It's weird though, because a few years ago I went along to an event where he was speaking about his latest book on Ronaldo and afterwards spoke at length about several issues at the time and took questions from the floor. I have no idea why he comes across so smug/cnut-ish on social media. I think you're right and he is heavily pro-Barcelona and Madrid therefore will always defend those clubs' POV's, and by extension Pep. But he comes across so arrogant and off-handed when discussing other English clubs and it's uncalled for really, I mean FFS that last tweet really is laughable.

Balague is a bitter man. Like money is the only reason he would come here instead of City. We are a bigger club than Man City and it's not like they are short on money. They can outspend any team in the world and if they aren't willing to match United's offer then it's clear they aren't serious in pushing through a deal now.
