Being dropped does not necessarily mean he’s not good enough. Heck we have had good players that didn’t make the team; Paul Scholes was famously shafted just so SGE can pair Gerard and Lampard in centre mid. De Gea was dropped from the Spanish team even during his peak for us, and players like Roy Keane has been dropped for disagreement with the coaching team.
