Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

Yeah but it really doesn't. We have just got Rooney off our books. Before you say we signed 3 players this year, remember we also got Schweinsteiger and Schniderlin off of our books too. Bastian was a big earner. City can not blow us out the water with wages ffs.

They can if they want to. There is absolutely no chance we'd offer Sanchez £500,000 a week for example, but City might well do something crazy like that to get him.

Why are people saying wenger won't sell to us because he hates Jose? Surely it's completely out of Wengers hands where Sanchez ends up.

the Arsenal owners/board treat the club as a business not a team so surely will sell to whoever offers the most cash or better deal. I honestly don't think wenger will get a say at all.

EDIT - Posted tweets that seem to be BS. My bad.

Don't really post transfer tweets so apologies if this is from a black listed account but they said they had huge news but were waiting on a couple of details. Never heard of them but here it is..

Dunno if they're reliable at all. They post a feck load though.

It's definitely blacklisted. It's transfer insider which is the same as "Agent Whatever". It's a nonsense account.

Give them Smalling and Wilson?

I agree with Dannyrhinos that I doubt the manager has any real veto power in this type of game, at least not the ability to let personal feelings about another manager be the sole reason why something does or does not happen, other people would need to be on board at the club with that line of thinking.

He would be a beast and game changer for us but what would thst mean for martial / Radford....if it's possible, still torn as martial will come good and rashford needs game time and too good not to be staying with us.

I'd hope we would play Sanchez on the right if he came here. RW and LB are the two positions we need to strengthen IMO. I know Sanchez usually plays from the left but he can play any of the attacking positions and would be great at RW for us instead of taking the LW slot from Martial/Rashford.

why do you assume wenger has no say?

ffs board only agrees on things after asking the old fool. They will never take such a decision without his ok.

Arsenal are the only club run like this, there are no other out there. I think fergie was the same at united but at least he had the brains and ruthlessness to make the right decision at the right time.

Edit: To add to this to put more credibility, wenger was part of the interview panel to hire his own boss in the hierarchical structure of the club (gazidis) and this summer gazidis was pushing to hire a director of football to which wenger just laughed it off and the idea was thrown out of the window. The man runs this club, simple as.

The owners/board are just names that leech money from the club

Good shout. Just assumed he's be played on the left for some reason.

I don't want him. Let him go City or PSG.

Let him go to city and watch them implod. There's enough egos there already and another 'superstar' to shoehorn into 10 outfield positions, they'll be making more changes than an American football team....

And Operation #Sanche7terUnited begins

I genuinely don't believe Arsenal are going to risk losing him for nothing next season and potentially ruining team morale any further.

His most likely destination is City though, but here's hoping he sees how saturated they already are in attack and is put off the move.

Maybe Arsenal would prefer to sell to City rather than us since City will almost certainly be competing for the title, which Arsenal definitely won't be so they won't finish above City, but they might think they have a better chance of beating us to the top four trophy?

Actually no, I'm pretty sure it's just pure pettiness from Arsenal refusing to sell to us, never mind the Wenger/Jose feud. Maybe watching Welbeck playing for them yesterday made that pettiness towards us even more greater :D

I looked through the last few pages and have only seen Pilib's tweet and a deleted tweet. Is there any solid links to us?

IF we sign Sanchez, then we are also wanting to seriously compete in Champions League this season too.

Not sure what it would mean for Mata or Lingard though - one would have to leave

Our brand of football suits him more.. surely he must have learnt that from his time under Guardiola?

Mata, Rash/Martial, Ibra, Herrera is a quality bench

Don't get fecking excited over a loan Pilib tweet ffs.
He can't be wrong no matter what happens, City was always his destination.

I don't see Sanchez playing the tiki-taka shit. We got Lukaku , who was destined to go to Chelsea. If we could give them Lingard/Smalling , i think AW might give us a thought.

I believe that if L'pool sign Lemar who I really rate and Chelsea sign Ox, we will be 4th in the league this season. Liverpool and City as much as I hate to admit have the best attack in the league, while Chelsea has solidity in the squad.

If we sign Sanchez, we would automatically be big title favourites, as he is capable of driving the team alone and is a game changer. I dont expect him to sign for us, but I really dont understand the reasons why we're not in for him.

Only reason we wouldn't be in for him is if Arsenal categorically refuse to sell him to us.

To be honest I'm surprised (if) he even wants to stay in England, never mind move up north to Manchester.

Thought he would have been looking at PSG or Italy.
