I wouldn't care it still weakens them. When has Sanchez suddley turned into this amazing world beater. His a very good player like a lot of footballers.
He's a very good footballer with the ability to be world class and one of the best wingers around in the right system. For chile he's world class without a doubt. 50m + Sanchez would strengthen them I think.

RVP
Januzaj-Mata-Sanchez....

RVP would score 35, especially under LVG. If we could get Carrick and Vidal behind them, that would be amazing.
That is my ideal forward line for next season. I would sell Rooney and sign Sanchez.

They would be losing a world class striker. Sanchez will not replace what Suarez provides all round. I would be more than happy if this happened.

That's a Champions League quality front 4 and midfield.

And that is why that won't happen this Summer. It's hard to imagine players of Vidal and Sanchez' quality dropping out of the CL for us.

Who'd buy him with that salary? Unless City are interested and you'd want to do business with them...
I wonder if Rooney is not in LVG's plans would he take a pay cut to galvanise his career at a new club as opposed to being RVP's back up.

I don't see why they'd have a problem with one season out of the top four. We're not a team who have suddenly popped up with some cash. we had a blip but we've still got some quality players and some excellent young players coming through and just brought in a very well known and respected coach. Tbf worst case scenario if they were that fussed we should put some release clauses in if we don't get CL football next year, am sure that's do-able. But in general I can't see it being that big an issue.

Replace Sanchez with Rooney and that front four is still incredibly strong. Definitely strong enough for top 4 and a title challenge.

It is what is behind them that needs money spent on.

Yeah but that line up has so much more balance to it imo. But agree the priority should definitely be midfield. Still if he is available then you'd have to hope we were interested.

Liverpool will be weaker almost regardless if they sell Suarez - yes they can strengthen other positions BUT...

a) They would lose perhaps the best striker in the world right now
b) They would lose a striker who has made Sturridge 20% better
c) They would lose a striker who is tailormade for the way Liverpool play...

So even if they get Sanchez and £50 million - I am convinced Liverpool would be a weaker side next season without Suarez

But £30m or whatever it takes is a lot for a relatively small upgrade to the team.

Spend an extra £30m on the midfield and overall the team would be much better.

I'd say it'd be a big upgrade. A player like Sanchez can actually provide from wide and give the striker/s something to work off other than scraps which has been the case for too long and he offers variety being a threat down the line and coming inside which also plays to the strengths of someone like Mata.

Tbh I think right now we only need one key signing in the middle. Get a top class player there and maybe a younger squad player and I think we're sorted for next season given we're only playing domestically. We should prioritize getting that key central midfield signing but I think we need 1/2 defenders and need to add a winger as well. If there's still cash available after that then getting another midfielder would be good but I don't think it's an immediate necessity. Then hopefully if things go well then next summer we can look on upgrading the midfield further.

If we're keeping Carrick as first choice, then it needs to be in a 4-3-3 imo. Look at how Pirlo is used, he's finished in a 2 man midfield for us, at least i hope he is. I'd much rather we did something like this:

------Carvalho--Strootman--------
Sanchez-----Mata---------Januzaj
-----------Van Persie-------------

Vidal is a tad optimistic i think. Carrick could be the deepest in a 3 man midfield, but then we lose the ability to play Mata or Rooney as a number 10.

This would be a great team. I think Rooney would be good where Mata is as long as he is happy to play in midfield and leave the striker role to RVP.

Carrick ----------------- Vidal
--------Mata/Rooney--------
Sanchez-------------------Januzaj
-----------RVP------------------, it is possible. Their are 4-3-3's with the most central player as CVM, and the 2 wider ones as cm/cam, but you can also put your most central midfielder as 10/cam and the wider ones as CVM/CM

I still don't think even Vidal has the legs to cover Carrick here. Mata isn't going to do much of a shift in the midfield, it's basically 4231.

@DiMarzio: Sanchez, il Liverpool insidia la Juventus. E Suarez… http://t.co/jND6gzw2tG

@stuffliverpool: @dimarzio: #LFC are very interested in signing Sanchez, it’s more than just an option - they are a serious threat to Juventus now.

Please.

Who needs Sanchez when we've just extended Valencia's contract :(

This seems to be in keeping with the trend of late. We can't keep ceding in terms of quality to our rivals and insisting of competing our way, which is perhaps nor based on having better players than the rest.

This is why many of our fans feel we don't deserve top players or have some sort of inferiority complex perhaps.

This, the love in for Sanchez on the Caf is incredible.

I'm not entirely sure where it's come from, particularly since there's nothing to suggest we're even in for him as we are yet to be linked by anyone reliable. He's obviously a good player, but he's not really reached the heights he did at Udinese while at Barca, and while he's played well in both WC games, it's not like he's the tournament stand-out or anything (he's not been as good as Cuadrado for example). I'd obviously be pleased if we signed him, but he's just one of a number of good wide players who might potentially be available this summer.

Getting Sanchez and losing Suarez. Not an ideal deal for outsiders but atleast that shit cnut is gone.

If he was so damn good, why would Barcelona even entertain the idea of selling him?

He's one of the most reliable people regarding transfer rumours (I'm not just saying that because he linked us with Sanchez, I posted the same a couple of days ago).

He literally just tweets all day with transfer news. I stopped following him after it became apparent he was just making stuff up.
