Alexis Sanchez | Signed for Arsenal

You seem to know a lot about what Sanchez thinks.

You seem to think Liverpool finishing second last season will influence his decision.

It's not difficult to understand why a club like Arsenal would appeal more to a world class talent than a club like Liverpool. As I mentioned earlier, Liverpool fans don't share this viewpoint for an obvious reason.

Where is he nowadays? I haven't seen him on the forum for months?

Wait until August. Once Spurs have signed a dozen overhyped players he'll be here predicting title.

Because thats something I would do. If I would care about UCL, I would choose Arsenal, they can offer me more money, they are stable and consistent. If I only care about money, I would pick United, because United can offer the most. If I care about tradition, I would again choose United. Liverpool had amazing period 30 years ago (something around that). United was always there in last 20 years, always in competition for trophy. Yea, there were some seasons without trophies, but nothing compared to both Liverpool and United. And final, both Wenger and van Gaal attract better than Rodgers. Only thing Liverpool has ahead Arsenal is their history and somewhat more balanced team. Against United, Champions league. If you look all this things from my perspective, as I'm foreigner as well, I would not choose Liverpool, especially if they are going to sell Suarez, they best player. That would show some 'lack of ambition'.

What happens if Arsenal arent in for him and its between us and Liverpool, but he wants CL football?

If he's available I'd imagine all the big English sides would be interested in him.

That would be completely different scenario. If he only wants to join club who's in CL, then he would definitely choose Liverpool between them and United.

We all like different things. I'd rather live in Manchester over London. But that's just my opinion.
Places I'd rather live than London:
In order---
Manchester
Basra
Prison
Hell
Under a bridge
Leeds
Luis Suarez mouth
Hitlers right arse cheek
Liverpool
And if there was absolutely no other option than this or London, America

Of course it would have a bearing. Are you suggesting that had Liverpool finished outside of the top 4 last season they would have an equal chance of getting him? Nonsense.

Last season's finish is important. Liverpool's (and all other clubs') desire to finish in the top 4 is to do with additional revenue and the ability to attract better players.

Are Liverpool his favourite choice? Unlikely. Are Liverpool a bigger draw now they have CL football? Of course. Therefore, Liverpool finishing second last season may have an influence.

I made clear that Liverpool finishing second has as much bearing as United finishing seventh. It was one season, if you want to start comparing Liverpool as a non-champions league club to Liverpool as a champions league club then that's something entirely different. You were comparing Liverpool as a champions league club to other champions league clubs and a non-champions league club in United.

You knew fully the point was Liverpool finishing second doesn't mean anything due to their consistent past failures if other champions league clubs and a non-champions league club in United want him, you attempted to change the point of discussion because you can no longer successfully argue this point.

If Arsenal signed Sanchez and a good RB replacement (I heard Aurier being touted) and if they sign a top class striker I think they could take the league next year, bearing in mind Ozil has a better season, Ramsey stays fit and they get some good signings.

When? Quote me.

You've created an argument out of what you think I said rather than what I actually said. See below to what I said about Sanchez and potentially joining Liverpool.
While Liverpool may not be Sanchez's number 1 destination it does offer him CL football at a club who finished 2nd last season so their is some currency in the Liverpool option. Added to that may be the behind-the-scenes stuff that may force Sanchez's hand.

My post is measured, doesn't mention other clubs and suggests Liverpool probably aren't Sanchez's first choice. The bit in bold is merely claiming that given their current situation Liverpool are not off the table. Nothing more nothing less.

Yet you have responded based on the idea that I was using last season's finish as reason he would choose Liverpool over others. You've invented the whole basis for your ire.

Will be so funny when he is playing for United next season wearing the number 7 shirt. cant wait. RAWK

Not sure if he will be wearing the #7 but I am sure by the end of August somebody very exciting will be wearing it....Sanchez, Cuadrado or Di Maria... its all good to me.

If this is from the same stable of certainly that assured us all that United would be above Liverpool by January then I'll embrace this prediction with great enthusiasm.

Yeah, but I've got a feeling that this is our year.

If Liverpool manage to get money + Sanchez for Suarez then they have got a brilliant deal. Not only is Alexis an awesome, dedicated player but you won't see him go round biting people. He is very potent on the attack, alongside Sterling they can add a pacey, direct approach to slaughter teams.

I've asked this before and I'm not sure anyone answered, but where does Sanchez play when Walcott returns? They both play most effectively on the right wing, right?

For a RB, they should sign Serge Aurier. Younger than Sagna, could be better.
Sanchez would fit right into Arsenals system, all they need really is a top top striker to replace Girouid. Perhaps Cavani ?

They could play Sanchez as a forward, like Chile do. Worst comes, sell Walcott in favour of Sanchez. Simples.

Sanchez is at his best in the middle really, playing off a front man. He's played mostly on the right at Barca but for Chile he was at centre forward. I imagine our first choice front line would look something like this if he came:
Giroud
Sanchez-Ozil-Walcott
With Ozil drifting wide to cover the space when one of the wingers comes into the middle... we'd probably be too open to the counter like that though. Would be interesting to see Sanchez or Theo get a run of games up front.

*Necessary anti-jinx after posting rumoured signing in a team formation!

So that means both Cazorla and Wilshere on the bench more often than not? Wilshere I can understand but surely Cazorla is too good to be a bit part player?

Cazorla just had a pretty poor season, I think he's on the decline. The hope was that him and Ozil would form an exciting attacking partnership but Santi never really got going, his shooting was off all year (though thankfully not in the cup final!) and he has an annoying tendency to hold onto the ball and try to dribble out of every situation. Would have no problems if Chamberlain and Wilshere got his minutes next season.

Wilshere's a huge talent but we can't just leave a spot in the team for him. More than anything he needs an injury free season, and to re-learn the basics of playing in midfield. His breakout's probably a year or two away.

It's all about having quality in depth. We call saw what happened to them when a few of their good players dropped like flies on the injury table...they collapsed. At the end of the day, you can't compete over a 38 game season, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup without a deep squad and proper rotation. Even though Cazorla isn't guaranteed a start, he can still be effective off the bench or in games where other players need rest or are nursing injuries.

Wenger won't sell Walcott, he's integral to his attack up front. They truly missed him last season.
