and it contradict fergie talks he will stay with us.
He wants to play for Real.
got it from another forum.
Interviewer: How have you handled the attention surrounding your possible departure from Manchester United?
Cristiano Ronaldo: I am of the opinion that all great players are always coveted by the big clubs. Not just me, but all great players. It's just a normal situation. Not just for me, but for other players on the market, who are also good, and other teams want them. So it's a normal situation. It's not just this year, but for a long time other clubs have wanted me, so i just see it as a normal situation.
I: So you do feel coveted by other teams?
CR: Not just this year, it's always been this way, so it's just normal, but we'll see what happens.
I: What does Cristiano Ronaldo want for the next season? Do you want to stay with Man Utd?
CR: I just want to be happy, where ever I play
I: Where could you be happy?
CR: Anywhere. It depends on me. If I am with people I like, if I am excited, confident, motivated, anywhere would be fine.
I: Is there some motivation for you to stay with Man Utd?
CR: There is always motivation, regardless of where I play. I always have it, because I'm an ambitious player, and I always want to improve. So, I don't know the future, but where ever I play, I will always be motivated.
I: Are you nervous about your future?
CR: No. NORMAL
I: What is "normal" for you right now?
CR: What's normal right now? Taking time off. Rest my mind, my body. Make a good recovery. The future is God's business, not mine.
I: Do you read the press?
CR: Sometimes, when I have a chance
I: But you are not always looking at what they say about you?
CR: No, there are people who say good things, and there are people who say bad things. I'm comfortable with myself, so I'm always good
I: But doesn't that serve as experience for you, whether to return to Man Utd or not, with what is said about you?
CR: Man, fourty questions about Man Utd. What do you want me to say?? That I'm staying? That I'm leaving? I don't know the future, only God does. That's all I can tell you.
I: Thank you very much
CR: Thank you

No, because there was no square one in the first place. United do not want to sell him, and he wants more money. That's all there is about it.

Basically, I'll go if United agree to sell me. If he wanted to stay he wouldn't be as ambiguous.
And you'd think he's just after say. . .an extra 20K?
I agree, I don't want to question the great man but common sense suggests we should sell him but Ferguson's a stubborn old mule. He must have some sort of plan that none of us are aware of.

He doesn't want his best player to go. I do think Fergie's set his stall out. And he's not one to back down. So, Ronaldo will play where Fergie wants him to.
When i heard his name,i was sure there was bs news attached to it..
He's after renegotiating his contract. He's a cocky little shit, I'll give you that, and he does actually see himself as being the best player in the world. Now, for that he wants recompense, and when another club like Real Madrid also want him, then he has the bargining terms. In his mind however, he knows that he could win another 2 or 3 European Cups if he stays where he is. He's not daft.
I reckon that he's after 200K per week. What type of hell that will cause is a different matter.
Saf says he's staying end of story. But i suppose there will always be journalists and some fans trying to create new angles where there isn't any.
Yup. It also seems that he doesn't want out that badly. And seems comfortable to stay at United which is good for us since he is staying.
He's definitely off next season, unless something dramatic happens. One of which could be a riduculous new contract offer.

Exactly. FFS we have worked a lot to build this team and this team is fecking good to keep winning things and surpass the 18 League titles and even dominate in Europe.
Fergie wont throw all his hard work away for a simple pathetic desire or unsettlement of a player.
CR: Man, fourty questions about Man Utd. What do you want me to say?? That I'm staying? That I'm leaving?
So we're basing our stance on quotes from his own mouth on film, what are you basing your stance on?
Exactly. That's what all this is about.Interviewer should have said 'yes', just about here.
Just an observation.
From what I just saw and heard, one of the few actual video interviews with him.
Which interview would this be then Weaste, the one where he's supposedly said he doesn't want to leave United, that infact all he wants is a pay rise?
I can't recall seeing said interview it has to be said.
He had the perfect opportunity to say that he would be playing for United this season. It's the first interview after the Fergie meeting.
Why didn't he say that? He obviously still believes that he could be playing for Real this season. In his mind it is still a possibility.
Because there's the remote possibility that we care about what happens in the United camp. Why are you all bothered in any case? This is what gets me.
Because there's the remote possibility that we care about what happens in the United camp.
Ah, so he no longer has a dream to play for Madrid? Glad we got rid of that misconception then.Because he still hasn't had his pay rise?
You can tell far more from watching someone speak than you can from any textual transcript. Sorry, but you can, and watching that to me says that he's is not desperate for any move at all.
Ah, so he no longer has a dream to play for Madrid? Glad we got rid of that misconception then.
So we should all just listen to Weastie and ignore everything else. OK. I'll just check back later to see what's happening in Weastie's head. Apparantly that's all we need to be bothered about. He's after a pay rise far far more than a move to Real Madrid (this is not what he wants) right now, that's quite clear. If you and others cannot see that, then it's your own problem, type away.
Ah, so he no longer has a dream to play for Madrid? Glad we got rid of that misconception then.
Right, I think I am beginning to get you here Weaste, what you are saying is that you are basing your arguement on Ronaldo's body language or something other, rather than actual spoken words from Ronaldo himself?
I see
