Angelo Henriquez

So if we sign him, i guess he will be sent on loan, if not we will have around 123 strikers in our squad.

Either that or we've had an agreement with his club for years that we get first dibs on him up until 2014.

Yes, but how do we know we've got a good player unless City or PSG try to hijack the deal?

No Bebe Sol? Come on. I'm sure he's a fine goalie.

I think our hand has been forced by interest by other clubs. Still good to see he's more or less signed for us. Exciting talent.

I hope we loan him back to his current club for another season. Could be the making of him.

Completely agree. As great as training with Rooney, Welbeck, Scholes etc will be for him, scoring goals every week in front of 40,000 people in the top division and competing for championships that mean something will be far better than depressing wet Thursday nights away at Sunderland u-21s in front of a couple of hundred.

Bit like the Jones deal.

Mail saying he's passed his medical.

Angelo Henriquez medical was at Bridgewater Hospital today, went in secretly at 12:30pm, successfully finished & passed at 3:35pm

I love how we can tie up a deal for a kid from halfway around the world, sneak him into the country for a medical and get it done and dusted in about 12 hours - but we can't manage something in months will a player 3 hours away by train. Sigh.

Chuffed to bits about this. One of the most natural strikers I've seen for some time.

Went in secretly. Clearly we've built an underground entrance to Bridgewater. No more white sheet failures.

Makes me wonder how many young players we've a deal like that on around the world. Our scouting system is really brilliant.

City's interest must have made us buy him now, unless it was a coincidence that City were simply linked with him yesterday of course. Very much like Jones as said above. Exciting times!

I'm sure we will get Park Chu Young eventually

Went in secretly, by just simply walking in, because nobody knows who he is anyway.

It's probably a poor reflection of sports media in this country that they don't recognise the (joint) top scorer for the Chilean champions (playing most the season at the age of 17), who has been training with United and had an agreement in place for years and was just in the papers today.

I don't know who he is, but his name tells me that he'll become a star.

Is there someone who has ever watched him? Is he any good?

I watched him a few times (4/5) over the past year or so after reading we had this first-clause, and he really does give off a Ruud vibe. Fantastic finisher, can take on a man, hasn't got electrifying pace but he's nimble. Think of a more dimensional Hernandez.
