Was Sanchez rated so highly before the world cup. I even remember people calling him a misfit at Barca a few months ago.
Although it's not the thread to discuss Suarez, he is brilliant player etc. Are Barca fans excited with his signing? I guess Barca fans don't care much about his on field dodgy character.?

He's not a misfit now, his sale is less about him or his play and more about Lucho's plans. Plans I don't entirely agree with but he's entitled to his approach at this point
Ozil had a very below par first season. So nothing great yet.
There was a poster in this thread that seemed really sure that Arsenal would sign him for £35m after the World Cup before any of this blew up.
Perhaps he was a misfit 2 seasons back, not last season though, he played well.

The one Arsenal ITK who's never got anything wrong says that Sanchez to us has been in the pipeline for weeks and weeks, without Suarez being an issue. It's clear we're in pole position here but we've cocked these things up before.
If Arsenal actually spent the money they could I don't think they'd have any problem signing tip shelf players likeep this.

Sanchez would be a fantastic signing for us but it's it's far from being done. It does have very similar characteristics to the Ozil deal:
Real Madrid wanted Bale, sold Ozil to stump up cash. Arsenal took advantage, Spurs were weakened, Arsenal strengthened.
Barca want Suarez, selling Sanchez to stump up cash, Arsenal take advantage, Liverpool weakened, Arsenal strengthened.
Sanchez is suited to the Premier League IMO.

I remember the player not wanting to go to Liverpool and come to Arsenal. I also remember Moany preferring he go to Liverpool and there was only one team stupid enough to pay what Real was asking.... For a half season loan I don't think this is one you'd want to bring up.
He was great until he got injured and finished slowly. Hopefully some pace on the flanks helps him.

Ah bullshit, if he just wants to play in the CL and doesn't care about anything else he should stay at Barcelona or he could have gone to Liverpool aswell. We're one year out of it, we'll get back in it next year now that we have a decent coach again and are seriously strenghtening.
I don't understand why any top player would chose Arsenal if he could go to United. Arsenal haven't won the league in like a decade and yea Wenger talks about signing top players, but as soon as he spends his €40m on Sanchez we won't hear Arsenal again for the rest of the summer unless it is to sign some french player out of the ligue 2 or something. Arsenal doesn't have a squad to win the title and they don't have a coach to do it either, and they don't have the intention to change anything about that either, Sanchez is just a candy to keep the fans happy and next year y'all be celebrating again because you narrowly managed to get your yearly 4th place again. He won't win shit at Arsenal, he'll participate in the CL and then he'll get knocked out of it as soon as you reach the knock out stages, because that was Arsenal do, they participate in the CL and than get knocked out of it.
We're fecking Manchester United, we have won more silverware in the last decade than Arsenal did in the last 50 years. We have been in the CL all the time and have actually proven to be capabel of reaching the finals and actually winning the damn thing. We have had one drop out season, being managed by an absolute clown and now suddenly Arsenal is more attractive than Manchester United. Your post doesn't make sense. You should think before you speak. Not all players want to play for Utd...no matter how many trophies you've won. There are many other factors a player takes into consideration before he choses a club. Saying a player should rot and not win a thing because he didn't chose Utd is just as small minded as it comes.

You have to seriously lack ambition to make a move to Arsenal at age 26 when your good enough to play at the best clubs in the world. He'd be better off going to Juventus, atleast he'll win something there, and they all finish in the CL. God I hope if the prick joins you, this will finally be the year, you lot fail to qualify.

That is not it my friend, I want him to rot because he choses Arsenal over us. I wouldn't too much about if he joined Chelsea, City, PSG, Bayern, Real, hell even Juventus as I could understand the logic of going to such clubs. Handsome pay, realistic posibility to win trophies, it is equal or above what we can offer at United. But a club that has proven to be consitent losers and have no realistic chance at winning anything really significant over us, that is just a slap in the face for me. He already turned us down one time, but I could understand it because it was for Barcelona, I didn't agree with it because I always belived he wouldn't be appreciated there, but that was his problem. Now that he wants to move again and we're offering him another chance to join us, he turns us down again for fecking Arsenal. I'am sorry but for me that is just pissing on our club. We're not talking about a young player that choses Arsenal for the sake of more realistic chances at playing time or for less pressure in his devlopment, we're taliking about a worldclass player that must have the ambition to win silverware. I'am not saying he has to do at United, I'am not so arrogant as to think we should be the pinnacle of football, but we have proven to be superior over Arsenal in this league and in the CL for long enough that it can't and shouldn't be considered a coincedence anymore. Now I understand we messed up last year, big time, and I would understand players like that turning Moyes down with his project, but turning LVG down who has won trucloads more than Wenger having a project a club that has won truckloads more than at Arsenal, having truckloads of money more than Arsenal and actually having the genuine intention to start spending it contrary to Arsenal, that I can not comprehend. You make some valid points, but why are you so sure that we tried to sign hime? I get your frustration if he chose Arsenal our us because of champions league. Maybe we are not trying hard enough to sign hime, or we don't value hime as a player as much as Arsenal do.
