Is this real because I thought we offered more then 40m and that they wanted over 50m?

Brilliant post. I can’t wait to see him sweep up a ball in behind and catch a cross/corner. The amount of times that has caused panic in our defence in the last 5 years especially is terrible!Get in. This will be the most noticeable upgrade we could have made this summer to our play style, and a huge step forward for Ten Hag IMO.
Say good bye to goalkeeper rooted to his line on every single cross or ball in behind, say good bye to useless build up play, say goodbye to collapsing when pressed... Say hello to occasionally/rarely getting the sweeping wrong but preventing so many other chances and just controlling games so much better now, say hello to becoming a press resistant team in possession, say hello to higher defensive lines and better team pressing as a result.
Leads to better control of games, more consistency, more dominance, less fatigue as it's not end to end always.

Inter want 55m EUR including bonuses, our offer seems to be 40m pounds base + 5m pounds in bonuses, which is about 53.5m EUR, so it's basically done. Our first offer in pounds was 35 + 5Is this real because I thought we offered more then 40m and that they wanted over 50m?
If we get a keeper like him, teams won't press us as much higher up the pitch.
Teams know if they press him high, he can play the line breaking pass into Bruno or Mount, on the turn they will be able to find the runners in behind.
Thanks Simon Stone for that groundbreaking insight.
with Lindelof yes. With Maguire no, as Onana’s passes will just expose Maguire even morehe can also mitigate a lot of Lindelof and Maguire's weaknesses from a speed perspective as he will be on hand to sweep up behind them.

Why was he dropped for Cameroon in the World Cup? Heard it was because of argument with Song, not that he's worse than the other keeper?
This also explains why Mount is the type of midfielder we have added, to play and press higherIn turn he allows us to defend higher, pushes Martinez further up the pitch as a creative passer from deep, we can also play a higher line with our sub defenders as he can also mitigate a lot of Lindelof and Maguire's weaknesses from a speed perspective as he will be on hand to sweep up behind them.
He had a fall out with the manager. Song took issue with him playing so much out of his goal with his feet, they had a big row, he got sent home. Why was he dropped for Cameroon in the World Cup? Heard it was because of argument with Song, not that he's worse than the other keeper?

Ye I tend to go of bbc and sky sports.Being reported on BBC that we are hoping to secure the player. That’s a good indication that this will likely be completed very soon.

BBC aren't what they used to be been proper sucked in by the age of clickbait, although this is obviously going to get done either way now.

Yep, which is perhaps why we went for Mount rather than a De Jong type controller at the back?
If Lisandro / Shaw can play line breaking passes, we dont need a 8 to do that and allows Bruno and Mount to occupy spaces in behind the midfield and defence if teams do try press.
Stuff like that is so cringe. Like did Eric tell them this at a coffee date?
Going from DDG to Onana would feel like going from Maguire to Martinez.
When the ball's in the sky and your keeper flies high that’s Onana.
When being pressed ain’t no thing and your keeper’s on the wing that ‘s Onana.
Haven’t seen much of him, but I’m a bit worried it’s similar to Antony, someone who ETH is pushing for hard and the club haven’t really scouted him themselves. Still, I guess he is the best available.
