Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

And his cost?

When you're shelling out £90m for Paul Pogba and have just handed Jesse Lingard 100k a week 4 year contract, you don't ask how much for players like Sanchez - you hand them a blank cheque.

Given the above, I wouldn't give a feck if we spent 150m on Sanchez.

Just buy players who deliver, proper players. Sanchez is a proper fecking player.

Belongs in that 7 shirt. Always has.

United and Arsenal are rivals for 6th to 3rd place. Chelsea are title challengers and don't really down at Arsenal's level.
It's not like Chelsea have always been above Arsenal. They were 10th just last year. Selling to Chelsea and United are equally bad. Bayern, PSG and Juventus is where Arsenal will be looking to sell him if he doesn't sign a new contract.

For this season and Sanchez won't be playing for Chelsea this season, so this is a bizarre post.

Your obsession with Pogba is weird. So many cheap shots at the player and in threads that is no where related to him.

Handing 150m to Arsenal for a player on the last year of his contract sounds like a great deal for Arsenal imo, and a quick 'get out of jail for free' card. Great way to help a rival.

Must be a little fishing going on there duffer? Nobody quite knows what's going to happen next season but European football for the current top 6 is going to make it completely unpredictable. Also we have no idea what's going to happen in the transfer market.

150m
Before anything that crazy, any club would just tap him up, give him a 20-30m signing on fee and 300k wages and basically get a pre contract agreement for next summer.
No one is spending crazy money on Sanchez. 50m would be pushing it..

He's great player and I love to see him here but is he linked with us? or its just an other media hype.

Why don't we just burn money while we're at it.

Give him a 4 year deal and Rooney's wage. No way would he turn down that money.

150m? oh dear-youve had a mare there.

He's not even top 10 in the world player in my opinion.

Messi
Kroos
Suarez
Robben
CR7
Bale
Greazy
Modric
Neymar
Lewa

To be honest i'd have him the low teens.

He's in the last year of his contract. Arsenal can't really demand much. I would throw 40M + Januzaj + Smalling and get him here. And perhaps try and get Isco to rotate with Pogba & Herrera and Douglas Costa who could play anywhere in attack except striker. And lastly Fabinho or Ndidi, for Carrick's replacement.

Sanchez (looking to leave Arsenal)
Isco (looking to leave Real)
Douglas Costa (looking to leave Bayern)
Fabinho/ Ndidi (Would leave for United if they offered them a contract)
This

Cant see Sanchez or Costa signing but 1 can dream.

Am I the only one who doesn't really rate Sanchez. He is a good player but I just don't see him being this 80-120m player.

He seems to go missing in larger games and as much as he is busy and moves a lot, I never see him scoring shed tons of goals. Compare him to peak RVP for reference, he's not destroying teams left, right and centre.

Imh.

A mare, yeah...

The irony is that what I actually said is...

I didn't predict or state that's his reasonable worth - but we don't pay what players are reasonably worth, do we mate? Not in transfer fees or wages, we pay over the odds and we sit in 6th.

What I quite clearly said for anyone who can hold off their little green smiley button long enough to actually read a post properly, is that I wouldn't care if we dropped that on Sanchez. Why would I?

150m got us Pogba, Depay and Bastian. Would I trade that for Sanchez if it came down to it? Yes.

Would Sanchez alone make Man Utd better than what those 3 have brought combined thus far? Yes.

I'm viewing it through the lens of what we're actually 'having a mare' with - blowing HUGE money on 6th place.

My attitude is, if you wanna spend silly money, which make no mistake we are, spend it on things that'll at least almost definitely bring you proper success.

Hope that's a little easier to understand.

It would be a brilliant summer if we can get all these deals through. But I just don't see it happening.

What we have now,

Zlatan
Martial Mkhi Mata
Pogba Herrera
If we make these signings,

Zlatan
Sanchez Isco Costa
Pogba Fabinho

Some ridiculous comments in here, there will be some disappointed people in here regarding Sanchez. I don't think he is coming to us for a variety of reasons. 1) Arsenal will not want to sell to a direct rival again and especially not Jose, Wenger despises him. 2) Wenger has said that the stadium is paid for and they don't need to sell like they did in the past. 3) Sanchez wants to be competing at the highest level and winning trophies, this means league and cl. Can we offer and guarantee that right now. 4) He turned down a move to the north west of England before, Brendan character Rodgers said the reason he turned down Liverpool was for for geographical reasons, his family didn't want the move. I suppose London is more appealing, maybe he knew Liverpool would win nothing.

Nothing is certain in football and surprise transfers can happen, I just don't see this one working out. I think Chelsea is the most likely destination if he leaves for another English club. The stability having not to move from London shouldn't be underestimated. I think he will most likely be shipped abroad though. He's clearly not happy and with a year left this summer I expect him to move. The comment about offering 150m has to be one the dumbest things I've heard in here. I think anymore than 40m would be crazy, considering it's his last year.

A lot of posters are stuck to the 150 number and not understanding your point. But I agree with you - why worry about transfer cost when
a) the club has shown it is financially capable of throwing its might around

b) the on-field value of such a player is immeasurable and would be brilliant to have.

Now, Sanchez has the mentality I think would jive with United but I'm not sure about the 7...can't we just wait to give that to Griezman ;)

Robben is 33 and so is ribery and both are injury prone so i cant belive he wont get chances

He will definitely get chances at bayern, but he is talented enough to be a starter For a top tier side imo.

Arsenal fan tv would rack up Psy levels of views if that happened.

The Sun may be a shitstain rag but the Chilean newspaper Cooperativa that they quote has been DeMarzio standard regarding Chilean dealings previously.

Even that Cardenas guy reported this the other day, the same guy that first broke Bravo to us.
Can see this happening, Pep is a big fan, we can offer him top dollar and we have a bunch of very young wingers who won't mind rotating.

1. Bin off Rooney in the summer

2. Offer Sanchez Rooney's 300k a week wage

3. Offer Arsenal £60 million

4. Sign Sanchez

5. Wake up from my dream

Seriously we can't afford to let him join one of our rivals, if he goes abroad then fine but if he goes to city or Chelsea I'll be worried.

We need at least to try..

Would have always preffered him to ADM in the first place and was quite certain that Arsenal made the better deal back then!

UK journalists clearly been briefed he wants to come to City. The power of Pep !

Long way to go before it's signed and sealed though
