Alexis Sanchez | Signed for Arsenal

Watching him, then remembering who our wingers are, really really hurts.

If we don't get him and he goes to Liverpool I think I might cry :(

I reckon he'd hit 20 easy in the Prem....so losing 10 goals at the cost of £40-50m is brilliant for Liverpool. Genuinely likeable too, he's a worker too. Yep, would hate him there.

The more I see hime play the more I think it's all media bull, he will stay with Barcelona.
It's old article but they clearly don't want to sell hime.

However, Barca have gone public to end the speculation and warn clubs to not bother enquiring about his availability during the close-season.

"Alexis is not a Barcelona player who is on the market," the Catalan club's president Josep Maria Bartomeu announced.

"He has a contract with us and that is the only thing that counts. He has had an excellent season for us.

"Obviously, he is part of our plans for next season. We have always wanted him here and he is a highly valued player at this club."

Juventus are reported to have made a formal enquiry about Sanchez, but Bartomeu insisted that they have not had any contact with the Serie A champions.

"We do not know anything about the interest from Juventus," he continued.

"Nothing official has reached us. For that you would have to speak to the player's agent.

"I read so many things these days about the summer transfer market; there are so many stories that I think it is best not to comment at all."

Sanchez, who is set to play a key role in Chile's campaign at the World Cup in Brazil, joined Barcelona in 2011 from Udinese for €26million (£21.1m).

If he comes to United, I will make love to a rabbit.

I have read he's a United fan so we should at least bid for him and see what happens.

@Sherzad Barcelona will have to sell someone. They aren't going to have Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Pedro, Sanchez, Tello and Deulofeu. At least one of the first five names will have to be sold and it won't be Neymar or Messi and Suarez would be a new signing.

If I was Liverpool I'd try to force Sanchez to be a part of the deal. They aren't going to get a better player to replace Suarez with money alone than him.

Hopefully Sanchez would rather go to someone else though.

I'd say at least 2 in that group will have to move on, especially if someone like Saurez comes

He is going to Arsenal. I mean if somebody else comes in and blows them out of the water, it could be different, but everything points to him being an Arsenal player next year.

Sanchez, Özil, Walcott, Ramsey ... they'd have a great core.

This is not the first time reports coming out of France that Arsenal are going to sign someone and it is false.

He's been pure class this World Cup. One of the most influential players.

It will be Arsenal IMO, they can offer the best package... big wages, London life, Champions League, top class manager. Unfortunately for some players you need to be playing in Europe, we can thank Gollum for fecking that one up.

I don't get this Champions League rubbish.. what's to say this time next year we are in it and they aren't? suddenly it looks like the wrong choice. Also I'm sure given how Arsene goes about his business we will offer him the best wage and let's be honest, that's what most of it comes down to these days. Oh and also, Manchester isn't a bad place to live you know (well the places the players live anyway) so I don't get this London is amazing blah blah blah

When has buying a player off his World Cup performance ever worked out well?
Plenty of times... Especially when it's a player everyone knows is top class anyways, and is only being sold because he doesn't get along with Messi apparently. I mean he had around 20 goals and 15 assists last season as a winger who wasn't first choice all the time. When do you see somebody like that be sold for the prices being quoted? He's worth over 40m easily, and Barca are getting rid just to fund other transfers.

There is a wage beyond which Arsene Wenger won't go past, if we take them head on and go all in for him we can easily blow them out of the water.

I don't understand it either.
Arsenal are in it yes, but they generally don't make much of a fist of it, so who cares!

And the OOOH London bit is annoying as well, bearing in mind the player wouldn't be living in some Moss Side chav estate!
