backs, wingers and forwards. It is the future. CM & FBs are a thing of the past.

Hopefully we'll sign him then loan him back to UC for a few seasons. Let him carry on his development where he's already establishing himself then bring him in a couple of years. I have a lot of hopes for this lad being the closest we've had to Ruud and am more than happy letting him continue where he is for a few years, instead of bringing him over and him not getting a game.

Just love translations.
