I would have been excited if you missed out adding that single word at the end of the article.
There's not a single source out there that people don't condemn. If it appears in a paper it is media rumour and should still be treated as such. I only ever put in newspaper and media sources in the threads. Tweets I save for the the twitter discussion thread. We're entering a Sanchez/Vidal news cycle which will carry on for the next few days.

99% of the content in the Daily Star is made up bollocks. They pick their news stories out of a hat and it's the same for transfers. It's like they've got one hat with the names of teams and another with the names of players. That's why I don't trust anything written in the Daily Star.

The Guardian, Times, BBC and PA are the only national news sources that I consider to be reliable.

Vidal, Sanchez, Strootman, Shaw and a centre-back would be a satisfactory summer window.

If we can't get him we should be looking at Griezmann in my opinion, would suit United. If not him we'll probably end up with Depay..

He's a very realistic target when it comes to star names. Makes a lot of sense for us to sign him. Hope there's something in it.

Not getting him, they will ship out Pedro and all the other deadwood wingers they have like Bojan, Tello e.t.c before him

Is there anything reliable at all to suggest that we're in for him? I've seen the Star article but is that it?

Great player and would be super for us

If he ends up somewhere like Juve for 18 million or whatever and we aren't in for him I'll be very pissed aff

You just know that any deal that seems conceivable, logical and sensible is just not going to come to fruition when United are concerned.

I don't know why I get drawn into this a it won't happen, but he really would be a stellar signing.

Last summers fiasco really has taken it's toll on the Caf, and rightly so, but as a club we are still right up there with the elite and Sanchez is the sort of player we should expect to sign.

Van Gaal is the polar opposite to dithering Dave and stated within days of taking the job he knows who he wants in, couple this with Woody's alleged desire to bring in a statement signing, we need to have a little faith, I'm sure this summer will be sensational.

Yeah, proper average players. Who are we Tottenham?
Fair enough, but as we all know we don't sign superstars do we. I can't see us signing anyone 'bigger/better' whatever you want to call it. Shaw will be our most expensive signing, and that looks dodgy now

Add that to the Vidal, Fabregas, Kroos, Schweinsteiger threads.

Time to face it, we're not a big draw anymore.

Agreed, we are still a big draw however.

These are just not realistic targets IMO, in the meantime im off for a wan* in the Pogba thread.

We've recently signed van Persie and Mata, worth mentioning. There's reason to think we're going to need to buy some superstars because Fergie has retired, our policy is bound to adjust somewhat to LVG.

But I agree we're not famous for buying superstars, rather creating them.

We are a massive draw stop talking pish. How do you think City got Nasri, Toure and Augero? Money talks and we have the wage structure to get any player in the world.

Indeed. The plethora of stars playing for PSG tells you how it is. They're not in an at best two horse league playing for a club because of its fine history.
