Yes, the interview was altered but its clutching straws saying this guy is lying. The interview is posted above from youtube and translated it has all the important points in.
Altering it that much dramatically changes its impact and its meaning.
The interview as in its original Spanish form makes it clear that he understands it isn't his decision no matter how much he wants it.
Ballague has re-edited and created a false story that Ronaldo will damned near come close to striking to get the move and there's no way he's staying at all.
That's not what Ronaldo says at all.
Ballague shifts things around to change their meaning, strengthen the impact of the Madrid stuff, lessen the impact of the United stuff, and simply edit out some of the United stuff.
Ronaldo is playing a dangerous game, that is for sure.
But there are lies being told and misrepresentations being fobbed off on an anti-Ronaldo English-speaking public who are lapping it up.
