We have no keeper from tomorrow onwards stone..
12 days before our first friendly against Leeds.
We either extend DDG on a cheap or sign a new GK (most likely Onanananana) before that.

Henderson isn't going anywhere till we get a New Keeper .We starting the season with Heston as first choice are we ? Henderson is as good as gone
He burned his bridges a longtime ago.Henderson isn't going anywhere till we get a New Keeper .
Just let De Gea play and make it his leaving party. Leeds usually ship at least 4 against us so it will be fun all round.12 days before our first friendly against Leeds.

I don't think Henderson is welcome back regardless of our keeping situation.Henderson isn't going anywhere till we get a New Keeper .
Yes, but we won’t be starting a season with Heaton in goal and Kovar on the bench, so if no GK is signed, Henderson will still play…He burned his bridges a longtime ago.
Hardly matters it's not as if we are making him no 1 going forward , we will just delay his departure till the time we get Keeper signing sorted .He burned his bridges a longtime ago.

I'm sure he'll agree to play one game with a testimonial contract. Players do it all the time.He won't play for free. I.e. we have to give home a contract to play!
The signing of Mount suggests a GK is a priority before a ST.If DDG leaves today then the absolute priority becomes GK, even if it means a season of Rashford starting as ST with Garnacho starting LW.

Rather play Heaton.
As OP said, Henderson burnt bridges. And ETH doesn't seem like one to tolerate jerks..

We have a month to get a new keeper, why do we need to keep Henderson? He's goner regardless of our situation.Henderson isn't going anywhere till we get a New Keeper .
This will happen 100 percent. We'll have just Heaton without backup. Godness knows what will happen if he gets injured. We starting the season with Heston as first choice are we ? Henderson is as good as gone
Yeah I understood that, but I'm pretty sure Henderson has been told to clear his locker out when he left.I am not saying Play Henderson just suggesting that keep him till the time we get new No 1 sorted obviously it should be done before the competitive season starts .
Just for appearance sake.
Because you either aren't capable or can't be bothered, here it is again for you. The agreements were well in place with Inter and Onana far in advance of EtH's name even being mentioned in rumours to come to us, it was signed off officially in January of 2022.
I see. So we were incapable of organizing anything before January. Thats amazing that the club didnt fall apart completely before that. Course you're probably just wrong
Fair enough then .Yeah I understood that, but I'm pretty sure Henderson has been told to clear his locker out when he left.
Onana will be done by next Thursday.
Think the problem with De Gea is that even still on occasion he has the ability to make saves only ten keepers in the world could make (and maybe Onana can't) but he will then concede possession in games United are dominating and allow a goal where you think "FFS Massimo Taibi saves those".De Gea doesn't save a lot of the "de Gea saves those" type of shots anymore so whatever. And besides, being strong in the air, quality passing out from the back and having a mentality where you relish the big occasions are all far more important for big clubs than just an elite shot stopper but who is woeful in those 3 aspects.
Then what was starting with Heaton all about .We have a month to get a new keeper, why do we need to keep Henderson? He's goner regardless of our situation.
He left on really bad terms from what I remember, then went public about it once he joined Forrest.Fair enough then .

Pre-season presumably. DDG is out of contract tomorrow and until we sign a new one most likely we need to play Heaton in the friendly games. Then what was starting with Heaton all about .
You're still going with this?I see. So we were incapable of organizing anything before January. Thats amazing that the club didnt fall apart completely before that. Course you're probably just wrong
Why would we go out and secure a keeper when we didn't even know who the manager was going to be? Go take your head for a shit.
Yeah I remember that but weren't there reports of Ten Hag wanting him back in January after Dubravka left or am I imagining .He left on really bad terms from what I remember, then went public about it once he joined Forrest.
Oh My bad then ideally I wouldn't want Henderson to feature either if he doesn't have future here , get the new Keeper sorted out quickly and let him gel with the team as soon as possible .Pre-season presumably. DDG is out of contract tomorrow and until we sign a new one most likely we need to play Heaton in the friendly games.
I wouldn't want to start Henderson in our pre-season as it makes zero sense. He's goner either way. Play reserve keeper or ideally get a new one asap.
Its called planning. Something you should do before posting. De Gea had been performing poorly, one of the reasons we were looking for a new manager. Of course you'll find an excuse for that too
The question mark would suggest i don’t agree with the statement but you do you lad. This will happen 100 percent. We'll have just Heaton without backup. Godness knows what will happen if he gets injured.
Isn't that one of his strengths? From the limited times I've seen him it's one of the qualities that stood out to me.I think Onana is overhyped by the media. Good Goal keeper but nothing else. the fact that he may be good at his feet should be a bonus not a main requirement. A goalkeeper should primary be judged by how commanding he is ..able to make good saves..etc..Courtois may be a good example for that. Infact until recently a player who used his feet much was a considered a high risk goal keeper. I remember the Columbian goalkeeper ..Higuita.
I personally would renew Degea contract for a year and spend the money for other positions. we will have one more year not to worry about goalkeepers.
Just so we are clear, YOUR plan would involve securing a goalkeeper (or indeed any player) who the eventual appointment might not fancy/doesn't fit into their preferred game model?
Thank feck you aren't in charge of any football club, let alone this one.
Not sure, think he was already injured at that point and was out for the season?Yeah I remember that but weren't there reports of Ten Hag wanting him back in January after Dubravka left or am I imagining .
FFS this is literally mentioned every other page. He had already agreed a pre contract with Inter before ETH joined United.
are we the only club that agrees personal terms with players before agreeing a fee with the club? I use to think a bid would have to be accepted and then you talk to the player.
