got it from another forum.

Interviewer: How have you handled the attention surrounding your possible departure from Manchester United?

Cristiano Ronaldo: I am of the opinion that all great players are always coveted by the big clubs. Not just me, but all great players. It's just a normal situation. Not just for me, but for other players on the market, who are also good, and other teams want them. So it's a normal situation. It's not just this year, but for a long time other clubs have wanted me, so i just see it as a normal situation.

I: So you do feel coveted by other teams?

CR: Not just this year, it's always been this way, so it's just normal, but we'll see what happens.

I: What does Cristiano Ronaldo want for the next season? Do you want to stay with Man Utd?

CR: I just want to be happy, where ever I play

I: Where could you be happy?

CR: Anywhere. It depends on me. If I am with people I like, if I am excited, confident, motivated, anywhere would be fine.

I: Is there some motivation for you to stay with Man Utd?

CR: There is always motivation, regardless of where I play. I always have it, because I'm an ambitious player, and I always want to improve. So, I don't know the future, but where ever I play, I will always be motivated.

I: Are you nervous about your future?

CR: No. NORMAL

I: What is "normal" for you right now?

CR: What's normal right now? Taking time off. Rest my mind, my body. Make a good recovery. The future is God's business, not mine.

I: Do you read the press?

CR: Sometimes, when I have a chance

I: But you are not always looking at what they say about you?

CR: No, there are people who say good things, and there are people who say bad things. I'm comfortable with myself, so I'm always good

I: But doesn't that serve as experience for you, whether to return to Man Utd or not, with what is said about you?

CR: Man, fourty questions about Man Utd. What do you want me to say?? That I'm staying? That I'm leaving? I don't know the future, only God does. That's all I can tell you.

I: Thank you very much

CR: Thank you

So basically...'I don't know the future, only God does' sums it up nicely.

Translation please

new interview

Hahahaha. The lad is fecking tired of this Madrid talk and doubts about his future.

He says "this isnt the first time he has been wanted by big clubs". He says "its always been like that, you think this is the first time NOO, its always like this".

Interviewer "Where do you want to be next season"

Ron "i want to be where i feel happy"

Interviewer "Do you have motivations to still be at Utd next season"

Ron "off course i have, the players are always motivated to win things"

Interviewer "What do you want for your future"

Ron " i want to rest, be happy while having it, enjoy my break basically"

The classic phrase the future nobody knows cause anything can happen but nothing about Madrid.

Basically, I'll go if United agree to sell me. If he wanted to stay he wouldn't be as ambiguous.

No, because there was no square one in the first place. United do not want to sell him, and he wants more money. That's all there is about it.

I would agree, but in the same stance now as just before he left for the Euro's [only god knows the future] , of which i would call square one, if this whole bollock saga.

He's definately staying, theres no doubt about that now. Will just be interesting to see his attitude and the reception he gets when he returns back to OT.

I hope he won't get booed, but he certainly won't be recieving the same amount of warmth from the fans.

And you'd think he's just after say. . .an extra 20K? I used to think that, but I doubt it's the issue. Otherwise, Fergie would've made sure he got a pay rise. Thing is, Fergie's unsackable and still has clout at the club. . .he'd side with his best player. He's always done that.

Basically, I'll go if United agree to sell me. If he wanted to stay he wouldn't be as ambiguous.

He's after renegotiating his contract. He's a cocky little shit, I'll give you that, and he does actually see himself as being the best player in the world. Now, for that he wants recompense, and when another club like Real Madrid also want him, then he has the bargining terms. In his mind however, he knows that he could win another 2 or 3 European Cups if he stays where he is. He's not daft.

I agree, I don't want to question the great man but common sense suggests we should sell him but Ferguson's a stubborn old mule. He must have some sort of plan that none of us are aware of.

He doesn't want his best player to go. I do think Fergie's set his stall out. And he's not one to back down. So, Ronaldo will play where Fergie wants him to.

Basically, I'll go if United agree to sell me. If he wanted to stay he wouldn't be as ambiguous.

Yup. It also seems that he doesn't want out that badly. And seems comfortable to stay at United which is good for us since he is staying.

He's definitely off next season, unless something dramatic happens. One of which could be a riduculous new contract offer.

No, because there was no square one in the first place. United do not want to sell him, and he wants more money. That's all there is about it.

So we're basing our stance on quotes from his own mouth on film, what are you basing your stance on?

He doesn't want his best player to go. I do think Fergie's set his stall out. And he's not one to back down. So, Ronaldo will play where Fergie wants him to.

Exactly. FFS we have worked a lot to build this team and this team is fecking good to keep winning things and surpass the 18 League titles and even dominate in Europe.

Fergie wont throw all his hard work away for a simple pathetic desire or unsettlement of a player.

When i heard his name,i was sure there was bs news attached to it..

Saf says he's staying end of story. But i suppose there will always be journalists and some fans trying to create new angles where there isn't any.

He is daft, though. I don't see the point of him burning his bridges with everyone connected to Manchester United for extra cash. That's just silly. Why spoil a good thing? nah, I don't think it's for a pay rise. . . okay, let's say it is. . .that'd screw up the pay structure at United. It's the principle reason why the players at Real don't want him in Madrid.

I reckon that he's after 200K per week. What type of hell that will cause is a different matter.

He's on 140K, apparently.

Saf says he's staying end of story. But i suppose there will always be journalists and some fans trying to create new angles where there isn't any.

no end to the stories I am afraid. the main person ronaldo refuse to say he wants to stay with us.

Can be the case. Maybe a improvement in his contract after next season.

What i saw in the interview is he isnt desperate for a move and he is ok about staying. Its clearly somebody in the summer told him stupid things probably about this been an opportunity of a once in a lifetime move or maybe the madrid cnuts told him he would get a bigger contract there which is bullshit.

He could hand in a transfer request, but that'll stop him getting a signing on fee.

Fergie wont throw all his hard work away for a simple pathetic desire or unsettlement of a player.

Exactly. The other reason is that he doesn't want to be bullied by anyone. . .and backing down will be seen as a sign of weakness.

Only Fergie can bully people ;)

the lying cnut he said he decide his future immediately after Euro 2008

So we carry on. Still no "I stay". Was it so hard to say that he will be playing for United this season. What does the "future" and God have to do with that? Is there still doubt about where he will play? Obviously there is.
And why didn't the damn reporter ask him straight out if he will be playing for United this season? Why the fkn mystery?
I STAY
He's said it before so I know he can say it

All this ambiguity is the reason this thread is so long. And by the looks of it, will get longer. Who knows what the future holds for this thread. Only God.

Just chill.

It's makes me laugh though. A guy so desperate to go to Madrid but you wouldn't think it because he doesn't talk like someone that thinks about it a lot.

If he wanted to he could have lied. His parents were madrid fans (certainly his mother not sure about his dad) but credit to him, he never used that as an excuse to want to move to them. He could have easily and that might have made this so called desire more 'understandable'

He never talks about the history or the glamor or says how can I refuse? He's not put in a transfer request and yes he'd lose a little money, but money is the least of his worries. he will make a mint anyway

At the moment, he'll be at United for two years (I reckon) - especially if we do something in Europe again.

No one knows the future, it's true but you know he got that saying from his mother. So yeah he's dragging it on, but if we keep our stance (and we will) it'll be fine..oh and he's loving the attention which could be one reason why he won't say I stay

From what I just saw and heard, one of the few actual video interviews with him.

Which interview would this be then Weaste, the one where he's supposedly said he doesn't want to leave United, that infact all he wants is a pay rise?

I can't recall seeing said interview it has to be said.

You can tell far more from watching someone speak than you can from any textual transcript. Sorry, but you can, and watching that to me says that he's is not desperate for any move at all.

He had the perfect opportunity to say that he would be playing for United this season. It's the first interview after the Fergie meeting.
Why didn't he say that? He obviously still believes that he could be playing for Real this season. In his mind it is still a possibility.

Right, I think I am beginning to get you here Weaste, what you are saying is that you are basing your arguement on Ronaldo's body language or something other, rather than actual spoken words from Ronaldo himself?

I see

He's after a pay rise far far more than a move to Real Madrid (this is not what he wants) right now, that's quite clear. If you and others cannot see that, then it's your own problem, type away.
So we should all just listen to Weastie and ignore everything else. OK. I'll just check back later to see what's happening in Weastie's head. Apparantly that's all we need to be bothered about.
Need to start a new thread....."all Weastie's views on the Ronaldo affair".

I'm not the one going to look like a total turd when the transfer window has closed and he's banging the goals in again and people come fishing for retarded comments. ;)
