Alexis Sanchez | Signed for Arsenal

He has been good but still nowhere near as good as he can be, and that won't change I think. Messi is the main man and everyone there is built around him (for good reason obviously), but Sanchez's creativity will always be stifled there. He's a good goalscorer for them but he can be so much more, he could be one of the best wingers in the world given the role he has for Chile.
Imagine this front 4:

van Persie
Januzaj Mata Alexis

Have we been linked with Miranda?
Pretty sure I saw the caf retweet something about him coming to us. Something like a 21m fee I think, though no idea if there's any truth to it obviously.

Edit: Wasn't the caf but I saw it somewhere. It's probably in the twitter thread.
Actually here you go

Just pure sex.

Van Persie
Januzaj -------------Alexis
Vidal ----Mata
Blind
Evra - Evans - Miranda - Rafael
De Gea
when it starts getting sense you put Blind and Miranda in, hope we never sign them average overated palyers..

ball control level Sanchez, with the balance pace and football brain he has hes one of the best players in the world, if only we signed him! forget reus

You have to be realistic, but Blind would be great I think. He's a very intelligent and versatile player, still young, very composed, knows LvG and we can't sign loads of world class players. Don't think there's any chance at all for Vidal either but just put it in there for shits.

Miranda is an excellent center back though and his experience and already being the finished article is what we need at the back.

Don't be daft. He's nowhere near that bracket.
The way he plays for Chile, it's not a push saying he could become the best winger in the world. Has it all and is a very intelligent player and strong as well. Only 25 too.

No he isn't. He played for an excellent team this season under a good manager, just like Costa.

The idea guys like Sanchez who could improve united if there is no place for him at barca, could be available but we won't sign him. Just like Arjen robben in 2009, when we lost Ronaldo.

Sanchez? Possibly available, but he won't be signed

The reality? Valencia and young continue to get games next season

Nice.

I'd even be happy with:

van Persie
Januzaj -- Mata --Alexis
Vidal -- Strootman
Shaw-- Evans -- Vermaelen -- Rafael
de Gea
I'm getting a bit carried away but I don't think that is too unrealistic. Blind could be very good for us too given that LvG has shown that he knows how to get the best out of him.

Tuttosport have been at it for weeks. The Turin newspaper are pushing the Juventus campaign to sign Alexis Sanchez and insist that he doesn't want to go anywhere else, Manchester United specifically. They've said he doesn't want to move to England because of the weather, that he misses Italy, even that his girlfriend (who has Italian heritage) will prove an obstacle Louis van Gaal can't overcome. They've been quite smug about it too.

However, reports coming out of Chile say that's all wrong. Chilean journalist Rodrigo Norambuena has explained that Sanchez would like to move to England and would even prefer the Premier League to Serie A. That won't be what Tuttosport want to hear.

Juventus are said to be close to agreeing a price as they up their bid by about a million Euros a day according to Italian press. Manchester United are one of the teams stated as being interested and one of the reasons for a Barcelona exit is a frosty relationship with Lionel Messi.

It's claimed that Messi hasn't celebrated Sanchez's goals with him on occasion and that's an example of what is wrong between the two men, because of this the Chilean has asked his agents to arrange a move this summer.

Juventus are trying the hardest but, according to this claim, Sanchez wouldn't turn down Manchester United, as had been claimed in Italy. Quite the opposite, England appears to be his first choice.

I don't see it myself. Even tonight when he's had a good game, I just don't see that real top quality. I've never once seen him take a team apart like I have Robben and other similar players. When you compare thos two, Robben is on a whole different level.

Fantastic again, I think he'd thrive for us like he does for Chile, his all round game is so good and he has the engine needed to help out defensively. If we don't at least try for him I'll be baffled.

Sounds promising. I think if he is moving to the premier league, he would choose us over Liverpool, Arsenal etc....Hopefully.

The annoying thing if he wants to come to England, you get the feeling we won't be one of the contenders to sign him, who could improve united's wide options

Robben is 5 years older though. He's definitely got star quality and room to improve, but his decision making and overall creativity seems top notch, which obviously improved a lot during his time at Barca. He has all the attributes to become a truly world class winger too, and United is definitely the type of club that lets wingers shine. Reus isn't going anywhere, neither is Robben. After that, who is there? Di Maria and Bale but neither are going anywhere either. Sanchez on form like whenever he plays for Chile is definitely up there with the rest.

I think RvP is a better number 9 and Mata a better number 10 and I don't think Rooney plays well enough on the wing so he's not in my ideal forward line-up.
Fair enough, but he would soon be "angry and confused"

I think I posted in another thread a few weeks ago that he's fairly likely to become "angry and confused" at some point before the end of September anyway.

Probably, got too big for his boots a while back.
Think Fergie would've sold him last summer.

Lets pray he plays well against Holland so LvG somewhat notices him. Lets hope he makes that final push which will make LvG think "I want that guy!"

Class for the second time, if he keeps this form up through the World Cup and ends up being one of the Players of the Tournament, then Barcelona can easily sit back smugly and wait for the £35 million + offers coming in, because he is raising his stock massively right now. Those £20 million estimates thrown around before the WC start were an absolute steal, and one I did not believe for one second in.

If Barcelona doesn't want to sell him, he'll go nowhere, if the new trainer has no plans for him and he can leave (which seems to be the mainstory the media is going by) than we have a chance but we'll have to battle it out with Juventus. Media reporting Sanchez prefers Juventus over us but Juve is cash strapped and can't match the asking price of Barcelona. I'd say just bid £30m for him and raise Barcelonas expectations in terms of the money they could for him. Again I say if he is available Barcelona was probably waiting for the world cup to stall out his assets and get more money for him, that is exactly what we should give them, more money, if we do that Juventus will give up, they have no financial means to compete with us if we go in the area of £30m signings, no way Barcelona would sell him to them if they have that kind of offer on the table.

Barcelona needs cash, they want to rebuild the squad, they have signed Ter Stegen, they also want Bravo, they signed Mathieu and Rakitic, they want Higuain and would like to try for Aguero and they have been linked with interest in Reus, Turan, Koke and are also in advanced talks for Cuadrado, on top of that they'll also want to add a topclass centreback and are keen on Marquinhos, Benatia and Mirranda, and they have also been interested in Vidal, Martinez and Pogba. ofcourse they won't even sign half of these names, but it is clear indication they want to spend and rebuild the team, Pedro, Song, Alves, Cuenca, Tello, Sanchez and Fabregas are the players they want to make money from to realise this. In that case we can really get Sanchez if we offer them a big transfer price (£30m-£35m). Add an increased for Sanchez and offer him more than Juve would and he could be our player.
