Trigg
aka Trippin_Stoned
I've watched him play half a dozen times and you can tell he can play football. I think he'd be a great signing.
I guess with Jose's latest comments that this is a no go. As per usual journos link us with every compatriot of the new manager, which Jose has just squashed. Journos got to work harder now.

Seems the tweets are ambiguous though - you read portuguese, right? Is Luckhurts translation wrong? So this would only rule out Joao Mario?
Will he be starting for Portugal in the euros?
Thanks! Did he say anything else interesting?I saw Mourinho's interview on my lunch break. Luckhurt's translation is wrong. He was talking about players from the portuguese league. And yes it rules out João Mário, Lindelof or Carvalho.

Great so Mario and Carvalho are safeNot really mate. He said he wouldn't buy players from the portuguese LEAGUE, he didn't rule out buying portuguese players from other european leagues.

He was on Bayern Munich's list too before they decided to go rather for Renato Sanches.
You already answered your question about Kondogbia
He has been pretty shit at Inter and was voted one of the worst buys of the season.
He has looked very dodgy defensively tonight.

Honestly, he didn't do enough in his 45 minutes against England to be either concerned or excited about. It wasn't much of a match, and he didn't have much of a chance to shine. He's clearly a talented fellow, but I haven't seen nearly enough of him to have a strong opinion. From what I have seen, he doesn't strike me as a must have, can't miss, sure to improve our team type of player. I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good addition (for the right price), but I don't think he'd be a transformative one. Rather, he may be one piece in a bigger puzzle. Sanches showed more in his ten minutes or so that caught my eye. We desperately need a midfielder of that ilk - a strong, quick, athletic bulldog of a midfielder that can drive the ball forward and pick a pass. Gomes can certainly dribble, but I'm not sure that he's athletic or combative enough. I wouldn't be disappointed if we bought him, but there may be better options available.
I can't really argue with that, as you've likely watched him play more often than I have. If we truly are interested in him, I hope your assessment is accurate. I appreciate your thoughts. He is definitely athletic, and can drive with the ball. Last night wasn't much of a match, but he showed glimpses I think, including one run in which he ran about 30 yards with it and took on a couple of players.
I think he's at least equal to Gundogan in talent and can develop into a similar or better midfielder personally. I see potentially the same sort of style in them as CMs, although Gundogan can also operate a bit deeper I guess. Perhaps Herrera is more the role he would replicate here, and I believe he'd be an upgrade.
Id love to see him go to Juve. But there's a lot to suggest that soon he will be. Can only speak of his games against Madrid, but both times he seriously impressed. This guy has the ability to run down an entire midfield. Good passing technique and range, very agile, good at shooting - would hate to see him go to Juventus.
Don't know why people are calling him average. Looks very good to me.
If United don't sign him now, I can see him playing for Barcelona or Real Madrid in a years time
I've seen him have too many bad games. Too many games where he might as well not be on the pitch.
This.
But he is a striker and they're the first to disappear when the team plays poorly.
