ALL Ronaldo's future/comments/speculation

I've not the time to read through this massive thread, so maybe this has been said already.

Ronaldo is a great player, however his siding with Blatter's comments has shown a great lack of maturity and I won't miss him.
Actually I don't want the player anymore, I don't care how good he is.
It's about the team, the love of the fans, the tradition.
He signed a contract(120K week or whatever it is), an agreement, and his behaviour is that of a spoilt child frankly.
Blatter is a politician only, and not worthy of response.

For reasons I can't explain the odds across the board for Ronaldo to stay are relatively rapicly lengthening with the obvious shortening for him to go. There's no logic for this at all. I might be wrong but as far as I'm concerned Real are backing off and United are holding firm. I just can't see him going now.

Marca: United Agree To Sell Ronaldo

Marca, Real Madrid's main weapon in their quest for more great players to be turned into mediocre has-beens, have declared that Manchester United are ready to sell Ronaldo.

According to one of the least impartial and least accurate newspapers of the world, the Glazers fear that the Portuguese's value will decrease if he's kept at Old Trafford for another season, during which he probably won't be able to repeat the heights of 2007/08.

Though Ronaldo is reportedly not welcome in the Bernabeu dressing room - Wesley Sneijder and Fabio Cannavaro have spoken out on the matter - he is still keen on the move as are Real and especially Ramon Calderon who stands no chance of a re-election as president if he fails in his quest to take Ronaldo to Madrid.

The quoted price, Ł67.5M is an amount which I believe we should accept at once. Never again shall we receive such a fee for any player and certainly not for Ronaldo. However, I'm afraid that Los Merengues do not wish to pay this kind of money: Calderon has already revealed that they are in only if the player is available at a reasonable price.

Still, as I said, Calderon is under pressure to deliver therefore if United and the Glazers are strong enough during the negotiations, then we can pull of the transfer coup of the century - as Calderon himself had said earlier.

you have to laugh really

Cristiano Ronaldo will 'be here soon', says Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon

The drawn-out saga of Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to Real Madrid has had a destabilising effect on the San Siro dressing room.

With no further indication as to whether Ronaldo will become a Real player before the start of the new season, one team member has taken it upon themselves to find out the latest development by going straight to the top.

Unrest: Ronaldo's will-he won't-he join Real is a cause for concern

According to Spanish sports daily AS, an unnamed player jokingly asked Real president Ramon Calderon when Ronaldo would be joining the club to be greeted with a smile and a "Don't worry, he'll be here soon" reply.

Wesley Sneijder has already aired his concerns at Real's determination to acquire the 23-year-old this summer. The Real midfielder has questioned the wisdom of signing Ronaldo because of the effect his wages would have on the squad

While separating himself from any financial envy, Sneijder believes that some members of the Spanish champions' squad would not be happy earning less than the Portuguese star.

"The truth is that could happen a bit. It would be bad for the squad if one player had a much higher salary than the rest," he said.

"It would not matter to me, but I know that there are other players that would not like that. But I do not want to say much because every day there is different news."

It has been claimed that Ronaldo could earn £200,000-a-week by joining Real who will also break the world record transfer to persuade the Glazers to finally part with last season's top goalscorer.

On paper, Real may be one of the world's richest clubs but earlier this year they were forced to take out a £30 million loan to cover operating costs and to compensate for the estimated £30m loss in annual revenue of David Beckham's move to Los Angeles Galaxy last summer.

Spanish newspaper Marca, however, believe Real will now take out another loan, this time in the region of €70m to fund their bid. Their thinking being that Ronaldo's arrival will recoup their losses in merchandising and promotional deals.

United continue to insist that Ronaldo is not for sale even though Dimitar Berbatov is most likely to become the Portuguese international's replacement as he nears a £28m move to Old Trafford.

Barcelona are reportedly ready to scupper United's bid to bring in the Spurs striker with a €30m bid as their negotiations with Arsenal over Emmanuel Adebayor look to have broken down.

Real's rivals have cash at their disposal following the £19.8m departure of Ronaldinho to AC Milan.

Sneijder called Ronaldo a big money bottler, apparently  He doesn't want him anywhere near Madrid

I seen the headlines on SSN before i left out for work this morning. Not sure if it's true or not.

Ramon Calderon remains confident that Cristiano Ronaldo will eventually sign for Real Madrid and joked with the players that the Portuguese star would be with them soon. Let's just hope Wesley Sneijder sees the funny side.

Nice reporting there. Jesus, the Telegraph has gone to shit.

Nothing can be as bad as what I read the other day in one of the papers or online websites (can't remember which)

It was about Ronaldinho going to Milan

'Real Madrid will surely be annoyed that Ronaldinho did not join Manchester City as they were offering more and would have therefore had more money to spend on Ronaldo'

something a long those lines

Bullshit rising

Glazers deny Ronaldo claims

Stuart Mathieson
17/ 7/2008

UNITED owners the Glazers have rejected claims from Spain that they have relented in the Cristiano Ronaldo affair and agreed to do business.

Spanish newspaper Marca has driven the Ronaldo story from the outset and has again been in mischievous mode insisting that sources close to the Reds' American owners had said they "have agreed to the operation" and discussions could begin with Real Madrid.

However, a spokesman for the Glazers told M.E.N. Sport: "It is absolute nonsense. The family completely maintain their original stance and that is that Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale.

"There have been no developments as far as we are concerned. There has been absolutely nothing said from this end."

Meanwhile, the Bernabeu dressing room is distinctly cool on the possibility that the 23-year-old United star could be among their number this season.

Dutch international Wesley Sneijder said the reported wages Ronaldo could be on if he moves to La Liga would cause trouble in the Real ranks.

"It would be bad for the dressing room because he would earn better wages than the rest of the squad," said Sneijder. "It wouldn't be a problem to me but some team-mates wouldn't fancy it. Here we have players like him, Arjen Robben and Robinho for example.

"For sure I want to play with Cristiano but the dressing room's harmony has to be maintained," Sneijder added.

"For me, this Madrid side do not need new signings," said Sneijder.

"In the last few matches last year we were very solid and the team have grown a lot."

REDS striker Dong Fangzhuo has been named in China's Under-23 squad for next month's Olympic Games in Beijing. Dong missed the last three months of last season with a knee injury but is fully fit again and scored in China's 4-0 victory over Malaysia last weekend.

Glazers ‘would sell Ronaldo’

Manchester United jetted off to South Africa yesterday for their pre-season tour with the endless saga of Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Real Madrid still dominating them. A report in the Spanish sports newspaper Marca claimed the Glazer Family, who own Utd, “had sanctioned the opening of negotiations over Ronaldo's €85m (£68m) transfer on the grounds that his value could only decrease. While it is true that Ronaldo's value will never be higher than it is this summer, a spokesman for the Glazer family described the report as ‘complete nonsense’, adding that at no time had they been contacted by Real Madrid,” reports the Daily Telegraph.

If Ronaldo has anything about him he'll be feeling like a right cock.

The picture just above your post (I'm assuming you didn't see it at the time of posting) just proved he won't be feeling like a right cock under any circumstances...
