Sad thing here is, gambit, people are actually forgetting "the one", I'm fairly certain he hasn't been listed in the forwards we have at present whilst discussing welbeck and macheda!. Diouf is more like the forgotten one than the one!.

we're selling him this summer. No doubt aboot it!

Was watching Youtube clips of him and his style of play reminds me of a young C Ronaldo. Alot of stepovers, trying to beat the man, a ball hog. His play seems too unpredictable (and that's a bad thing) as the players around him don't know when he will pass. Actually, the passes he creates for his team mates aren't that great either.

In addition, looking at his hair and diamond earrings and I think this guy is pretty vain and arrogant. Looks like a trouble maker. Sooner or later he will cry out for Barcelona or Real.

Not to mention all the sex scandals such a man will create...

Blasphemer!

 Me!? what did i do? blame Gambit hes chief transfer muppet around here i just sponge info off other forums.

It's too late for laying blame elsewhere now, the responsibility is yours.

As the Muppet King I take full responsibility. I may also command both your heads for pennance though. R_Nick for his Bullshit! AFO for daring to mention trading the One! Yeah I saw that.

Bullshit!

I would cum hard if we really do end up signing Sanchez. But with City & Barca both competing for him, I just do not see it happening. Give it 0% chance.

My inter muppet is hoping for us to get this player and end up with this

4-2-3-1:

Team A:

----Carrick-----Scholes replacement---

Nani----------Rooney------Sanchez

-------------Hernandez----------

Team B:

------Fletcher------Anderson---
----------------------(Giggs)-----

--Valencia------Young-----Park--
(Wellbeck)--------------- (Cleverly)

--------------Berbatov----------
----------------(Owen) -------------

:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

(NB: Back up in brackets)

Maybe we're moving Valencia into midfield, or right-back. Otherwise we are intending to play 5 wingers per game. Actually, could be fun.

Similar for our interest in Nasri though - if the Young deal is as done as claimed, then why show any interest in Sanchez or Nasri - unless Nani is going to be sold/swapped.... It's muppetry gone mad, but this whole Nani for Sneijder deal does make a little sense

Nasri can play in a deeper central midfield role. He has done so for Marseille. He would be the 'Scholes Replacement'. Sanchez has so far played on the wings or as a second striker. As such, I would classify Nasri as a central midfield signing, and Sanchez as a wing signing. So if we get Young, getting Sanchez as well would be weird if we intend to keep all our present wingers. But it won't have an impact on our supposed interest in Nasri I would think.

He's also played there for Arsenal. And played very well.

It's easy to see where we fit Nasri into our squad. Finding a place for Sanchez is a whole lot trickier.

Aching a little after returning from Barcelona this morning lads. Was travelling with a fairly large party, so I was moved out of Business class, really isn't quite as comfortable flying 1st but I was one of the youngest so it's less of a struggle for me to suffer! Also, Turkish Airlines have some really fit hostesses.

Anyway, what's happening in here then?

I actually do and I think we can thank Hernandez for it.

Ok, maybe that is a bit of an overstatement, obviously we knew about the marketing potential of owning a country's star before we signed Hernandez, Park being an obvious example but if you look at the mania Hernandez caused in Mexico and how many shirts Hernandez has sold (he was our top selling shit for 10-11) then you know that you will recoup a fair bit of whatever you outlay.

On top of the fact he is one of the worlds most promising players right now, it wouldn't surprise me if we were trying to build our name in South America. Everyone knows Madrid and Barcelona are the team that people grow up following if you are born in South America at the moment, owning two stars from two South American countries would do us no harm in breaking into that market. As someone said on here the other day, in Mexico people support 3 teams now, Their local club, Mexico NT and Manchester United.

Fast forward 10 or 15 years time and there could be a bunch of young players coming through that say "It has always been my dream to follow players like Anderson, Hernandez and Sanchez to Manchester". I think thats important for this club. I think it was a bit of an ego hit for us when Ronaldo brought to light the fact that for latin players the likes of Madrid and Barca are far more attractive to them.

I understand and agree with your post.Hernandez as done wonders for the image of the club in Mexico and hopefully Anderson and the twins will do likewise in Brazil.

unless giggs is retiring? there is no way we should let nani go to free up space for sanchez if he arrives, pure madness....

Problem is, we've never seen much of Nasri playing CM so to consider him a pure CM based on his days in Marsaille would be quite too much... He will be considered a CM if we bought him though... But quite harsh to compare him to the genius Scholes himself...

I did watch him a few times playing that role for Marseille and ,on slightly fewer occasions, for Arsenal. I liked what I saw. He does not shun responsibility in wanting to get on the ball to create things, and that is something we need from our 'new playmaker'.

I wasn't comparing him to Scholes tough. No one can be compared to Scholes, but we need someone who will be able to fit into that role and takeover.

You should know if you were in Barcelona yesterday.

*Tapsnose*

I had to put my blackberry on speaker phone because David had forget his, I can you tell now, I've never seen an Italian look more confused at what he heard.

Here is the official transcript.

Unspecified Man 1:"Giampaolo, how are ya bairns? *Chew* Good to hear from ya, listen, the boy
Sanchez....
very talented, no doubt about that."

Giampaolo: "Mr
Ferguson
, he is very talented,
Alexis
is a special player, but I've already recieved a proposition from
Manchester Shitehawks?
Do you pronounce it,
Shitehawky?
I know not, I had never heard of them. They are rich."

Unspecified Man 1: "Load of wankers Giampaolo, can I call you Paolo? Listen - those
blue
nosed bastards are shite - do you want to waste the boys talent completely? He could be a proud representitive of
Udinese
a team of great pride, right? No doubt about that."

My battery ran out that point. Which may be why I was kicked out of business class.

[Muppetry]
-Sanchez primarily want to go to Barcelona, but Barcelona can only afford a swap deal
-Udinese want money. ManC have money but Sanchez don't want to join the minor club in Manchester
-Manchester United sign Sanchez!!
[/Muppetry]

To be fair how are all the reports of him joining United different from all the previous ones? He was supposed to be joining Inter, then City, then Barcelona, then City again. No one really has a clue where he's going to end up but one thing is sure, Udinese are handling it all brilliantly and will get a top price for their man.

I'm as confused as the next supporter, I can't imagine that we can be considering loosing Nani, he is generally agreed as our most creative player.

I guess we must be cashing in on Berba then?

But why pay £27M for Sanchez as another striking option with Welbeck joining the 1st team (at last)?

What happens to the Rooney/Chico partnership then?

Is Rooney actually the 'new' Scholes then, negating the need for Shneider/Modric/Nasri?

Confused? You will be...

He'll go to the highest bidder I reckon. From the outside it looks like his club are resigned to losing him and trying to get every last penny from the deal - who can blame them?

I'm not surprised we're trying to sign Sanchez, we tried to sign a bunch of Chilean minors earlier this year when we heard they were good in a box.

Talksport, eh?

Why would they come out and bring up a controversial talking point like that, if they didn't have any proof?

The beating City to his signature part has been on Talksport news all morning, but it is very vague and i suspect simply a reaction to the newspaper story.

More interestingly though, they had an Italian correspondent on who said he believes Utd are seriously interested, as are City, but not too rule out Inter just yet, as Moratti is lining up Chile's WC coach Marcelo Bielsa as his new manager.

It would appear we are actually interested. The plot thickens........
