Oh I'll also add that although i love the kid.. There's not much point for us to sign him.. Valencia wont be shift from right mid andhe's much better there than on the left. Young seems the smarter buy at only 15mil imo.

dont need him, he wouldn't have made a difference.

probably wouldn't even start against barca since he doesn't track back like valencia and park and hernandez/rooney is the go-to partnership.

better to save the 30 million.

Inter will only sign Udinese sensation Alexis Sanchez if the price is right, admits director Ernesto Paolillo.

The Nerazzurri are in negotiations with the Bianconeri over the Chilean World Cup player, but talks are continuing.

“It would be nice to have Sanchez, but it all depends on the price,” the San Siro official told Radio Sportiva. “We’ll see.”

Inter have been chasing the attacker since last autumn and Udinese claim they have already rejected a €35m offer for him – thought to be from Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Paolillo added that boss Leonardo would remain and so too would star striker Samuel Eto’o.

“We are happy with the work of Leonardo. The new project started with him and it will continue with him,” he added.

“As for Eto’o, he is a leader and he’ll certainly stay with us.”

Inter won the Coppa Italia last night as Eto’o scored twice in the 3-1 over Palermo.

If they get him, Inter will have quite some attack with him, Eto'o and Sneijder (assuming the latter stays)

---------Motta--Cambiasso--------
Sneijder--------------------Sanchez
----------------Eto'o----------------

He does track back though, his energy and comfortability in possession would've made him hugely useful.

Where would you play him though? Besides if do end up signing Young as the papers suggest, then than more or less confirms he's not coming here.

Depends on Berbatov really, as long as he's happy to stay I don't see the need for him really but then I've not got the foresight of Sir Alex. Valencia and Nani to me is us sorted for first choice wingers for now, Berbatov, Rooney and Chicharito is absolutely enough for the forwards - no need for him.

If Berbatov goes I could definitely understand us going in for him.

so you see him as a striker. not sure if he has played in that position. whenever I have seen him , he has been on the wings. But I read he can play just behind the main striker. If that is what you meant I'm not sure.

I think he's like a not shit Walcott in regards that he'll be molded from a winger into a striker when the time is right and his prowess and movement in front of goal is good enough.

Actually, like Messi!

4231 with him behind Chicharito, Rooney or probably even Welbeck seems hugely viable. He's a somewhat different player to the one we saw at the World Cup last year, his passing's more prominent.

copy the Barca front three blueprint.

Messi-Sanchez
Villa-Rooney
Pedro-Nani

Easy....

I know you're not being entirely serious but dropping Valencia and Hernandez isn't exactly something that excites me. Would likely happen quite often if we did buy him, mind.

Barca's success is more due to the 3 behind them I'd say.

yeah - sign Modric/Sneijder and..... I don't know.

Carrick-Anderson
----Modric
Nani-Sanchez-Rooney.

Easy-peasey-puddin-and-pie.

This football lark, don't see what the fuss is.

Would tear the premiership apart, again, no problem imo. Still reckon Barcelona would murder that though....

In all seriousness though, we are not getting Sanchez. Seems like Young is a done deal and will be announced very soon, and I don't see why we would be signing Young if we were planning on signing Sanchez - but that could just be me. I think Sanchez would mean a move to a 433 formation, Young is far more a 442 signing. I do hope a player like Modric or Sneijder will be bought, but I really don't think Sanchez will be coming in. Based on the players we seem to be getting, I don't think we'll strengthen the midfield enough. (De Gea, Varane and Young seem very likely, maybe one more player such as Modric or Sneijder and I would be shocked if we did any work after that - but I think we could do with a defensive midfield option)

Manchester City scout Attilio Lombardo gives up on Alexis Sanchez, but admits “we’re interested in Napoli’s forwards.”

Roberto Mancini’s former Sampdoria teammate has joined his coaching staff at Eastlands and commented on Radio Crc about various transfer links.

“I hope there can be some negotiations between Napoli and Manchester City, especially as I’d see one of their three forwards would really suit City,” said Lombardo.

“The trio of Edinson Cavani, Marek Hamsik and Ezequiel Lavezzi would bring success to any club. Napoli have very strong players, but I doubt they’d release Hamsik and Cavani at the same time.”

This could well be a reference to the reports that Milan are pushing to sign Hamsik over the summer.

“Manchester City are tracking many players because this club wants to do well, to win and to become the most important side in Europe. Napoli have good players, so that is why we are looking at them.”

The Premier League outfit had also been heavily linked with a bid for Udinese talent Sanchez.

“It’s true we did track Sanchez, but I think this player is more suited to an Italian club right now.”
So is this that then.

You know, it could just be that the player said no to Man City... Then again, its not like city haven't fecked Udi around. Believe it or not, clubs still have self respect.

It's the fact he says that he would be better off staying in Italy that i find strange. ALmost as if they don't want to admit something, something like he'd rather play at another English club perhaps.

Or that he has agreed to join Inter.

It seems that people will go to any lengths to delude themselves about Sanchez. We should get over him.

I could have meant Chelsea, there's as much linking him to Inter as there is Juventus and Napoli. In fact there's as much linking him with Barca.

Sanchez 7 this summer at United. Believe!
Fergie and Fletch will kidnap him from whichever airport he is at!

Morrati has said there's a 60% chance of Inter signing Sanchez.

We don't appear to be in the running to sign him.

Crying shame. With our tradition of wingers he would be the ideal fit.

Ah well. As long as he doesn't go to city or Chelsea...or Liverpool!

Owen is staying. So the #7 is going to stick with Owen.

Which is the worst bit of him staying.. Let alone the fact that he will block the progress of Welbeck and Macheda.. But If Berbatov gets sold then keeping Owen makes sense..
