ALL Ronaldo's future/comments/speculation

The fact is if he is not looking for a new contract then he is toying with us in the media. That is clear for everyone to see.

It's the media that's toying with us. He's just trying to make the biggest decision of his young life. And he's doing it without giving daily updates to the world's media, despite relentless questioning.

Seems fair enough to me.

Freetranslation.com translating:

Mother assures permanence of Ronaldo in the United novel looks even to be arriving to the end. The mother of Cristiano Ronaldo assumed, in statements to the TVI, that the son even is going to continue to the
service of the Manchester United.

"He is well where is. The future to God belongs, but is correctly that he is going to continue in Manchester", explained Dolores Aveiro, in a statement that, in principle, should signify the end of a long period of speculation.

It want this say that the "courtship" of the Real one Madrid, by the less in the immediate one, is not going to lead to "marriage".

Crazy bitch contradicts herself at least twice there

This is really bizarre logic. By signing a long-term contract, thus ensuring the club gets a massive sum if/when he leaves - as opposed to letting his contract run down and doing a Flamini - he is somehow fecking us over? WTF?

Again. WTF? He is clearly mulling something over and he's said almost nothing to the press as a result. The whole "I stay" comments indicate he is very seriously thinking about staying at United. If he is thinking about signing for Real, it's obviously a very difficult decision. Not sure how else he could have handled it really.

He's not a fecking indentured slave. If he wants to leave - for whatever personal reasons he might have - he can leave if he's 20 or 30 years old, whenever he wants. This whole thing about him somehow owing the club is ridiculous. He cost us 12 million quid, if he does leave he will leave us with 10s of millions of pounds profit, 2 PL trophies including a historic double. What more do you want? Blood?

Admit it, you're pissed off that anyone could prefer playing for Real Madrid to playing for MUFC. We all are. Especially when it's an unbeleivably good footballer, with his best years ahead of him. But all this stuff about him somehow behaving "without dignity" is a crock of shit.

I am pissed off about that, I wouldn't hide that fact. I don't agree with his principle. However the reason I'm upset with him is the manner by which he's conducted himself in this saga

You'll have to outline the bizarre logic of my concept that you should sign a contract for the length of time you're willing to play for a club for. If he signed a new contract a year ago, for five years, it's utterly disgraceful one year later he pushes for a move. The club shows its faith in him giving him an improved financial contract, what faith has occured in return?

Ronaldo is of course free to leave at any age - had he not signed a contract with 4 years left on it. Does he owe the club? We've benefitted from his time here too, I'd argue not. But we don't owe him either. Supporters are perfectly entitled to be upset when a top player who we've helped to nuture wants to go off and play for a rival club. Even more so when, and again I stress, he makes this view public and wants it to happen with 4 years left on his contract...

I'd rather he gave the club a clear indication of his plans and his intentions...

He will. He's entitled to a few fecking weeks to think things over though, isn't he?

Seriously, we're all frustrated about the lack of news. But the only way we're being tortured is through our fecking obsession about the whole thing. And this fecking thread :smirk:

Pogue, he doesn't have a decision to make. He has 4 years left on his contract. I entirely respect his decision to consider what club he wants to be at, but he shouldn't have conducted any of that in public. And that means saying he has a decision to make at all, or not guarenteeing where he'll be next season

I wonder what is happening on Fergie's mind.

He knows better than us how to handle this situation and we havent seen any news on the official site also.

I remember after the World cup when i was totally sure that Ronaldo was leaving due to the incident with Rooney and all the British hatred over him that i saw the statement on the official site saying "Ronaldo is not for sale" and i was totally surprised cause the one who was sold was Ruud.

Maybe we'll see the same thing this time ( i mean a statement like that).

And the fact that just about everyday, Marca puts out a story of him going to Madrid. Here's the thing, Ronaldo doesn't have to say anything to us or the media. He could just sick of dealing with the media by now, especially the English media. And since he's not giving anything away, papers have to fill their pages with something, so why not a bit of speculation. Sure, Ronaldo has been a bit ambiguous about the whole thing, but that doesn't mean he wants to go to Madrid.

That's the thing..he hasn't...
In the days leading upto the CL final AND the couple of days after he's given conflicting views!

" I stay" " I don't know about future"
" I stay definitely now" " I don't make promises to even my mom"

It's not the lack of news, it's the two faced nonsense....

When he signed that contract the biggest beneficiaries, financially, where MUFC, by a country mile.

It will have added 10s of millions to his transfer fee. The incremental increase in salary - over the last year - is a drop in the ocean in comparison.

Seriously, you're not making any sense with the whole long-term contract thing. Letting a contract run down before leaving would have been the worst thing he could have done, as far as United is concerned.

If this is on, Sir Alex and Gill have got to make their minds up pretty sharpish.

If we are willing to deal then we should dicate our terms to Madrid and call their bluff, we can't wait till the beginning July for Ronaldo to get round to a decision.

Of course this is all behind the scenes stuff, and i trust those two to know how to handle the matter, as reluctant and bitter as they may be about it.

About time we took the lead here, enough of the tail wagging the dog so to speak.
Fergie's in France building sand castles

He mostly posts "So, he is staying then? Great!" or "So, he is leaving then?"

So, it is clearly :wenger:

Like I said. He's either torn or (very likely) meant exactly what he said when he said "I stay", cause I ain't seen any tv interview of him saying "I go"

Bloody hell..
I know Bahama Red is one of the more senior members..
But 195 years old?!

This thread is a perfect example of how Ronaldo has outgrown the club, in much the same way previous players did, and were moved on.
It proved the rightt decision.

(I'll get slated for that!)

I agree entirely.

I don't think Ron was ready to move. He might have had in the back of his mind, "in a couple of years" or "when SAF leaves," but Madrid have tried to force a decision out of him earlier than Ron intended.

His mum and godfather have both given interviews saying Madrid was always their favourite club. Chances are he would have been influenced by that as a lad.

Well then he has every right to want to move there.

Real Madrid are the chief culprits for everything wrong with the (potential) Ronaldo transfer.

If he does leave then that's fine with me, I won't hold any grudge against him. But the way things were conducted is definitely a reason behind people getting annoyed at Ronaldo, even though really it is the media's fault and Real Madrid's fault for tapping him up.

The fact remains, we are defending him/attacking him without having any real insight into what is going on.

In all honesty, the only person's opinion I actually use as a reference in this whole Saga is SAF's, and he seems fairly sure that Ronaldo will be here next season.

I don't really care whether he stays or leaves. Or do I?
Of course I do but I'm afraid its never going to be the same if he stays. And if its only for a year he can go now.

The same Mardid that siad "We do not want Ronaldinho, he is ugly" What idiots?

Surely, they wont be saying that to Ronaldo; they must be all wanking over this latest speculation. FFS, they never learn do they.

So now we're allowed to post our posts again just cause they've gone to a previous page cause of the speed of everyone's posting?

So you guys really believe he is staying? I dont think so and now i honestly believe the club should cash in on him while his value is skyhigh.

I dont mind if he wants more cash and not sure united will give him what real are saying they are offering.
He is not staying here all of his career so might aswell cash in on him now.
He's been brilliant but time to move on.

There's only one good solution to all this madness... Ronaldo should have a horrible euro tournament and quarsema should ecllipse him firing on all cyclinders. Real will immediately drop thier interest in him and start chasing quarsema, and finally the saga ends with ronaldo realising madrid for the small time cnuts they are and goes on a vengeful mission next season to prove them wrong!

Alternatively if he comes out saying 'he want to go to madrid' burn the cnut!

That's not true, if you bother reading the posts. And that was a recent joke.
Your posts seem to attack those of us on here who are posting regularly. Don't like your tone so I'm going to dismember you.

So he's staying then?

Agreed mate.
I would'nt be dissapointed to see him go.

So.

To sum up.

Ronaldo - "I stay"
Ronaldo's mum - "He stay"
Calderon - "We're not buying him"
Gill - "We're not selling him"
Caftards - "Waaaaaaaaah! He's a cnut!"

Have I missed anything out?
Great post, actually.
