Alexis Sanchez | Signed for Arsenal

Cazorla just had a pretty poor season, I think he's on the decline. The hope was that him and Ozil would form an exciting attacking partnership but Santi never really got going, his shooting was off all year (though thankfully not in the cup final!) and he has an annoying tendency to hold onto the ball and try to dribble out of every situation. Would have no problems if Chamberlain and Wilshere got his minutes next season.

Wilshere's a huge talent but we can't just leave a spot in the team for him. More than anything he needs an injury free season, and to re-learn the basics of playing in midfield. His breakout's probably a year or two away.
I just would've thought that you guys would be one of, if not the busiest club as soon as the summer started. You have three glaring weaknesses in your side (DM, Striker, and RB) yet you're seemingly targeting Alexis Sanchez who plays in a position where you're already well stocked, if not overloaded in.

You see City, Chelsea, and ourselves go out fairly early in the summer and sign players but Arsenal don't really seem close to signing anyone.

 I'd sooner Arsenal over Liverpool.

Like I said in the Twitter thread, Arsenal are the only club I can think of that could possess both Ozil and Sanchez yet still not concern me.

Ballague named a couple clubs that are interested and United weren't in the list. I am disappoint.. :(

Ridiculously short sighted if true.Cannot understand how a 25 year old can value 1 season of CL over a good chance to actually win the thing aswell as the PL.Aswell as more money of course.

Exactly. What they really need are a striker, a right back and at least one midfielder with a set of bollox. They already have plenty skilful midgets.

Does rather dent the claims that Liverpool are now more attractive than other clubs though, doesn't it? Sanchez clearly doesn't fancy it.

Are you surprised? Their best season in years was a second place finish, also the reasoning behind their successful season is leaving.

Can't win them all, not exactly a priority position just now for us though to be fair.

It should be. Mata, Kagawa and Januzaj are all lovely players but we need a quality winger that will commit defenders.

Exactly. This always comes across bitter from United fans but Liverpool fans are going to receive one helluva reality check next season.

Arsenal won the FA Cup though. Don't forget they will also reach the knock outs of the CL every year as well as 4th place!

Sanchez is a great player but Arsenal still need a striker, DM, and a couple of defenders.
Moving Walcott up front will solve the problem for a few games, long term it will not work. I can see it already.

We should be trying to nix his Arsenal move, for sure.

We have no good wingers. Manchester United has no good wingers. Is a disgrace!

It's the 'living in London' thing, mate, I bet.

That's a load of Bollocks.Everywhere in England is a shithole compared to Barcalona. If he's willing to move to England, he won't care where.

Just depends what LvG is thinking I suppose he'll no doubt have a plan, if he thinks we need a new winger i'm sure we'll get one, but Janujaz, Mata, Valencia, Kagawa, Rooney, Nani, Young, and Zaha can all play there, some not very well admittedly!

Much as we would all like to see the back of Young, and to a lesser extent Nani they are going to be hard to sell on the wages they are on, can't just have them sitting around, added to that personally I think VG could make something of Welbeck as winger, that's alot of players!

Will be a briliant siging for whoever picks him up. Hopefully no one in the Premier League.

Maybe he also wants a central role which you could see him getting at Arsenal, keeping Giroud out of the team.

Ah I wouldn't mind seeing him moving to Arsenal to be honest, it'd be nice to see him every weekend without actually achieving anything.

Cazorla isn't on the decline. Someone who is as two-footed and as good on the ball doesn't decline A player like him has a hard time chasing wingers and full-backs when he's played out wide, he's just doesn't have the physicality for that kind of game.

Sod that, I prefer having the best players in our league. Sooner him come to the Premier League than go somewhere like PSG.

Well OK, I suppose wouldn't mind him signing for Leicester or summat...

If we can do a deal for Sanchez, then getting Vidal here is just a matter of convincing Juventus to sell, agreeing a transfer fee, agent fee, wage and convincing Vidal to move to us. Simples.

Been out all night, someone update me on what's happened?

We're 16/1 5th favourites to sign him after Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus and Athletico. Is this one dead in the water for us or do we know something the bookies don't?

Weather wise yes, if you're a millionaire there aren't too many cities better to live in than London. It is a far more attractive place to live than anywhere else in England.

Barca Radio saying United are out due to no CL. FCBarca or louvega could confirm this though as I've only read this (on a Gooner forum).

Still a rubbish excuse personally, football should be the main priority.

He's a good player and we do need better wide players than we have in Valencia, Nani and Young but tbh I can see why we wouldn't see that as a priority position this summer

Get midfield and maybe the defence sorted and surely Rooney, RVP & Mata will score/create enough goals

Idea scenario. We pay Juve for Vidal and they sign Sanchez with the money.

I figured the main reason he was even linked to Juve was because Vidal was there?

Only way he is going to arse over us is if we weren't interested.

We desperately need a quality winger. Our current time options are beyond shocking

It's also possible that Liverpool have told Barcelona in no uncertain terms that if they sell Sanchez to us they'll stop negotiations for Suarez.

They have not mentioned Alexis much lately other than him most probably not being part of the Suárez deal, a few days ago, and that the club is getting offers. By the way they talk it seems Alexis is going out, but no details, so they are probably speculating. No solid mention about United, CL, or Arsenal or anybody else.

I never have insider info of any kind only local radio (rac1), which are usually reliable when they mention ongoing transfer negotiations (not rumours), since they get their info from the club.
