Ronaldo could easily sign the contract. He's just looking for something like a 140000 per week or something.

Sign the contract Ronaldo and realize that no player is bigger than the club.

(And feck off to Madrid if you want to.)

im tired of that shit too.he has a contract with United,United want to keep him,Wheres the doubt?and whats this "two or three weeks " shit about.
hes becoming a bit of a diva, yeasterday he missed a free kick in training and decided to go take a bath sooner.

This should have been in the other thread. I'm sure it'll get merged.

However, what the OP is saying is kind of true. Ronaldo seems to be saying different things to different papers/TV stations. There's one way to sort it out and thats to come on TV and say "I'm staying".

Which he has done to be fair, but then not so long after that he said we'd see in 2 to 3 weeks, or things along those lines. I can understand why people are upset with Ronaldo, it does seem like he's brings all this speculation his way by the things he says, or alleged to say.

Hopefully, he'll make a statement putting the matter to bed for now.

Real Madrid are still cnuts mind, the way they conduct 'business' is shocking and I would fully welcome Man Utd reporting them to Fifa. Not that Fifa could do anything about I'd guess.

I really really do hope he stays, he's the best player in the world and the though of 'our' Ronaldo playing for another team doesn't sit right with me. However, this speculation isn't something I like and I do feel Ronaldo as played his part. Unfortunately.

Just read that his girlfriend said they will get married soon. She's spanish, so he's off for sure

No the problem is people who go around thinking every player that plays for us is Ryan Giggs or Gary Neville. Ronaldo`s not more loyal than what we give him, he wants a high salary and he wants to be in a team that challenges for trophies every year. So far that`s been us, and he wants to stay. As he says in every interview. He also says that he wants to play in Spain someday, something we have known all along, so he`s not going to ask Madrid to feck themselves now is he?

Everyone knows this situation, we all wish he had the loyalty of a Neville but that was never going to happen. You just realised it a bit late mate.

Maybe you're right, I'm old school, now in my 50's I just belive in being and showing loyalty. Might be Ronny is just a bit greedy ( we all would love more money ) and is out for a new contract, But I love Manchester United and can never understand why others don't !!

I just hope he stays and shows loyalty to us ! ( a bit naive I know )

Probably means he wants to concentrate on the Euro where after the tournament he will extend his contract.

THe thing is, that this is becoming an annual "try and stop ronaldo going to madrid" type event. I can understand a player keeping his options open when he decides to leave but i dont think we should have to put up with this every post/pre season.

erm... I remember similar statements about a certain Rio Ferdinand at one stage...

Its obvious Ronaldos going to sign a new contract at utd.. It may well take 3 weeks to get that contract sorted which may be why he cant say anything for 2-3 weeks...

now calm down...

 What the hell is that all about. Very mature.

Well, whatever he said was true, we all know that, and we can feel it. There has been a lot of similar discussion in the other main thread, I am sure we needn't create another thread just to throw out our individual feelings. This case has gotten far enough, and emotions are obviously running high for some of us. Its the same shit again and again, Ronaldo, Man Utd and all of us are just tired about it. Ronaldo has already previously said he stays because of SAF and Queiroz and many other times he stated that he is happy at the moment. We needn't bring emotions up again and again. Precisely with 1 single grieving thread like this will stir up thousands of emotions and opinions, and thats what the media thrives on to stir up shit. Its all gossip and bullshit, Ronaldo knows it, SAF knows it, Real knows it, some of us knows it, thats why they are all shutting up. We should not start grieving thoughts which will ultimate be blown out of proportion by the media.

Well why does he keep giving contradictory statements? This has nothing to do with being emotional, its just obvious he's dosent want to commit fully just in case....

Sorry Mate, I have already said I know I should have posted in the other thread.

As you can see I'm not a big poster, I read the forum most days, I have a passion for the Club. Emotions are high, and I hope, even pray, that everything works out our way.

Firstly his command of English is not too good, so he might interprete things in a different way from us. Secondly, old quotes. Thirdly, some of the things he said might just be some twisted words from an interview. We can choose to believe them and and get angry with them, or move on and trust the player on his loyalty. Ronaldo is not a ***-loyal footballer. Contract takes time to sort out.

Ifs and buts, if he really was 100% sure he would say. All i will say is theres no smoke without fire.

Everyone knows this situation, we all wish he had the loyalty of a Neville but that was never going to happen. You just realised it a bit late mate.

the problem with that kind of expectation is that first of all Neville was never as good a player as Ronaldo has been in the past 2 years, and more importantly Neville is an Englishman, he's already playing at the club any British footballer would dream of playing when they were growing up as kids.

you have to understand that there's generally a difference in the taste or personal preference of footballers depending on where they come from. That's why you see most latin and south americans plying their trade in la liga and serie A. Do you seriously think an Argentine prodigy growing up in South America dreams of playing in England and watches the premier league day in day out? or are they more likely to dream about playing for the likes of barca and madrid?

The same goes for the likes of giggs, Neville and Rooney. They didn't grow up watching la liga, but the premier league and dreamt about playing for the likes of united. After all, they're British and the culture and surroundings at United would be more attractive to them. If they were snapped up by Real madrid at 18 and had to live in an entirely different country and culture, it's not inconcieveable that they'd very much prefer they were snapped up by United at 18...I think it's reasonable to say that if Rooney and Ronaldo were both bought by barca at 18, that Rooney would be more desperate to play for United at 23 than Ronaldo would....So I think that this should be put into perspective and thought about more objectively. I know it's frustrating but that's reality I'm afraid.

:D No problem mate, sorry if my tone was a little harsh, emotions :D It's a forum and we are all open to discussions. We are all hopeful for the future I am sure!

Agreed mate. Spoken like a true geographer :D Place and space!

Fair enough TD, I suppose I should have posted there. But sometimes you get to pissed off to think right !

Mate I understand, Real Madrid are the biggest set of cnuts in football, well them and Chelski. I think the one big thread for all the speculation is a great idea because that is all it is, speculation. I can only go on what I saw after the final, the words 'I stay' from his own mouth. I don't place any creedence in sports rags, especially this time of year, I get what info I need from places like here and filter out the shit.

Much so called journalism is at this stage of the non-season purely speculative, based on very little fact and a desire to sell papers and fire-up people's reactions. Often you get a bullshit story just so two days later the same paper can reveal 'exclusively' that that bullshit story isn't true.

Sorry to have been terse earlier but I think the forum has got it spot on here. Pile it all into one big thread to let off steam because it isn't worthy of 6 or 7 threads on the same theme.

All Ronaldo wants is more money. United should make him the highest paid footballer out there becuase he is the best and frankly he deserves to be paid the best. Guess who is currently the highest paid footballer JOHN THE BOTTLER TERRY. THis is why Ronaldo is coy regarding his future. It all comes down to money people stop complicating things people.

Ronaldo shouldn't have said about wait for more news in 2 or 3 weeks time, it got he press in full swing on his future.

This is easy to sort out !

Ronaldo says " feck off Madrid"

I reiterate my suggestion to have a "Random Ronaldo Transfer Bollocks" forum for the summer, or rather for every summer till he is here.

It will help prevent spazzing up of the United forum.

Once again, I accept I should have posted in the other thread, I'm sure you're not being personal but I take exeption to being labled a spaz ! :(

no FRN, I was not calling you a spaz.

Its just that so much bollocks that is being and is going to be written about Ronaldo this summer and indeed every summer, that a forum like that would be required.

Thanks for that RR, and I understand what you say, but just one this one point I feel it did need it's own thread.

All OUR Ronny needs do do is say feck OFF to Madrid !... End of Problem !

I think something is very fecked up with the quoting in this thread, most quotes are from the wrong poster.

But if you were trying to quote me with that post I`ll just say that I agree with that, and that that was the point I was trying to make all along.

How many times does Ronaldo have to say he's happy here and wants to stay for all this nonsense to stop? Yes, he may say he doesn't know what the future holds, that doesn't mean that he's thinking about leaving, it just means nobody knows what the future will hold.

This is easy to sort out !

Ronaldo says " feck off Madrid"

Exactly! How difficult can it be?
The reason he's not saying anything unfortunately is because he's defintely giving it some thought. It's poor form by Ronaldo, but he's been so fecking good for us over the past 2 seasons that i can't find it within myself to criticise him.

Real's operating board have banned Calderon from talking about a player from Portugal with the initials CR. He who should remain nameless also remained nameless when Valter di Salvo (Real's fitness coach was United's until last year) said he thought top class PL players could easily adapt to La Liga.

Meanwhile United's number 7 still isn't back in full training. In a new twist on an old story Portugal's coaching staff say United have sent him back knackered and they're trying to get him fit. (They say the same about Carvalho as well but nobody cares as much)

i was under the impression that bayern actually wanted to sell hargreaves, but when they lost ballack they had no choice but to pull the plug on the deal.

as for real madrid they are willing to do whatever it takes to get Ronaldo, but they will hide behind there mouthpiece (marca) while its going on, they will also use every dirty trick in the book.
i also think that real madrid see Ronaldo as a new Beckham, they see the dollar signs and thats why they won't give up. madrid are in a league of there own when in pursuit of a star player, especially when that player is a potential goldmine.

Well said, very well said indeed.

Perhaps the 3 weeks means he's now going to concentrate on the Euros and not say any more until after they are over.
