ALL Ronaldo's future/comments/speculation

Well, to be honest I much rather watch someone who has pride putting on the Red jersey than eleven Ronaldo's. When players have no heart to play for United they mean nothing to me - Van never existed for me after the FA Cup tie at Anfield. Ronaldo's first hint wanting a move was enough for me to cross him off my list of United players.

its a fecking good job for us that you are not the manager eh sults..

otherwise we could end with scenarios like.citehfied..

"they didnt play well at all, but by feck, they wore there jerseys with pride..they really really give their all, just was outclassed in the end! anyway its not about silverware these days."

this is NOT my dream team.

just so there is no misunderstanding...Ronaldo has been absolutely mercenary in this matter...I Still think this is All about money.....but all I am pointing out is the business side of the matter could have been handled better by Gill and Glazers...btw I'm not sure if this has been made worse by any secret negotiations behind Gill and SAF by the owners and Real...
The goldfish knows.

supporters cant seem to separate the business side of things...the money made by players, managers and owners and playing for the club and team....

some players will play for the club...no matter....well almost....if the player feels he is taken advantage of by the owners, is he going to stay irrespective?

we should expect Every United player to give his all when he puts on the shirt...and if he does that...thats all we can expect...it would be utterly silly not to make the quality of the player the prime reason for hiring him...and that includes him being a team player of course...the manager plays a key role in molding all the different personalities...but in the end his first agenda would be to get players who would add quality to the team...

The first part's fair enough and I'll answer it fairly. Firstly, he aint going anywhere because we're not selling so a lot had better get used to it. Secondly, I don't take his meanderings as anything near serious. He's a 23 year old immature idiot who's being used by others such as Calderon and the grubby, sensationalist press forever on the lookout for anything that will hurt us. What he's said is nothing different to what he's always said. I'm far from convinced (evidently like Calderon) that he actually, fully, wants to go. A lifetime in business teaches you to be sceptical of face value, you read between the lines and judge the character of the person and get an idea of the way they are likely to react in given situations. He's naive and immature, and since he left for the Euros, surrounded by people pushing him into the decision they want which coincides with his 'dream' He's not convincing me, there's something missing, probably something simple, like making a transfer request for which he's had ample time and could have done without facing Fergie. I bet Fergie wants him back, allright, but not for the shit that most of you lot think, to make sure that everybody has to go through him first in order to get at Ronaldo. Watch it change then. That should also answer your second paragraph.

:boring:

even if they did not grow up supporting man utd? :smirk:

Any decent offer will turn United's heads. Especially now that the fans are against Ronaldo. You should hear the radio talk shows here in the UK. Fans are appalled, and tired of his attitude.

A lot more importantly his of the field value has all but diminished - which usually comes into the equation when salaries are are fixed.

he has really done your head in hasnt he sultan?

here, take one of these from me:-

send one to anyone else who is pissed of with our ronnie..lets all work to defuse the wretched situation :)

lets cellebrate GOOD TIMES.

From Ron:
You know what I want-- $$
dreamed of-- $$
been thinking-- $$

so we'll see

If we sell the player - we give them what they want AND we run the risk of them ALWAYS pulling this shit on us.

If we keep the player, we use him - he produces on the pitch (and he would), and then we get rid.

Or maybe he sees the light and wants to stay :)

Putting him in the reserves (would the reserve players thank you for that?) is detremental to the morale of the squad and shouldn't happen.

If he's at the club, he should clearly play. Forget this slavery bullshit. The guy can't even expand on his point, because he doesn't have one.

Everyone knows it's daft and yes a slight on the club - but you tell me one person that actually believes him? It won't effect anyone as most people would think it bollocks. if anything it's more a slight on Ronaldos character

The point is do we want to do madrid any favors? If they offered the money we want, then it'd be different but they haven't even made a bid.....

agreed should not be sold...no matter what the situation

in fairness it was slippery pete who oversaw that transfere before departing to the same team. he could quite easily have pulled rank on SAF

We all know Kenyon's a cnut, and we'll never know if he botched the Ronaldinho transfer on purpose. But I doubt he actually had the nerve to go and sell a player Fergie wanted to keep.

PELE has blasted FIFA president Sepp Blatter for labelling Cristiano Ronaldo a 'slave'.

Blatter insists the Portuguese ace should be allowed to break his contract and join Real Madrid against Manchester United's wishes.

Unsurprisingly, Ronaldo was delighted to hear the comments from the head of world football as he battles to engineer a move to Spain.

But Pele, arguably the game's greatest player of all time, believes Blatter's view is wide of the mark.

The Brazilian legend said: "You are a slave if you work without a contract or you don’t get paid.

"If you have a contract then in any job you have to finish the contract.

"I think that when Ronaldo finishes his contract, then he should be free to go wherever he wants to."

England World Cup hero Gordon Banks also believes Ronaldo should remain loyal to United.

He said: “Ronaldo should respect his manager and honour his contract.

“I don’t understand what the problem is. He plays for a team that has just won the European Cup and the Premier League.

"He plays for his country. What more does he want?

“It’s like anything in life. If a businessman signs a contract then he has to honour it. It’ s no different than a professional footballer."

There is little reason to believe secret negotiations have taken place. The less we assume, the better.

Also Ronaldo has not asked for a new contract. We generally know when players are posturing for an improved contract, Ronnie's not doing that at all. If he does accept one, it'll probably mean extending it to another 5years, thus prolonging the period of influence the club will have over his career. That's not what he wants at all.

It's pretty clear he wants to play for Madrid, and that's that. And there's not much the Glazers or Gill can do to change this.

Up until a aweek ago, I wanted us to keep Ronaldo - end of.

Now I feel that if Madrid step up and put their money where the fat mouths are, and offer us £80 million, we should take it.

If they **** around and insult us with stupid offers, and Ronnie insists on going, then he can get used to the reserves subs bench, **** him in the ear.

Once he's had a chat with Fergie and its all sorted out and he is staying, then after the first 3 goals he scored against the Barcodes - its Viva Ronaldo

That's what I feel too. anything that is near 70 or 80 is fine. But again I'd like to see him in our bench and reserves...

I love the fact that Ferguson has ditched plans to go and visit the greaseball in Lisbon. feck off Ronaldo.

Well if you believe the tabloids as fact. There was no evidence to that story, just the usual 'source'

Not sure if this has already been posted or not i'm not trawling through all this to find it! Keep in mind the quotes have been taken from Marca but i'll be very disappointed in Beckham if he's said this:

David Beckham believes the potential signing of Cristiano Ronaldo would be a great coup for Real Madrid in their pursuit of the Champions League.

The protracted saga over the Portugal forward shows no sign of abating with the 23-year-old remaining firmly in the spotlight after agreeing with FIFA chief Sepp Blatter's assertion that he is the victim of 'modern slavery'.

The former England skipper agrees that Ronaldo would represent a top capture for the Spanish side as they look to supplant Manchester United as European champions.

The 33-year-old told Marca: 'Every club wants to have the best players in the world, and it is normal that they all want someone as good as Cristiano, because he is a decisive player who will help them win titles.

'Manchester United won the Champions League with him, which is the best example. He would be a great signing for the club and for the fans, who always want to see the best.

'The truth is that every player like that wants to play in the Bernabeu some time, to feel the support of the Madrid fans.

Real Madrid and the Bernabeu are a unique experience in football.

'Who knows (what will happen with Ronaldo)? In football anything can happen, but that two clubs such as Manchester United and Real Madrid want you is an honour.'

Upset with the Ronaldo situation?

I am not denying his importance to the club, but I am also not afraid of losing him. My admiration of Ronaldo the player is not turning into hatred as I realise he is going to leave. It's not like a women who scorns the love that was once unquestioned - I have not developed a hatred for the once beloved Ronaldo.

World class players come, and go. Proper fans don't follow United because they have Ronaldo playing, or because they are successful - they follow the team. He was fantastic whilst it lasted, but he want's to move on, so must we, and we must accept that fact. Why is that so difficult to understand?

Football, or any business is not about pride, or principles. We need to move forward, and buy replacements who will not cause a circus, and be talked about more the team.

All paper talk.

Maybe so. But we should not always be so cynical about "sources." Leaks do happen. Whatever. It is indisputable that SAF has made no effort to reconcile any differences with Ronaldo. Whereas after the 06 WC, he and CQ were very keen to patch things up immediately.

Maybe he already has. Maybe they have a meeting date planned. Who knows whats going on behind the scenes

To be fair, having played for both clubs Becks is sitting on the fence with those comments. I can't see what he's said to dissapoint.

Marca would stoop to any levels to keep the propaganda machine rolling.

Marca is Madrid's mouth piece.

They want to buy the Ronaldo, and just as we have used the media for our pursuits in the past, they are doing what they need to do. They will carry on with the propaganda until that boy Ronaldo does not shut them up with a clear statement of intent.

We don't know him ofcourse but he seems ...well, a nicer person then Ronaldo. I can't imagine him coming out with this 'future' bullshit.

Don't think every united player is so loyal as players like Giggs.

(We've even booed him. Remember his miss against Arsenal back in 2003?)
