Why do we always have the biggest set of morons to ever grace the planet reporting our deals? This won't be £75m but now as some twats have have decided to say it is, that figure will now get banged on about for the next few years (even if we decide to stamp the real price on his head).
They are reporting the intial price that Madrid wanted. I don't know why they would do that unless they have an agenda. Who reports the "starting price in negotiations"? What we only care about is the final price.

You think Ozil is more talented than Di Maria?
I don't think, I quite confidently state that ozil is more naturally talented than di maria. His touch, vision and skills are better than di marias, among other things and while he was a big game bottler at real, di maria was worse until the second half of last season in his midfield role . He was clearly the better player in his first three seasons. However like I stated earlier, di maria has a better attitude and works harder and is more flexible and last year in a midfield role played at a level higher than ozil ever has. If ozil can overcome the weak mentality he has (especially in big games) he will realise his potential and become the player he is capable of being (world class and among the best).

It's actually happening isn't it

The price does worry me though. It's going to get annoying being constantly reminded that we have the most expensive first 11 in the league after years of berating the oil money clubs but feck it it's not my money. Di Maria!
To be fair mate, our money is 100% profit only so it will be spent. What's the point in making 150 million a year if it can't be spent? If in the next 2 years we can get back to challenging/winning the PL I think the next 10 years will be even more exciting than the last 10 due to the money we can invest in the club.

I just explained to the poster above. People actually do believe we owe them something, people are saying so many time that I don't care if it is a joke or not-don't say it as people believe it. So, you basically wasted your 5000th post. You can't get that back now.
Well that made perfect sense. That's sarcasm by the way.

I'd say that is highly likely to be how we shape up now in plenty of games. He gives us the option at the very least without putting on of our nonperforming wingers on, of changing the shape of the team

Many say he's not what we need, he is someone we desperately need, he gives us raw speed and power that can drive through defences. We are also replacing what Valencia used to give us, an outlet down the wing to stretch defences.

It also balances out our more ball playing players like mata Rooney and janazaj, who create but do not have the acceleration to hurt teams, janazaj does offer us that, but di Maria is more natural at this job, this type of signing also suits a mata which allows the team to play 433/4231

I'm still scared that this is some sort of dream that I'm about to wake up from.

Who promoted you? Standards these days. :nono:
Can you please elaborate? What do you find wrong with my post? I am not criticising Di Maria's quality one bit, even if he is over-priced-I still want him here. Please look back at the context of my reply first.

Him / his wife liking images on instagram saying thanks from Madrid fans for his time there.

That was one of the prime reasons why he wanted to leave. It was the final push for him to decide his future wasn't at Real. Like I've stated in my earlier post there have been plenty of reasons why he wanted to leave Real and all those reasons culminated in him deciding to finally leave Real. Its not like he has been happy over the past 2 seasons and just suddenly became disenchanted with life at Real. It has been in the making for about a year now... It is fairly obvious that there were other factors at play here which led him to leave Real, not just Real buying James as his replacement. He could have possibly left even if that hadn't happened. Who knows what has been going on behind the scenes at Real with the contract negotiations of Di Maria . One thing is for sure though, the transfer rumours for Di Maria started way before James signed for them
That Ancelotti, the players and the majority of the fans wanted him to stay should be proof enough that he wasn't a Madrid reject.

Yet some muppets are trying their best to make it look like he's the one leaving instead of not being fully appreciated by the board, hence the signing of James.

It just seems strange to me how eager some people are to say that he chose United over Madrid. Whatever floats your muppet boats I guess.

He is moving down a level technically, but for all we know, we could be back in the CL next season, get Madrid in a tie and knock them out. Football is a funny old game.

Sorry I started a fire with a bad joke.

Can we have Ronaldo back for a tenner instead? Or maybe Benzema for £1.50 and an Eccles cake?

Agree fully. Him and Adnan are basically the only players who give us this. It will be great to see them both doing it in the same match

Since when the feck have we made 150m profit a year?

You're awake now. This is the Vidal thread and no, we still haven't signed him and Jamie Jackson has denied a link with Di Maria.

I suspect Rojo will be a starter sooner rather than later which means, with ADM, we will have 5 Spanish speakers in our starting lineup.

Jesus, feck the price ffs. In fact, add another 5m to it just to show United don't give a feck about player prizes. feck the police.

One thing they all have in common: all very good/comfortable on the ball.

I get what your saying, but he has chosen United over Madrid. Madrid offered him a new contract, they asked him to stay and he's refused, instead opting to join United (allegedly). Obviously there is more to it than that, but he had the option to stay, he didn't want it.

It's not something we have been used to over the years. Back before the millionaire owners we used to break the British record quite often. But it does feel odd doing it now. And if you add in the money they have spent on mata, shaw, Fellaini and Herrera it's crazy. Just takes getting used to for some, including myself

Will this be the first signing where the player is moving down a level to join utd?

I'm excited by this move cannot wait to see him play, but I do worry a tad. Look at Ozil, he doesn't want to be at arse. I just hope ADM has a great attitude
Thats a good point and something I was talking to my brother about. We know he's a good player just like Ozil, and I hope he isnt a sulky fooker and performs to his best. Our record with Argie players has not been great. 2 of them turned out to be shits and the other was an expensive flop. Lets hope DM can buck that trend.

It would be pretty damn awesome if we got khedira, for 12 or 15 million because of his contract, having herrera khedira di maria janazaj and mata in our midfield sounds pretty damn good too me, the real problem is? what too do with rooney and RVP? because with the di maria signing, where does di maria janazaj mata rooney and RVP fit into the same team? especially rooney has been named captain

Yeah, I was obviously joking but I said this yesterday, it's just the way football has evolved. You need to spend to compete nowadays, there's no two ways about it.

I would really worry about it to much. We can just rotate them, and most of the time one of them will be injured at any one time, solving the issue
