CALDERON REVEALS RONALDO SWITCH IMMINENT

Réal Madrid President Ramon Calderon has revealed in a conversation with Formula 1 Ace Juan Pablo Montoya that he expects a deal to be thrashed out this weekend.

In what was intended to be a private conversation, the SUN can EXCLUSIVELY REVEAL that a nearby mechanic overheard the entire conversation.

Calderón told the racing superstar "He is the kind of player all teams want, but until the player says he is unhappy, nothing is in our hands.".

However, he went on to explain that he expects a deal to be tied up by July 27th.

Portuguese winker Ronaldo has incurred the wrath of United fans since his revelation that he wants to leave the club.

Ronaldo still keen on move - Pepe
Portugal defender Pepe believes compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo is eager to leave Manchester United and join him at Real Madrid.

Pepe, who is in pre-season training in Irdning with the Spanish champions, is confident the Manchester United winger would adapt well to the Primera Liga.

Ronaldo is Madrids main transfer target this summer, but is under contract with the Red Devils who are unwilling to see the 23-year-old leave Old Trafford.

"I have spoken to him (Ronaldo)," said Pepe. "I believe he would get a good welcome as I did last year from the technical team and from all the players.

"He would not have a problem, that is certain.

"He is looking forward to coming here and he has said it many times. He likes Madrid and knows the greatness of this club."

f*ck off Pepe, we have already decided he will stay.

To be fair, the article you posted, whoever wrote that article twisted his words. He didn't say Ronaldo was looking forward to coming here and has said so many times, he said Ronaldo has said he likes Madrid . Stupid media can't even be consistent
However, I do agree that Pepe should shut the feck up. This reminds me of the Kaka saga last summer. When it looked like there was no way Kaka would leave and Calderon had failed to land yet another target, Robinho apparently said Kaka told him he wanted to join him at Madrid.

ronaldo is working on the look

Of course! And it's obvious with all the technology these days, slaves wouldn't need chains. Instead, they wear a boot on a foot with a GPS tracking device, and to which the football club can send a shock if the player gets out of line.

He slaves on the left,
He slaves on the riiiight,
That slave Ronaldo,
Will not leave our sight!

Madrid Extend Ronaldo Time Limit

Real Madird have set yet another time limit on their prolonged quest to try and prise Cristiano Ronaldo and are believed to be ready to give up on August 8.

Los Merengues believe that the Portuguese star's return to Manchester next week will finally produce a decision one or the other as he is due to have talks with United.

AS believe that Madrid have a private agreement over personal terms with Ronaldo and now they must wait and see if the player will force his way out of Old Trafford.

The saga continued throughout the summer with the Spanish giants' quest upsetting their Premier League peers and the whole plan could still end with the player staying in England.66

Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, is said to still be in regular contact with Madrid, but he will not state either way what wil be decided until United have had there say.

Having set an original deadline of July 7, that was then extended to July 17 and now things are being extended into August with an outcome not looking any closer.

Sir Alex Ferguson returned from a meeting with the former Sporting star in Portugal and said he was confident that there would be no transfer while United's owners, the Glazer family, do not want to sell.

In Spain, Madrid president Ramón Calderón appears to have put all his hopes of recovering from failing to land either Kaká or Cesc Fàbregas on signing Ronaldo.

The media are slowly ensuring that other players are brought into the equasion in case nothing happens with Rafael Van der Vaart and now David Villa being linked to a move to the Bernabéu.

Meanwhile Spanish sports daily Marca claims today that the player is growing "nervous" over the delay in bringing him to the Spanish capital.

Acording to the pro-Madrid paper it remains the player's "dream" to move to Madrid (as he declared after Portugal's Euro 2008 elimination) and he is growing impatient.

Allegedly there is even a small amount of fear on his part that it may not come to pass at all.

Oh and another thing. Will the entire Real Madrid team please shut up!? They seem to be lining up one by one to add more fuel to this speculation. The media are clearly trying to make it happen.

Unfortunately that is not going to happen. Seems to be part of Real Madrid's strategy to keep the issue front and centre. I suspect practically every member of Real Madrid's team will be quoted before the season starts.

When they get down to the tea lady or the sangria lady, we will know that they are running out of options.

Sir Alex also insisted recent comments attributed to Carlos Tevez on the future of Cristiano Ronaldo were untrue.

Tevez was quoted as saying he believed Ronaldo should be allowed to leave Old Trafford if that’s what he desires. But the United manager refuted Tevez had issued the quotes.

“Carlos Tevez did not say that,” he said.

“At this moment in time we’re driven by a mad media who have to get stories out every day.

what a surprise :) Bet he never made the I wouldn't mind playing in Spain one day comments either

Just another example of what type of trusted sources Marca and AS and the rest of the rags are. First speculate to make up stories, then when there are quotes, twist them and take them out of context to make them mean something entirely different, and of course regularly simply make up quotes to make the stories look somewhat credible. And why not, as this thread alone is evidence of how people react to any thing regardless of how bad the source and the acticle stink of shit.
