For any doubters, the infamous interview is here (sorry, cant do a live link on here)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8vuFOWetjI

no one doubts what he said but we should wait and let the club deal with it and if we keep the player, then if they can forgive we don't have too but it'd be an idea

If we sell, we bring someone else in. No one doubts what he said but everyone has an agenda...everyone yet no one but us supporters have the best interests of the club at heart.....so let's just leave it to the club to decide his fate.

Chelsea is rumored to be buying Robinho for 40-50 million pounds.

if that actually happens, then we know Madrid will come to Manchester with a cash tank.

This thread will get 2 million views before the start of the season.

Whats this?

Ronaldos thinking of moving ?

who to?

I havent heard a thing about this.

You have to suspect that even if Scholari wants Robhino, the fee is that high so that Real can do just that.

I've been avoiding the Caf this summer on account of this story. Get your arse back to Old Trafford Ronnie.

I wonder how the fact that Sergio Ramos has been fecking his girlfriend is going to effect his move

All that does is buff up Ronnie's price, which isn't anything bad! If they can sell Robinho for £41m (by the way has been denied by Chelsea, although Robinho said he wants to leave Real's Slave Ship) then Ronaldo must be double that plus an added we don't really want to sell him tax!

how would this all work?Fergie would obviously have to replace him so...

Would we sign someone then sell him? spending the money before we have it seems risky but could stop us facing over inflated transfer fees...
Or do we sell him then sign someone? Fees could be over inflated we may end up not being able to afford a replacement and could end up with no Ronny but a big stash of cash...
Can "pre-agreements" be made for players? ie. fee etc agreed then we sell him then finalise the deal for the icoming player? I can't see that working...
Could we agree a deal with Real "subject to us buying a replacement" and expect no one to find out...this conundrum could be one of the reasons why we're all in the dark about whats happening

No chance. Real would blab straight away. When they agreed a deal with Barcelona for Figo, Perez said 'Figo is mine' before Barcelona had even had a chance to say anything or the deal had been announced

Cr7LadyProductions.........

What is the world coming too!?

Would it be too cynical to suggest that chelsea are actually trying to bankroll Madrid's bid for Ronny by buying Robinho for a ridiculous price?

First Chelsea wont buy Robinho and let's pretend they do, What's the point?
Utd have said we are not selling and are not listening to offers. What part of that you lot dont understand? it's not like we are asking for a concrete sum of money. It's we are not selling and that's all. Fergie is a serious man and when he says no its no.

Dont forget the interview he gave after the champions league win.

You're assuming that we would need to BUY a replacement. In the summer of 1995 we sold Hughes, Ince, and Kanchelskis. Three massive players. It was inconceivable to not go out and buy any replacements for them, yet we didn't, and we still won the double. In 2006 we sold Ruud, yet we didn't go out to buy anyone to replace him and still won the league.

Even if Giggs can't be a regular 90 minute player, we have very capable wingers in Nani and Park, and Hargreaves has done very well on the wing on a few occasions, even if it isn't his ideal position. Even Rooney in a pinch, though I hope he doesn't get stuck on the wing regularly. Park and Hargreaves would both be big upgrades from Ronaldo defensively, and when the offense no longer is flowing through Ronaldo, it will give opportunities for other players to step up and shine.

If we buy someone, fine (though I pray we don't go buy some flavor of the month or another mercenary). But if not, we aren't exactly going to be struggling.

Just got back from a 2 week holiday and i see this is still dragging on.. I dont know how i feel about Ronnie anymore, he certainly wont ever be loved as much as the likes of Ole, Giggs etc.

He shouldnt however be fooled into thinking that a move to spain will be all sweetness and light. Look at the Henry transfer, quickly went sour as he unfairly became scapegoat no.1 for a poor season. Spanish fans can be as fickle as the Caf after Utd fail to win a game in the league.. He's got it good at United

soccernet has a number 47.8 million pounds on their web page as the rumored offer for Robinho from Chelsea.

the agent admitted there is an offer, but not that big.

i'm beginning to agree Scolari is trying to buy Robinho just so Madrid has enough cash to tempt united to sell ronaldo.

I hate Scolari already. should make for a good season ahead!

Madrid players and their ego will never let Ronaldo be the superstar of the team like our players let him.

I can't see the likes of Sneijder, Robben, nor Robinho letting him take all the headlines while they themselves are all eyeing the FIFA top honour.

they'll all be fighting to take penalties and free kicks. and hell, maybe goal kicks too!

Even if we wanted to sell Ronaldo, he would fail a medical right now wouldn't he?
