So on top of my head:

Bayern Away:
1) He let in a feeble attempt for 1st goal.

Galatasaray Home:
2) Gifted them a penalty with a poor pass which resulted in Casemiro being sent off as well.

3) Almost ducked to concede against Icardi for the winner.

Galatasaray Away:
4) Pool positioning and wall setting for the first goal

5) Howler for the second goal.

A single player having 5 mistakes in 3 matches and all game changing events, I may have missed one or two, please feel free to remind me.
Copenhagen away. At least two goals were very savable

This entire champions league campaign failure is down to butterfingers. Even his best moment came in the only game we won.

I wrote it in the match forum. Everyone is going at out defence and Ten Haag etc but it was all Onanas fault. They had 3 proper shots on goal and he fkd them all up. Even the 3rd he should not get beat near post.

His mechanics of goalkeeping is all wrong. They way he positions, which hand he leads with, the strengths of his hands. Everything. I can't believe a pro goalkeeper or coach can't spot it a mile off

How did the scouts fail to see he can't actually save many shots?!

To think being a "good shotstopper" is often used as a back handed compliment for a keeper!

He actually saves a lot of shots.

His problem is with a certain type of shot that @Bobski mentioned. This is most evident in the goals he conceded against Bayern, Brentford and today.

He's in until the end of the season and then it should be a case of looming at making a change. His distribution is good and he commands his area pretty well but fundamentally the most needed attribute for a goalkeeper is shot stopping. That's the area he struggles badly with.

Zero chance he's getting dropped as United are getting back players that can actually utilise the main reason he was brought in.... believe it or not, they played from the back reasonably well at times without Martinez back, more so with Mainoo in there over Amyabet too, but Shaw's obviously a massive help towards that. I mean Newcastle we be a far bigger test, and come back to me after that. But I just don't see him getting dropped while the injury excuse of Martinez is there to kind of "protect" him - though nothing should be protecting from his paper hands.

We needed to replace DDG - a well-run club would have done that a long time ago
Onana is not a good goalkeeper - there were much better options out there
This questions ETH's judgement - and the systemic failure of our transfer operation
We still need a new keeper - it needs to be a priority

Most of them when we were leading too. All the hard work just, pfff, undone.

There must be a keeper out there that can do the basics well AND play out from the back?
Hopefully we can find some money somewhere and try a new keeper in January

Yeah ten hag seems to not have a brilliant eye for talent but most top clubs would have help for him, a competent director of football and other supporting staff rather than just relying on the manager

He’s been one of our best players recently but he cost us badly in the CL. It’s mad how he can go from being a rock at inter on a run all the way to the final and get us knocked out of a very easy group on paper the very next year. That’s the luck that’s inside the club at the moment. He was the gettable GK with the least question marks about his ability to handle big occasions. Also the manager having worked with him before. Anyway, feck it. We were going to get schooled as soon as we got out of the group anyway so for this year it is what it is. We badly need to control the midfield a lot better and take the sting out of things. Even Everton were all over us for a large part of the first half. That needs to be sorted

The man just isn't very good. It's incredible how a goalkeeper so poor can go for such big money and play for such a prestigious team. Sometimes football players seem to just get really lucky, somehow. He is turd.

If he can't be trusted to do the basics right, and he clearly can't, why not give a chance to that other cnut we bought this summer. He's probably shite as well, but you never know.

He's basically the English version of Onana in my opinion, very similar keepers.

Not really. Certainly a stronger shot stopper, but no way Pickfords at the level of distrubution Onana is at, and what Ten Hag clearly wants, he's a good middle ground option though, thus the interest and likely would of been the better option until there's genuine ability and depth to play that way consistently in front of the keeper. The attempt at this style crumbles with a couple of injuries for United at the moment.

I’d take Ramsdale over him in a heartbeat and I don’t even rate Ramsdale that much.

The mad thing is he is now playing like De Gea from last season, minus the actual shot stopping. Not the passing we thought we paid for.

If Taibi had got a whole season, this is how it would have played out.

Andre Onana.........I'm sorry but Andre Onana has to go.

* We got rid of DeGea for the same reasons.
* Onana is hurting us
* Surely he has to come out of the team ......and at least get dropped.
* He sucking the life out of his teammates ......they must be gutted after playing so well.

Give our back up keeper a chance.....
Especially as Onana is gonna leave us for over a month.... playing in the African Cup Of Nations

Barthez was multiple times the keeper Onana is. Barthez's issue was mainly concentration, not looking like an amateur who has never played in goal before.
Exactly. That second goal it almost looked like he tried his best to make it go in.

Karma is a bitch. I always thought coming in and immediately having a go on the (during this time) ridiculed Maguire in front of Millions was poor from him.

How the table turned...

It was impossible to downgrade from DDG. A dustbin with a face painted on it would have been more useful.

It was 100% the right decision to get rid. What we then do with his replacement is a completely separate discussion.
You are proper delusion reincarnated pal. You have a downgrade in front of you eyes and you still blubber crap about DDG.

Astonishingly bad performance. Unbelievable to concede 2 goals from relatively ordinary free-kicks. No idea what he was doing for either of them. Not sure about their 3rd goal, possibly at fault.

Horrible distribution. Managed to kick it straight to a Galatasaray player midway inside our half at one stage. Regularly booted the ball out of play. 48% pass completion.

He's been inept in the CL.

Come on, Barthez is criminally underrated here. This guy doesn't look like a keeper even his saves look unorthodox.

As much stick as Barthez got. He's levels above this bluffer. John O Shea as a GK looks levels above him ffs.

The hint is the the fecking job title. GOAL KEEPER .. he treats the ball like it's molten lava. Get rid, move on, thanks for coming, see ya later. Club needs to ruthless for once and for all.

Sick of sticking with shit.

DDG was shockingly awful. Why can't people comprehend another scenario, in which we sign one of the other 100,000 registered FIFA goalkeepers, rather than keep banging on about a fella who was rightfully let go and is STILL without a club in December
He most definitely wasn't "shockingly awful". You don't win golden glove in your last season if you are shockingly awful, no matter the defence in front of you. Replacing him wasn't the worst decision but to replace him by buying a worse version of Barthez for 50m is one of the biggest blunders the club has done in the past decade, and there has been some blunders. I honestly can't remember the last time a watched a worse keeper at this level.

That would have done.

The more it goes, the more I'm tempted to say tha Onana is a fecking fraud. I'm sure all Ajax fans out there are in a "I told you" mode now since they witnessed his failings firsthand, especially in that return leg against Spurs in 2019.

On the 1st goal, his job was to set up the wall and make sure that enough players were in that wall. How the feck can you expect a 4-man wall to stop while there was a gap between the wall and the 5th man?

On the 2nd goal... that was pathetic by any standard. How can you not expect the ball to come towards you? Taibi was near perma-benched after that howler against Southampton a long time ago.

On the 3rd goal, that shot came at an angle that any decent goalkeeper should stop with good positioning.

Everything about him really sickens me to my core. The way he flaps around, the way he allows weak goals, the way he doesn't read the play well enough and and throws away leads... He definitely is one of the most terrible signings I have seen in recent memory, pants down. Perhaps he should sit down and reflect on how awful he is. Dumpster fire of a goalkeeper and I don't think I'm harsh enough when I say that the following meme below sums up Onana as a whole for us.

Here's a novel idea: a goalkeeper should make saves. It should be the first, second and third priority. Then, and only then, can we start to look at things like passing, jumping, break dancing and whether or not they have a cool name.

He must be dropped for the next match because....

1) Too many mistakes.
2) His build-up play isn't amazing that we can overlook this mistakes.
3) A terrible sign to the squad if a player can make so many mistakes and nothing changes.
