Bit new to One United...could use some advice.

Basically I have a strong preference to sit in either the east or stretty for every game. So I was wondering am I better off not applying for games like Burnley at home, which are guaranteed to have tickets left over after the ballot, and then buy them later so I can pick my section?

wum.

2 spare pairs for tomorrow vs Everton

One in North Tier 1 and the other in North West Quad Tier 2. Need to be picked up from the ticket office - I can ring up and change pick up name and email you confirmation email, which is all you need.

PM, thanks.

Ok, I know its a bit early, but would love a ticket for Villa at Home on 12th December. If anyone can help me out with that it would be great

My ticket for Besiktas has become available.

WL101 £27 face value. Can meet tomorrow with ticket or post it. PM me if interested.

Possibly, POSSIBLY, have 1 spare next to me in tier 2 stretty tomorrow night, towards the corner, above the tunnel. Face value of course. Just trying to gage interest, I'll find out a bit later this evening.

You'll do well to shift that mate.

I disagree Ralphie, Think it'll go as its in stretty. If it was my old seat in north tier 2 then maybe i would struggle, we will see. I'll tell you what though, things are getting really fcuking hard mate. We do an 18 hour round trip every game and fill a 55 seater, some games we bring an 18 seater too. 7 spares for tomorrows game. fecking midweeks are killing us, not looking forward to Wolves. :(

Well good luck shifting it mate, just saying that cos I know of loads going for below face from people who can't make it.

Yes the midweeks are proving to be a 'mare. Loads of people just aren't bothering even though they've already paid for their tickets. I can see a lot walking away at the end of the season, especially if we get through to the LC semi. :(

I'll admit I'm not exactly up to speed on the acs, I dont get involved. I opted in last season and got turned down for a ticket to the final. So I opted out this year. Why would people bother opting in at all if this is the case?

So you can apply for away tickets mainly. And get two a season if you are lucky!

Exactly. It was a serious question, I honestly dont understand why anyone would opt in, we have 47 season ticket holders and not one of them opted in, why would you, no guarentee of cup final tickets and low chance of anything else applied for eg aways semis etc.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Anyone here who opted in and thinks it was worth it?

Anyone at all interested in sitting next to me (at half time at least ;) in stretty tier 2, I'll take an offer on the £36 ticket. Still not heard if its 100% available, but it looks increasingly likely.

I've opted in, so that I can apply for away tickets. This season I've not got a single one on my own ticket so it's obviously not worth it. But in the past it's got me a few aways and a few cup finals so then it has been.

Around for a tinnie before the match?

Yeh I opt in. Waste of time this season, still never had a domestic away. Last season it came in handy, allowed me to get into the European loyalty pot and gain tickets for Inter away, Porto away, Arsenal away and Barcelona out in Rome

And despite being unable to attend midweeks over the last couple of years, somehow I've managed to shift all of my Carling Cup, FA Cup and Champions League games

But if I don't get an away at all this season, and they keep the same ticketing policy next season, I'm gunna knock it on the head. Not worth it, too much fuss, and the whole scheme is a fecking travesty

Tollgate is it? I might wander down, bringing my boy, dont let the truancy officer know eh. Anyone else going ?

Yeah my folks are going to knock the ACS on the head next season (they're on OAP tickets so they can do). Will be sad as my Dad always used to go to the Cup Finals and stuff but they've decided it's just not worth it.

Can someone explain to me why ST holders dont go to the matches and leave the seats empty?!

The Compulsory Automatic Cup Scheme - introduced by the Glazers - forces Season Ticket holders to also buy tickets for all home FA Cup and CL matches, whether they want to go or not.

This i know, but its been around for a few years now..? Surely ST holders have factored that in to their budgetting for a year, and can go to the matches since they have already payed for it, especially the majority who are in the greater manchester area.

some people have work, other commitments etc....

Thats fine, but the numbers are much larger this year. Are people actually staying at home if they cant sell their tickets and letting empty seats go?!

Probably yes, a lot of people have to seriously rush to get there, even if they are from the manchester area with getting back from work and traffic etc it can be a proper bastard to get there anywhere near on time even if you rush.

The demand for tickets has been reducing season by season since 2005. The 14,000 waiting list was wiped out by the first lot of ticket price rises. Without the demand, people that can't attend matches for work or family reasons, or can't afford the travel can no longer shift their tickets, either on Viagogo or through mates.

Shame. Ive never bought tickets through viagogo but heard they just fleece fans. Do tickets have to be sold for face value? Can ST holders charge less if they want to shift the tickets?

I suppose the club doesnt care since its already been paid. Im not a regular but i am starting to understand their anger.

There's no option to put tickets up for less than face on Viagogo.

I've not opted in and only had Barnsley, which was class.

I'll be pissed off if i dont get another

Trying to find 3 seated together for Villa. No NT3 please...

Cheers,

NC.
