ALL Ronaldo's future/comments/speculation

The whole article ignores the fact that Real played their cards almost to perfection. They knew that Ronnie would love to play for them one day, and they pulled out almost all the stops to make it happen - including roping in support from the FIFA President.

I'm not saying Ronaldo couldn't have handled it better, but given all the circumstances surrounding this, it's easy to see how he might have been swayed. He's not a United fan, and has never pretended to be. He's a bloody talented footballer who loves to played football, and loves to win. So long as he is doing it for us, he'll get my support.

you forget, its written by Curtis voice of the supporter :wenger:

Sounds like he's angry and bitter that Ronaldo is staying.

So Ronnie fecked up this summer, but its all sorted now.

I'm interested in whether Ronnie knew that Madrid had not made any offer for him, or whether he was just beliving the lies in the spanish press about Madrid offering 60/70/80/90/100 million.

Well according to his Publico interview, he genuinely believed the mega offers they had made for him one after the other, which was mainly the reason for him staying quiet during the whole saga.

No, the general consensus is that Ronaldo is a cnut and that he has been forced to climb down from his self elevated pedestal and that this has become common knowledge across the globe.

did not expect you to say that tbh:smirk:

Didn't The Sun print pics of Ronnies house after the WC, knowing the ingerlanders would know which house to bottle?

Can Sir Alex ban reporters from Press Conferences?

Of course! Gallas is a hero. A legend. An upstanding and inspirational captain.

Whereas a certain United player is a slimeball. A cnut.

You're not really a United fan at all are you Sam?

You're a WUM.

You're a closet Gooner or Rentie really.

Admit it.

(Or are you just too arrogant and bitter to retract from a defeated position?)

or perhaps he is just stupid

Thats the feeling I got...i strongly doubt whether he would have stayed quiet if he knew Madrid were just full of shit

same here, unfortunately those cnuts at Madrid played their cards very well without ever making an actual offer. They were expecting Ronaldo to put in a transfer request, something which he didn't do because he didn't want to be sold against the club's wish.

here here, some sense at last!

He is already a legend at United, so the last dig was uncalled for.

I dont understand how you can criticize a player who has provided us so much joy (in terms of his play, his goals, the titles he's helped us win).

Oh how dare he decide to leave united, NO ONE DOES THAT, NO ONE!!!

ffs, Ronaldo knew everything and he was a part of the drama. The last interview is to cool down the fans(Kids and the muppets from canada), nothing more. That is the reason Fergie came out and said Ronaldo was lured by money.

You're missing the point entirely

Not at all.
'
What makes you say that?

Well, I'm not gonna make you chance your stance so there's no point trying. I've just noticed that you're completely unwilling to explore the shades of grey in this and most other issues to do with United.

You don't seem prepared to accept that players like Ruud and Ronaldo might have personal desires and ambitions which are just as valid and relevant to their career choices as the love they obviously have/had for the club they are/were playing for (the club you happen to support). And that both players will only have considered leavin g United after giving it a lot of thought.

As I said before, I'm slightly envious of the incredibly black and white way you view these things. Best way to avoid having any conflicting emotions.

Ho hum. Each to his own.

Would you criticise your bird who has given you so much pleasure, if she wanted to leave you?

However, yet, again, the main problem wasn't that he wants to leave United, but the way he went about it.

There's obviously shades of grey in most cases, in this one included.

That doesn't stop Ronaldo being a cnut though.

To be honest I never imagined expecting myself to say that, but it has to be said. He has ruined a magnificent summer for me, this was meant to be the mother of all summers as far as footie banter with those around me was concerned. His actions have ruined my summer and I am not going to forgive any time soon.

He is spot on with this

Of course. Stick him in the stand. Great sense there.

These remarks of yours are disloyal to SAF, by presuming to know his thoughts or by agreeing with some slimeball from the Daily Vomit that he would act in a totally illogical way. Either SAF values him - yes VALUES him as a player, ot he wants him out. 'Privately he'd put him in the sand' means he's acting under someone else's orders.

There is so much in that article which is subtly aimed at undermining SAF and you are agreeing with it.

Shame on you.

On balance, I'm inclined to think Ronaldo is a cnut, yes.

But Cuntis' article doesn't come close to being balanced. It's just a tedious little man, trying to potray himself as the voice of the people. Some of his points are fair (albeit fecking obvious) but overall it's a badly written, biased hatchet job. Which is typical of the rag he writes for.

dipperboy from India, nobody is condoing Ronaldo's actions during the saga, he's admited to being naive and responsible for this whole mess, but some muppets like yourself seem to know everything about this whole situation, so tell us about that consiracy between Blatter and Ronaldo that you were so sure about, go on.

So people are unhappy about the way he went about the whole transfer saga.

Did he criticize the club? NO
Did he criticize the fans? NO
Did he criticize the manager? NO
Did he criticize the posters of Redcafe? NO

What did he do wrong?
He stated his desire to join madrid, saying he's won everything there is to won at Manchester United - oh my god, no way, how dare he say that, how dare he show some ambition, how dare he try to win silverware at another club

what else did he do wrong?
He took waay to much time over this whole thing - again who cares?

He let it rumble on for two months.

The cnut that he is.

Now go buy your latest Ronaldo 7 replica shirt.

Pogue's right - you are black and white!

'Minstrelboy' should be your new u/n

I did not see the last line, but frankly I would have to agree with him. SAF does what is best for the club. He kept Keano despite having rows with him. He kept Ruud against his will. He decided to keep Ronaldo because it is the bet option for the club. I'm not talking about the short term advantages like Ronaldo winning us a few more trophies. He did not want to bend over to the pressure from the cnut and Madrid. He wants to show them that we are as big a club and do whatever we want.

I am not saying it is balances, it isn't.

I am saying he's written what most United supporters think.

I would give most United supporters more credit than that.

At one extreme, you've obviously got the CR7 fan-boys (who think he's a "legend" who's done no wrong) at the other extreme, you've got people who would agree with every word that Custis has written.

I would like to think that the majority are thoughtful enough to be somewhere in the middle.

I think if you asked the fans at the match Vs Newcastle, that the vaste majority would say Ronaldo is a cnut, and has behaved disgracefully over the summer.
