Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

I believe saf confirmed in his book that he did place a call to Wenger in order to push the rvp deal through.

Yup, they did speak. Wenger said afterwards that he would only divulge the conversation after his retirement.

Money talks but Sanchez sniffed his nose up at a move to Liverpool who had just been squeaked out of a league win. Simply because he wanted to 'move to London'. Unless the money is obscene (which world class managers like Pep and Jose would never relent to because they are the reason they are world class managers not the money, right?) then he won't be wanting to go to rainy Manchester. Rainy Manchester and no CL after a few failed seasons of actually being in the CL and being p*ssed off about it.

He's wasted half his life at Barcelona playing a benched dickhead and then moved to Arsenal because of good ol' London Town because his head remained full of dick. Actually, I've answered the question. Yes he may very well go to Manchester Utd at 28 while Mourinho spends a few seasons getting back into the CL and being ready to win stuff just when he's....too old. Sounds like Sanchez. :D

Like the Murphy's, you sound bitter.

It showed? :) You've got to admit though for someone of his talent he sure knew how not to put it to optimal use other than for his country. I've always admired his football.

I'm waiting on what happens, mate...

I've always believed that Sanchez, really, should be United's number 7. If we go in with a huge bid - 80m or more, make him the highest paid player at Utd (which he should be), and he comes here. Then I love him, and I love him all the more for snubbing you previously.

If however he simply hops over to Chelsea to hoover up a few quick PL winners medals before buggering off the PSG or wherever, then make room for me at the bitter table my friend.

Mourinho would be mad to not contact him and see what's going on. At the very least we should be applying huge pressure on Arsenal to break their wage structure.

Arsenal should give us Sanchez since we gave them Cech only as he wanted to stay London. Their turn to return the favour now.

Fixed.

I repeat

Sanchez to Chelsea
Hazard to Madrid
Bale to United
Lucas Moura to Arsenal
If Madrid do sell any of their front 3, it's most likely going to be Benzema, with CR7 plaiying as Striker and Bale and hazard on the flanks

Out of interest, how much would you fellas be happy for us to pay if we got Sanchez?

With people, many people it seems, willing to defend the insane Pogba fee, how much would be too much for Alexis Sanchez...?

Me personally, Sanchez is in the category of as much as it costs, break the record again to get him, but would all of you also be in that camp?

Same. I don't think there's any possibility of him costing a world record amount, nor do I think he is "worth" as much, but, if that's what it took, I would be in favour.

It could take that for Wenger to sell to José.

If Chelsea bid, say 60m, and Sanchez was open to both moves, I honestly think Arsenal would rather lose 20m than sell him to Utd for 80m.

He'd go for about 40m, but not to us.

There would obviously be a price where Arse would sell to us, if we assume hypothetically that Sanchez was into the move.

What I'm asking is, how high would you be happy for that price to be.
Well he's got 1 year left on his contract and he turns 29 later this year, so £40m would be a good deal for all parties. Hard to say how high I'd want us paying for him as there's the argument that it's not my money, but I can't see him going for over £50m. He's not coming to United imo anyway.

Imo, this is exactly what's going to happen.
If I was real, I'd sell bale to us for crazy money and use that to buy Sanchez and sell benzena to whoever and buy hazard.

Hazard - Ronaldo - Sanchez would be as unstoppable as the Barca M-S-N

Arsenal would be stupid to sell Sanchez to us at any price , that would be even worse for them than when they sold us RVP.
My money is on him going to Chelsea.

I don't get the logic here. Why is it stupid to sell to us but selling to Chelsea is fine?

Is Sanchez better than Bale in your opinion? Bale's injury record is a concern but otherwise there's not much between them.

He'd go for about 40m, but not to us.
So a bid of 50m from us should do the trick. Give him 250k a week as well. But I think he'll choose Bayern if they bid for him. He seems to be a player who is desperate to win titles.

Chelsea bound. Sad to say, but I can't really see a single reason why would he choose United over Chelsea at this point - maybe money, but Chelsea can offer him very decent wages too. Brilliant player though.

He's in the last year of his contract. Arsenal can't really demand much. I would throw 40M + Januzaj + Smalling and get him here. And perhaps try and get Isco to rotate with Pogba & Herrera and Douglas Costa who could play anywhere in attack except striker. And lastly Fabinho or Ndidi, for Carrick's replacement.

Sanchez (looking to leave Arsenal)
Isco (looking to leave Real)
Douglas Costa (looking to leave Bayern)
Fabinho/ Ndidi (Would leave for United if they offered them a contract)

Its all about the cash and the champions league. Give him both and he stays.

At this point I think Sanchez is the better player overall and has a better injury record.

Bale turned us down at least twice, and we actually outbid Real. I dont think Bale wants to leave Madrid at all, especially to come to OT at this juncture

Getting Douglas Costa would completely change our attack, we havent had a proper winger like him in a long time, if he is available we need to be all over that

United and Arsenal are rivals for 6th to 3rd place. Chelsea are title challengers and don't really down at Arsenal's level.

That is going to change next season, I expect United to strongly challenge for the league title next year.

Is he available? why would they sell him?

Sanchez is definitely a better player than Gareth "I drop 6/10's week in week out and still play every game" Bale.

Ive heard multiple reports that he wants to leave for 1st team football, and while Bayern have Robben/Ribery, that isnt going to happen.
He is exactly the type of winger we need IMO

Robben is 33 and so is ribery and both are injury prone so i cant belive he wont get chances
