One good thing came of that game last night. Hopefully he won’t play again in a league game . He’s a shocking player
Should be behind McTominay in the pecking order
Neither of them are good enough as even squad players, but yeah, if we had to have one, it would be McTominay. Pereira is no kid, he is 23 years old and that's old enough in modern football.
He was dispossessed 14 fecking times in the 63 minutes he was on the pitch. That’s shocking.

Where do you find this number? I am looking at an statistics website and the number there is totally different.
There is no way he was dispossessed 14 times unless you are counting inaccurate passes, which is something different than being dispossessed. And even then I don't get to 14?
This!He did not lose the ball more often than others really, apart from his error ofcourse. If you look at the stats, his passing accuracy was in the same region as his partner Pogba, 82 vs 84. He send 51 passes in his 64 minutes, Pogba made 56 in 95 minutes. He did not win anything in the air, but did have a interception. Pogba got dispossed 3 times, Pereira once. Pereira got 61 touches of the bal in 64 minutes, Pogba 75 in 95 minutes. You can hardly say he was not making himself available when superstar Pogba was even more invisable.
Mind you, I am not saying Pereira did wel, but he did ok in a game in which we were struggling offensively. Rashford was very sloppy and Pogba did not do much better in the first half. It's a bit of a shame, because Pereira had a nice pass and interception just before his error. I was just thinking he was stepping up and then that happened.
I can agree that he did not show enough (again) to warrant a place in next years squad. He should be working very hard to show something better in the next months if he want to stay.
On the other hand, I believe many people on here are very harsh on him. People are expecting a player without much playing time to get a chance and totally command the game. The comments at half time were very much pointed to getting Pereira off when he did just as good/bad as the rest of the squad. Seems like a bit of an easy scapegoat in games that we struggle instread of being critical of the players that should carry United against mediocre opponents like Burnley. They should provide an inviroment in which new/young players can ease in the team. Realisticly many new players struggle at United because the players around them do the same. It's so much easier when the base of the squad is solid and I do not think we are far enough at this time. I hope we will be soon, otherwise other talents like Chong, Gomes, Garner and Greenwood will struggle as well.

Eh I feel bad for him. Gets one game every month or 2 and is expected to perform
Fully agree with this post. It is time to part ways for both parties, unless Andreas starts pulling out oak-trees and sequoias left, right and center. Good luck to the lad wherever he ends up.If Andreas was offered a new contract and he signed it I would say that would be the dumbest thing he could possibly do in this period of time in his career. He needs to get away from us.He's had enough loans as it is.He needs to think for himself.Understand that its highly unlikley he'll be part of the first team anytime soon and sign for a club where he's going to consistently perform in the first 11.He's just turned 23.He needs to get the 'United dream' out of his mind and play football.
We cant afford him the luxury to take his time here and neither can he.
As soon as I seen his name on the team sheet I worry. He’s an absolutely awful player. Shouldn’t of made so many changes last night ole. First mistake.
Pereira's got a very high technical level, arguably higher than a lot of other options in the squad, but I'm not sure it'll prove to be enough.
You have to be careful with young players because often they turn it around. However, Pereira has shown some worrying tendencies. Yesterday he started quite positively but as the game progressed he got more and more hesitant with his play, less and less willing to express himself. The same happened against Reading in the FA Cup and when we got trounced at Brighton. He retreats into himself a bit when things get tough in midfield and that is a psychological block he needs to get over to make it here.
I can see him leaving United and doing well at a team in a slower league where you get more time on the ball and there's less pressure to make quick decisions. Shame because I was really enthusiastic about him after pre-season.
Jones shouldnt have played that pass, but Pereira is to be blame as well for trying to turn at critical areas of the pitch.
Either way, this is the second game where he didnt really take his chances. I wonder how many more Ole will give, if any?
Don't know. Have seen some posters hyping him but it's lost on me. Have to say I didn't watch him at Valencia.Honestly why was he over-hyped in the first place ?
his attitude is the problem. He's unwilling to work his way into the team. He thinks he's better than he actually is.
Except he didn't. And counting incomplete passes as being dispossessed is a bit disingenuous. Other than some tweet which is blatantly wrong is there a source for this 14?He was dispossessed 14 fecking times in the 63 minutes he was on the pitch. That’s shocking.

Yes and it was false then and still is.I was jus repeating what’s previously been posted in this thread.
