Waiting for the "he received a personal call from Jose Mourinho and that was all it took" tweet.
I think the thing that counted against Veron was he was coming into a team that was already fully functioning and well balanced. It was harder to adapt a winning formula to accommodate him. Herrera is coming into a dysfunctional team that needs to be completely reconstructed. It's a different kind of challenge but the advantage is Van Gaal has a clean slate to devise a system to get the best out of the players we have by the start of the season, with Herrera presumably right at the heart of it.Michael Carrick had it all to prove as well and he worked out alright. Juan Veron had a much bigger name and didn't do half as good here. Having a big name isn't everything.
He has all the attributes to play the box to box role for us and he has a manager that will know how to use him. The likes of Vidal were just a fantasy, while Fabregas and the like don't fit into van Gaals system. Herrera, on the other hand, is practically tailor made for it.
Spanish bureaucrats... why does it have to appear more complicated with them?
That's all well and good apart from the fact the clubs recent major announcements - Mata signing, Moyes going, LvG taking over, Giggs retiring - all happened while the stock market was closed. But it's ok, most of the Caf will keep believing this myth that nothing can happen while the stock market is closed.
I think it's safe to remove 'At Carrington' from the title unless he's having a sleepover there.
There are problems. The LFP is studying the document because there seems to be "a technical problem". Are studying.
FECK
Who is this guy? Should we see this as a credible source?
Feck indeed. He's the one who broke the news, and yes.
A technical problem.
Only United would have this shit happen.
Dithering? We only heard about this a day or two ago. Does it really matter if it happens today, tomorrow or Friday, as long as it happens? What's with all the daft impatience? It was the same with van Gaal.Thought this would of been announced today. Dithering united once again. Hopefully were get some news on Shaw by the weekend now he's back in England
Yeah, no other transfer deals ever have problems, they all run smooth and just happen organically. Always.A technical problem.

Mate, this sort of post can cause hysteria, unless you've an official source for stuff like that then ffs shush.Deal off well isn't that great. WOODWARD OUT!!!
JUST KIDDING OF COURSE

I'm perfectly calm. I was just kinda playing along.Jesus, calm yourself down, I'm only messing. I just found the 'technical problem' bit funny.
Absolutely. The big difference is Bilbao seem to be willing to do the deal, unlike last summer. This "technical issue" could be something very minor, we shouldn't be too worried I reckon.

I was nearly taking my ball home then.
