Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

The delusion on here is so strong. Why are so many people convinced we haven't tried for him? Do people just not want to accept he'd rather play for City?
It's seemingly very important for you to tell us he doesn't want to.

I believe that if L'pool sign Lemar who I really rate and Chelsea sign Ox, we will be 4th in the league this season. Liverpool and City as much as I hate to admit have the best attack in the league, while Chelsea has solidity in the squad.

If we sign Sanchez, we would automatically be big title favourites, as he is capable of driving the team alone and is a game changer. I dont expect him to sign for us, but I really dont understand the reasons why we're not in for him.
Couple of questions regarding this.

Q1 - Where do you think Arsenal finish the season with him in their team?

Q2 - Where do you think Arsenal finish the season without him in their team?

You're massively knee-jerking here. Liverpool signing Lemar doesn't automatically aid their defensive woes. City have looked poor despite how stacked they are, they'll need a long time to gel/understand Guardiola's philosophy, Chelsea have a great first 11 but lack quality squad depth. Don't worry about our rivals, we're looking very good so far, we've been dominant in every game and have yet to concede, we're also the most settled team. Relax, man.

Chelsea signing Ox is going to do feck all, for them and for Arsenal. He's not good enough for him leaving or arriving to have a significant effect on a title challenge, and will probably spend half the season benched or injured.

Don't sell us short, United are easily the most balanced team in the league now. Liverpool have a joke of a defence and gk, got Kieta for a dm but position not addressed to next year. Thinks aren't alright in the Chelsea camp with Conte, players like drinkwater or Ox aren't going to drastically improve them. City have a great squad but Pepsi still has questions to answer at the back and tactically. He only plays one way and style isn't flexible. I think another player down the left could be important but we need the right player. I doubt Sanchez would come to us, Jose knows this. Arsenal are a joke though so you can never rule out anything.

I....don't see how that relates to my question. Of course I don't for a fact, which you know before making that post.
Well you did ask do people just dont want to accept he'd rather play for City so just asking.

Wenger would never sell him to Mourinho, Jose has been pulling his chain for years.

It would be hilarious if Wenger let his best player go to a man who called him a specialist in failure. Especially if Sanchez went on to help us win the title.

Wenger can piss and moan all he wants but I think the Arsenal board and owners will sell him to whoever offers the most and who the player agrees to join.

Wenger has complete control of the club. The board don't do feck all.

Given the player can sign a pre-contract in January, further unsettling things because he WILL throw strops while he sees the season out, the player has a lot of negotiating power to go to the club he chooses to be sold to.

I believe we are good in defence and midfield, but we are behind Liverpool, Chelsea and City in attack, especially in winger/attacking midfielders positions. You can't compare Mane/Salah or De Bruyne/Silva or Hazard/Willian to Rashford(Martial)/Mata. That is my concern. We are 1 great attacking player behind these three teams IMO, so Sanchez would give us that edge.

We is an improvement to Moses IMO. Although Moses had a great season last year, Ox is faster, is better on the ball and is a better crosser. They need crosses especially for Morata who is great in the air, so Ox if fit will definitely improve them. He is also an option for the advanced positions (LW & RW), as Chelsea lack depth in those positions.

I wonder whether the only firm offers are from PL clubs and that's why he's still there? That club is toxic at mo and whether he comes here or anywhere else, they need him gone.

Q2 - Where do you think Arsenal finish the season without him in their team?

I can't predict anything, but these two questions can be easily answered by last year's stats. Sanchez scored 24 goals and 11 assists in the league. He was directly involved in 35 goals, which is short only of Kane's stats who was involved in 36.

If he stays I don't see him being anywhere near as productive as last season.

Produced a lot amidst the rumours and dissappointment last season though - But could be a downer.

Anyways: What's your take on Jesus, Judas?

Rumours from Spain we're bidding for Bale. If we sign Bale for nearly double what Sanchez will go for I'll be pissed!

Sanchez is the better player for me.

I would rather pay 100m for Sanchez than 100m for Bale. Even if they are both 28.

Don't believe the rumors from Spain. According to them we have already signed Morata and Cr7 is on his way to England.

I don't know so many believe the notion that 'Wenger wouldn't sell to us/Mourinho'. What about RVP?

I think players have more power than ever these days and if they really want to force a move to a club then there's not much a manager can do.

Well Jose wasn't in charge then, for one.

It's possible they would rather hang on to him and lose him for nothing, but I think they'd rather sell him to City/abroad, and I don't think the players preference for us is great enough to force the deal.

Arsenal would be stupid not to take it.

That would.be a tremendous deal for Arsenal.
Not really. First rank of quality out, second rank in. Better than nothing but Daphne is inconsistent. He is egotistical. And he will be injury prone in the mid period of his career.

Whilst you can't compare our young guns man for man, admittedly we are inferior, a great defense and midfield will usually ensure that you need to score less to garner title winning points over the course of the season. It is also a fact that Martial, Rashford and Mkhitaryan are unknown quantities which means their seasons can go either way but surely they can't all be shit again and if two of them get us more than ten goals then we will be fine. Basically a lot of things are still up in the air regarding our attack but so far Pogba looks like he will score around ten, Martial looks confident again, Rashford looks like he has grown as a player and Mkhi looks settled - add Matic's calming influence and Fellaini coming in to do his thing we look good imo dare I say as good as we have looked since 2012?

Decent start but I'll wait till we play one of the top 6. Last season we started well then played City and got taken apart.

I'd see it as an improvement in any wide option Arsenal currently have. Have Lacazette up front and Ozil at 10 and you've a good front line.

Of course it's probably for nowt as Arsenal's biggest problem is the midfielders being unable to get the ball to the forwards.

I'd say yes if Rojo is fit, unfortunately he's still some way off.

January bid perhaps? If he stays there until then.

We have Lindelof and Tuanzebe, give them Smalling and get this deal done

Arsenal should push to include Gundogan also in deal. Just for shits and giggles. Perfect player for Arsenal, stays injured most of the times.
