Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

Assuming we are actually in for him -- Doesn't the fact that he's a lot less influential on the right as he is on the left concern people?
He doesn't, he's just incredibly pro Barca (Pep, obviously) and Madrid that he doesn't see a world outside them. Everything he says has a pro-Spanish slant, literally everything.

He's a joke.
His English team is very much Liverpool too.

Conte chipping in with his opinion as well. Funny how Abramovich has been quiet, a Hazard-Morata-Alexis front three would be quite fearsome.

It's weird though, because a few years ago I went along to an event where he was speaking about his latest book on Ronaldo and afterwards spoke at length about several issues at the time and took questions from the floor. Quinton Fortune was a guest too and I thought they both spoke really well and offered interesting and well thought out points, on all football related chat. I have no idea why he comes across so smug/cnut-ish on social media. I think you're right and he is heavily pro-Barcelona and Madrid therefore will always defend those clubs' POV's, and by extension Pep. But he comes across so arrogant and off-handed when discussing other English clubs and it's uncalled for really, I mean FFS that last tweet really is laughable.

Yeah I think the Liverpool thing only came about due to Rafa, again, simply pro-Spanish.

He's a tit.

I literally hate Balague. What have we done as a club that offends him so much? At the end of the day if Sanchez was only moving for trophies why is he asking for a massive signing on fee and £400k per week, which is the stumbling block for his move to City?

Balague's previous:

De Gea will move to Real Madrid
Pogba will move to Real Madrid, then when he signed for us it was because he was offered more money
Lukaku only interested in Chelsea
Griezmann doesn't want Manchester United, now he wants Barcelona.

Balague is a bitter man. Like money is the only reason he would come here instead of City. We are a bigger club than Man City and it's not like they are short on money. They can outspend any team in the world and if they aren't willing to match United's offer then it's clear they aren't serious in pushing through a deal now. We look the ones with more intent currently and perhaps that will appeal to Sanchez.

Jesus to be back within 2 weeks according to the live feed on the Beeb website, could impact the need for City to spend the ££'s now.

Ball bag is pro Spanish but to a nauseating degree. He will have connections to Pep as when Guardiola first became City manager he was tweeting about his first trip to Manchester to go and interview him.

By the time he plays for City in the derby I am going to truly despise the curled-lip glove wearing oily haired cnut. That said, hope he signs for us.

Has it ever happened before that a club has paid significant money for a player with 6 months left on his contract?

Reading that Luckhurst report, football's governing bodies really need to step in and somehow cap agent fees. It's become completely unsustainable. Absolute robberies.

Pretty much how I see it. He is a cnut but hopefully he will be our cnut.

I guess with Jesus out they have a need at the moment and there has been a lot of rumors that Augero might go in the summer - and sanchez would seem to fit the pep model of a no9/ striker (messi , Jesus) so I guess it depends how much he believes he would be involved

Since when did a player being injured for 2 months mean you needed to buy another player. City can't find room for so many top players even with Jesus injured. They are 15 points ahead in the league. If they need more players then I guess each club need another 10 signings this window.

Agreed, it's just money directly leaving football for no good reason.

Agents are pure parasites, at all levels. As an aside, the stuff you see going on in youth football in Dublin is disgraceful, and parents swallow it while. It's really sad.

well aguero has been known to pick up injuries pretty regularly and Jesus has done his ligament right which again is an injury that is best not to rush people back from

8 pages in 3 hours. This has all the makings of an excellent muppet thread.

Ballague despises our club for some reason. He is a bitter and absolutely shite journalist and his tweets should be banned on this forum, or only used for mocking purposes.
