That boy Ronaldo
Will make the Redcafe server bloooooooooooooooooooow

Sounds like you wrote that to convince yourself more than others.

I definately believe we will play better football without him in our team, and as for a talisman somebody will replace him.Its happened time and time again in this club and the future wont be no diffrent.

Terra have every reason to twist the interview that he gave, look at the exposure they have received from it, journos and the paper itself. My money is on him holding out for big money, which is fair, i am sure we are reaping many of the benefits of his/our hard work through shirt sales, commercial deals etc. Ronaldo wants a piece of that pie, fair play it has been largely down to him that we are receiving these windfalls.

Now Ill tell you ronnie was the x factor (a la ruud 2003, actually better) in our pl and cl runs. he scored from eveywhere, even with his crotch. Now ill give him full credit for his freekicks and penalties obviously but what most people fail to see is that most of his other goals where "ruud" goals, most caftards praise and just seem to notice ronaldo's fantastic stats and his 42 goals.

Is that meant to be a bad thing, that he scored Ruud goals?

no but it means that they where just as much the other players effort as his. what im trying to say it that our midfield made it a lot easier for him to score than chelsea do for drogba, liverpool for torres, arsenal for adebayor. the service provided to him is second to none.

Also I i said that his open play goals most of the time they where abotu being at the right place at the right time to receive the killer pass, just like ruud. unlike strikers like henry, torres (in atletico) that half of the time have to create chances mostly on their own. No in no way am I saying the frenchy and the spaniard are better than him

I don't need to convince myself of anything. I already know he will leave someday, I dealt with that 2 seasons ago. We well do great with or without him, it will take time to adapt though.

Now by playing better football, I dont know depends who we buy. I just hope its someone that can handle pressure better than him, and retain more ball possession. it be nice to see a classic number 10 ala baggio, zidane, kaka in united.

yeah yeah if it wasnt for united he wouldnt be half the player he is. SAF and co. developed him into the player he is. He signed a contract last year he shouldnt ask for an improvement so early. Its not like he wasnt our most famous player outside england before he signed a new deal last season.

When has he ever denied that sometime he would like to go to Madrid? he hasn't, so no news there! This latest bollocks, albeit finger in the air, has a grain of sense, that being that if we can do the deal i.e. loads of money, he's happy to go now. If no deal, he's equally happy to see his contract out and move then and we've told Madrid, no deal. He's not a complete cnut. The problem is Madrid/Calderon who are trying to put pressure on Ronaldo to ask, himself, and therefore lower the price. They aint got the money and the prospect is making a lot of Madrid unhappy with Calderon. We're very right to be threatening Calderon. That's where the trouble lies, nowhere else. In the meantime all Ronaldo's saying, in his limited way, is he wouldn't mind going but he's equally happy to stay.

I don't see any problem at all. Madrid aint got the money, end ex.

Nothing happens, people post rehased crap, everyone explodes again, then someone makes a joke and alls well.

He'll stay 100% certain. Fact!

Well maybe 99%..

I would not debate that, but, it has been down to his hard work n determination and Ferguson's guidance not simply Fergusons guidance. Who knows how he would have turned out at Milan, Arsenal, Juve, Madrid or Barcelona?

You cannot talk of greed nowadays, they all see green, Ronaldo is no different. If somebody was saying that they will pay you 300k per week when you were on 130k in your current job then there is no way that you would not consider it or attempt to gain from the situation with your current employers. This is business my friend, he is playing hardball, we as a club play hardball, so as a fan you cannot sit there and kindly ask him to placate your highly strung emotions about footballers and loyalties.

i just fear that if he wants to leave, united will sell him for some crazy money like 40 mill. or something , way less than we expect.

I personally don't want to see ronaldo in a utd shirt again! He,s a big girl a times and if he,s not loyal to our club, then let's get rid of him to the most hated team in the world, or let him rot on the bench. If he doesn't want to be a legend at OT, then he can just piss off.

but for right price
at least 80+ mill euros

On the flip side of that he has been awesome for us, has acheived everything he can in the English game and probably wants a new challenge and to fullfil his dream of playing in Spain.

I doubt that true. That means he would get payed twice as much as their most payed player which is Casillas (future cappy and long time saver of madrid's arse in games) if I'm not wrong.

That would unsettle a lot of players especially long timers and proven players. Robinho is already complaining about his measly wages and I doubt Real would want an unsettled squad after it took them 4 years to get back to square one.

I doubt Real would pay him more than 180k a week. Most of any deal offered and discussed will inlcude alot of image rights sharing, etc. Anyways any offer madrid make united can match or better and vice versa. its down to where he really wants to be.

feckin hell guys dont believe everything coming from the media.
As long as there is no interview with him in which he says he wants to leave I wont believe it.

And if so, I could live with Real's latest offer: Sergio Ramos, Robinho and who else was there?:lol: feckin hilarious if you ask me.

What on earth can you get for 300k a week that you can't get with 130k??
I dont get that.... Of course they are greedy bastards.... feckin hell even 130k is too much.

If the boy has got any sense, surely this will be a consideration to him: if Real spunk all this money on him, are they going to have money left to strengthen elsewhere in the team? They're shit. They may have won La Liga twice in a row, but they're a poor side, and look light years away from success in Europe. Its going to take more than Ronaldo to win them the CL.

From a footballing point of view, it would be the most ridiculous move.

Really? Are you sure we couldn't accomodate Casillas? Or Ramos? Or Robinho?

I'm sure we could find room for them somewhere:devil:

Casillas- is great. but are you gonna sit VDS on the bench and sell Foster (PIG has signed an new contract), or do we let VDS go after his CL heroics?? I think Foster is the future No1 for United and England, and so does Fergie.

Ramos- two words. Vida Rio

Robinho- shit cnut

Exactly..

Ronaldo has fecked it up, I don't want to see him play for United again. 80 mio. £ +, and he can feck off to his beloved Spain.. He will never score 42 goals downthere, and never be as big a player as he was in United..
Hope United get Real in the CL next year, then you'll see Ronaldo cry..

They are the most ridiculous club in the world, Zidane was 29 (correct me if i am wrong) and they paid 47 million pounds for him. That makes an 80 million pound Ronaldo deal seem sensible.

He is drawing a better offer from us, i am not disputing that they wont offer 300k, but, if they are...why would he not use it to lever a better contract for himself? Or see if they are willing to actually put up that money?

Madrid are the crazy ones here, they are full of shit, Ronaldo has played his cards perfectly; he will be the best paid footballer in the world come the end of the summer, rightly so.

I wouldnt take it too far mate.
Who says that all that specualtion is true. Of course he is enjoying all that talking about him, if no he would have said he doenst want to leave long time ago.
Come end of the summer we will know more.

Adebayor gets more chances than Ronaldo. You're coming across as if you're trying to play down the rare ability to be in the right place at the right time, especially for a winger. Ronaldo created plenty of chances on his own, and scored plenty of chances from great positional awareness, if Ronaldo wasn't there at the back post putting all these goals in I highly doubt Giggs or Nani would be.
