Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

True, but at least we look like we've got a squad that can compete for the title at that price. Transfermrkt doesn't even include agent fees either. :annoyed:

Mourinho at United:
17/18 net spend: £94.52m
16/17 net spend: £117.17m

Pep at City:
17/18 net spend: £108.71m
16/17 net spend: £151.0m

Feeling good about this one.

We've got a squad that can compete.. the only thing you've just proved is that Pep has spent more money than Jose. Oh and don't kid yourself in to thinking you've paid agents peanuts over the last few sugar daddy years.

Alexis would go to any of the top six in the PL and wins them the league, okay maybe not the scousers but you get my point
Wonder why he's never come remotely close to winning the league with a top 4 team (until this season where Sanchez led them to 5th)?

He should have won Arsenal the title the season Leicester won it, for me he went missing at the crucial time.

Chelsea will take aguero from city and City will take Sanchez from Arsenal while arsenal already have Lacazette and may go big for Lemar.

Everybody could, should have won it that season. It really was a clusterfeck of a season by all the big teams

I meant during the run in, after they beat Leicester

Aguero to chelsea is never happening. Still reckon Sanchez stays or goes Juve/Bayern

Still fail to see how his quotes yesterday have people claiming he only wants city. Thats complete nonsense.

"I think he'd fancy it here.

Do you mean in a team where he wont play anywhere near every game and with a manager who he has already been frustrated with?
Guardiola admits that he wasted Sanchez's talents in Barcelona but does tha mean that they can never work together again? Mata and Lukaku seem to be OK giving it a go.
Its true its only Chelsea United and City purely because of wages. I think the player may fancy United more but the Manager may say anybody but United.
Convenient deflection from the fact that City identified and worked on extracting an unhappy, hugely talented player from his current club. The plan may work, maybe not, but to even get to this stage is something of an achievement. Txiki, Pep and co. are getting the job done off the pitch at least. High hopes that they will replicate this when the season starts.
If Chelsea are in for him they are probably in the best position as Costa's replacement. But would Sanchez want to play for a London rival with the fans backlash?"

Show me where I wrote the above message you quoted me on you bullshit artist?

Ah so £250m is a chequebook manager but £210m is fine, good to know where your boundaries are. And we can agree to disagree on your squad, I don't think it's good enough to challenge for the title this year as it stands. There's not nearly enough goals in that side just yet.

Nope, I have always agreed with people who say that Jose is a chequebook manager but what annoys me is people who call Pep a revolutionary manager who has changed the game forever when in truth he has to spend shit tonne of money as well.

I respectfully disagree, last season we created plenty of chances to win games of football twice over, we just didn't take them. I hope now with Martial and Rashford being a year older and more experienced they can start hitting double figures and I'm confident Lukaku will score goals as well plus I'm probably one of a few who think without Zlatan we will do better in attack this season, at times he slowed us down to much and was far to static.

Did he spend a lot at Barcelona?

There's more evidence that United can compete than City so far, given that we actually won things last year, something your club hasn't done much of just yet.

You don't need to spend when you've got Messi and prime iniesta, xavi etc winning every match for you. You could've put fecking Moyes in charge of that team and even he'd win trophies.

But he did. People call him a revolutionary because he changed the way the game is played and thought. Same as with Michels, or Sacchi. Him spending money means nothing

Nah mate. I know some important people directly involved.

United will be launching a 60 mill bid soon.
Haha this shit keeps me going through summer without Proper footy, what with you and that aquire fella. Magic, keep it it up, makes me laugh.

Still the best GIF of Arsenal fans ever. You get something new every time you watch it. It's how I like to imagine them over Sanchez.

That game was really good but that celebration was better.

Depends how you want to view football I guess, I personally don't care much for pass pass pass pass pass pass pass.. he can only get to that level after spending loads of money so yes, it does mean something.

Who even plays Peps style if he's such a revolutionary?
That gets thrown around far too often, it seems teams are even going against possession based football for a quick transition approach..
Pep caught lightening in a bottle but having a style that needs world class footballers isn't revolutionary

He hasn't been promoted and he's hardly going the right way about it with those sort of daft posts.

Or he may have genuine inside knowledge (my inner muppet demands it:D).

Maybe I'm a bit thick but Thread Message #2444 seems to be from you?
If I'm wrong I apologise.

Yea but the message you quoted is not a quote from me, you edited it. Thus its not my post.
No I didn't edit it. I only pressed the "reply" button and quoted the whole post then added the text you see in bold type.
Any editing was done previously.
I think you should apologise for your aggressive tone and calling me a "bullshit artist" when all I've done is put forward my views in a civilised way.

Signing Perisic whilst City sign Sanchez would be fecking shit.

That will be entirely irrelevant to those who subscribe to the view that all that matter is who Jose wants. Perhaps their faith will be rewarded, and while it would be great if it was, I have serious doubts to say the least.

I have faith in Jose and whilst I somewhat agree that Jose should get the players he wants to fit his system.. I'm also a football fan with a decent level of intelligence who can see the difference in quality between Perisic and Sanchez and it isn't even close.
