Haven’t seen much of him, but I’m a bit worried it’s similar to Antony, someone who ETH is pushing for hard and the club haven’t really scouted him themselves. Still, I guess he is the best available.
No everyone rates this guy not just eth. The only other guy available really would be maignan, pretty close between those two, maignan would likely cost more though

Maignan is up there with Allison as the best in the world IMO, don't think onana is quite there's I'd put him more on Ederson level of talent and style, similar strengths and weaknesses. Top goalkeeper, but not as consistent as the top 2. Ederson more proven of course but Onana is pretty much the same for me.

Big upgrade. Not seeing De Gea flapping about in the new season will be a revelation. 5 years of misery coming to an end finally.

We’re really really close but will only seal it by the end of next week? Seems like a bit of a delay for a deal that’s basically done. But so happy to get this guy regardless!

It's Andre Onana, how much scouting do you think he needs? Everyone has known who he is for ages now.

Maybe he means medicals, presentation, pictures and all that stuff. Could be agreed with Inter early next week

I'll be honest and the cup final was the only game I have seen him play for an whole match and he was pretty impressive.

Happy for this, basically a complete defensive unit now, just need squad depth

Onto the #9

Seen him play twice and both times were European Cup Finals. Hopefully it's an omen. He lost both of them, hopefully that isn't.

He did look excellent against City honestly. I have never been this excited for a goalkeeper signing before as I think last season really did expose to us how important a keeper who's good with his feet is now.

he will be a big upgrade for the build up game. otherwise we will see but for sure a good call

he's on £67k per week at Inter.....push him up to 100k a week and nothing too crazy

Well, looks like I'll have to get used to even higher blood pressure during our games now. But still quite excited if we manage to sign him!

One thing I don't get is why Inter are so relaxed with selling him. You'd expect them to demand a much higher fee but it seems like they don't mind if he moves on which I find quite surprising. Just seeing that he moved to Inter only last season as well.

Lloris, poor Inter

It's going to be a bit of an issue for them judging from the Champions League final. They seemed incredibly reliant on Onana for beating the press. They might suddenly find themselves boxed in with Darmian and Acerbi not being the greatest passers and Lloris lumping it upfield.

What I like about him is his bravery on the pitch. Would be a nice change of pace to have a dominant GK.

Looks done. ETH making some proper changes. I reckon most managers would consider De Gea good enough but he needs players to fit his system

ETH has done what Klopp and Guardiola did. Brought in a keeper that suited their style of plays.

De Gea is barely even what Joe Hart was when Pep replaced him, he's fallen a lot. Constant mistakes with shot stopping, useless aerially and always rooted to his line, useless playing out, mediocre sweeping, can't stop pens... He's not a goalkeeper that deals with pressure well, mental or physical. His time has long since passed.
