All ticket/travel information thread - 2009/10: Touting will not be tolerated

Thanks. How do you go about getting better tickets, including the entire Museum and Stadium Tours (and MatchDay Experience, whatever that is)?

Museum and stadium tours can be done most days, as long as you book them, as they sell out some days, they dont do the tours on match days anyway.

I've no idea what "matchday experience" is. Something to do with paying £50 to sit in silence whilst being abused by stewards and watching Nani fall on his arse? I think you'll get that with your match ticket anyway.

For Museum and Stadium tours, just turn up and pay when you want to go. As for tickets, ask on here mate! Will be plenty of fans away for their Christmas Hols that can't make it.

Not me personally, but someone has asked me if I know anyone willing to take 2 tickets for CSKA tomorrow - £35 each. I don't know where they are but if anyone is interested PM me and I can give you contact details.

In that case, I'm looking for two great tickets for Man Utd-Wigan (30th Dec) and 2 for Bolton-Hull the night before.

PM if and when anyone has any news.

Bolton v Hull will definitely not sell out. Contact the club - it may be pay-on-the-gate.

Tickets for West Ham away are on general sale on their site, sitting in the West Ham end naturally, if anyone's interested.

cheers for the heads up - I may well get a couple of these. Does anyone know where the away fans sit at Upton Park nowadays?

credit crunch obviously biting all over the place - it is usually always a sell out when United come to town - although i just checked ticket prices and the worst seats are £45 going upto £63 so it is not that much of a suprise.

Edit: Got my ticket - if I have got it right then I will be in Row A in the tier right above our own fans.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong but it seems I'm required to log in to buy tickets?

By the way, would it be easy/possible for me to get (two) tickets for the Besiktas game, preferably in the Stretford End. I'm not a One United member so far this season.

I might have to get on this West Ham home end, which stand are our lads going to be in? Isn't it usually the bottom corner of the Trevor Brooking stand?

Yes that is my understanding - I bought ticket in NU2 as there were some available on the front row.

Did you have to register as costumer to buy tickets, or did you phone in? What, how!

Yes I had to register - was quite a simple process to buy online after that.

I also just sent you a PM about Besiktas.

I did that too. I've never been to an away and I've certainly never sat with the opposition fans. Do you think (know if) the United fans will be in front of the NU2? And will you have to be all quiet and emotionless where you got your ticket?

My mates saying he has done it before, few years ago, for a Blackburn game at Upton Park and managed to get into the away end with his ticket. Apparently they didn't even check it. Ridiculously tempted but a feck load of money to get the ticket taken of you at the turnstile.

AFAIK the United fans will be at the left side of the lower tier of Trevor Brooking Stand but I am not 100% sure plus it depends how much allocation we get exactly.
Ive sat in the home end for away matches a few times - yes you do have to keep quiet unfortunately - especially at West Ham as the home fans are generally a bunch of cockney thugs !

Not sure I would want to risk that to be honest but I guess it is worth a look on the day to see what exactly the situation is.

Thought so, I think I'll give that one a pass then. How can you enjoy that though, to watch United and contain yourself?

I tried purchasing tickets to a game, but the official website said that there is a ballot for One United members (which I am obviously not), and tickets are often oversubscribed even for them.

I am still confused as to how I can go about purchasing 2 'best seat in the house' tickets for United - Wigan on Dec 30. As ralphie so generously pointed out earlier, the caf is an option, but is there anything more...concrete, such as the official website itself?

The trouble is, they will only go on General Sale shortly before the match itself. You will not have a problem getting tickets though -there's a few on here that are usually pretty good if you give them notice, if not let me know in a few weeks and I'll see what I can do.

Well obviously it is not ideal but if the choice is watch United and keep quiet or dont watch at all then it is an easy choice to make!

Choice between watching loudly in the pub or quietly in the stadium. I do understand both choices. One costs significantly less than the other though.

You can't get in the United end with a home end ticket...

If you are in the home end, keep yourself feckin' quiet, particularly at West Ham or you'll receive a slap.

Mate I have two tickets right near the front of the Stretty near the players entrance tunnel for the match against Wigan. £54 face value for the pair

PM me, I can give you advice on other stuff you might want to do as well

Watching in pub and watching live is not the same!
plus it is 3pm Saturday - it wont be on in many pubs

I've given up sitting in the home ends. I can never enjoy it properly.

These reasons are why I'm not all over this. Plus I'd be pissed up and no doubt mouthy as feck.

Still half tempted mind..

Get on this arjwiz. Brad's got cracking seats.

Do it. Having sat in them for a season I can confirm this, arguably the best seat I've sat in at OT barring ST2 but that's only for atmosphere, view wise these are top.

Got two tickets for Utd V Besiktas. East Stand Tier 1 upper. £77 for the pair.

Right.

I will, through strange and mysterious circumstances, find myself in London this weekend. What are my chances at getting to see the match at Stanford Bridge? Miniscule? Microscopic? :D

If your willing part with a shitload of cash you may have a chance

Well, sadly, I don't have a shitload of cash. But I am investigating a lead and my father, who works over there atm, will try to swing some through work. But I ain't holding my breath.

Eh? You saying you prefer watching in the pub than going to OT?
:confused::eek::nono:

OT is absolutely devoid of atmosphere, and full of people that have no idea what they're talking about. As was pushed right in my face the other night - 'Valencia, he's feckin shit 'im mate, can't do a feckin' thing........feckin' VALENCIAAAAAAAA, GET IN.' Wait, what?
