This transfer will be like a chokeslam.

Hope lifted and walking in the clouds in excitement before being hurled into the ground only to realise the agent was getting City to speed up their best offer.

Imagine if the sale of Sanchez to us is dependant on Mkhitaryan going the other way, but he refuses to join Arsenal...

He'd be another Rosicky or Arshavin. One good game against Liverpool, then shit the rest of the time

This would be his last chance at a really big club though

Oh yeah I don't doubt he'd be a good signing and I'm happy to admit that I'm fickle enough to flip my opinion on him in a short period of time if he signed for us but his actions at Arsenal have been childish, disrespectful and unprofessional.

Sky Italia are reporting that we're close to agreeing personal terms.

⚽ the United ️ it is close to the economic agreement with Sanchez. Then it will be with Arsenal for January! @SkySport

Once again, SkySport Italy got their info from DiMarzio who works for them. Nothing new. Same yesterday when that hashish guy reported that we had entered negotiations.

Textbook how to earn a credible reputation like that Juve fan account:

1. Post stuff from "credible" journalists
2. Get a blue ticker
3. Answer muppets that are thirsty for info

Seriously guys, that guy is just a fan account that can read and translate Italian newspapers. Half of his followers is probably United fans after the Vidal and Pogba sagas.

Problem here is Di Marzio seemingly gets his source from the agent. Sanchez agent wants ££. He gets City to give more ££ if he stretches the truth somewhat in the United offer. I still think hel be at City.

I appreciate Di Marzio isn't great on English, can someone clarify by "his agent wants deal with United and he doesn't want?"

His agent have spoken to United, so why wouldn’t he want it? Or something to that effect.

Essentially saying there would be no communcation if there was no interest from the player. But we’ve been here before..

IMO, either we sign him this window, or city sign him in the summer.

He seems utterly confident that we are in pole position though. Not even bothering to mention City in the past few tweets and highlighting that he called the Pogba, Ibra and Mkhi signings.

Some positivity perhaps.

Yeah, he kinda revealed his source there, even if everyone else suspected it in the first place. I don't doubt that the agent fed this info to DiMarzio, I just think that the agent's agenda is to put pressure on City.

I guess we'll know when/if Mou shuts down this rumour later today.

or maybe we've got another Lukaku case here ie United managing to steal a talent away from an overconfident and therefore sloppy competitor

He says we are in lead now but things always change in the same tweet. He said it's all about %s and as it stands we lead. That's probably because City havent put their best offer forward yet, but they will and it will probably match ours at the 11th hour.

City probably have no reason to sweat. They can wait see what the deal is and then offer when it's clear what's what.

Thing is I saw Lukaku as an Abramovic feck up which Conte was pissed off about after. I see Pep and Tixi being far more efficient in the matter.

Please guys, help- i can't see tweets anymore and in this full muppet situation it is mind blowing for me. Any ideas?

I'm with you here, I have reservations over his attitude while acknowledging he's a good player who'd improve us. I just don't like it when we sign players with a bad attitude - for example, was happy to see Tevez leave.

Will be as happy as anyone if he's scoring for us against Stoke on Monday night, but have reservations right now.

As opposed to us maybe being super efficient in both? Couldnt possibly happen could it?

He does seem to value his credibility though so I'd like to think he must have confirmed it with someone our side.

I'd assume there's truth to our interest and we have discussed terms but i still expect him to decide on City.

Di Marzio said we are in the lead at the moment but caveats that things can change.

Tweet said we're now ahead but source was Alexis' agent. So now we're back to thinking that this is a ploy to get City to act faster.

Not gonna get sucked in.

Our pitch should be: more guaranteed playing time and more money

City pitch would be: as close to guaranteed trophies as possible, Pep and relatively only slightly less money.

Worth noting that, even if we do manage to convince Sanchez to choose us over City, we'd still be reliant on Arsenal signing someone for them to agree to this move. Relying on Arsenal being active in the transfer market is what Arsenal fans have been doing for over 10 years now. Look where its's got them.

Yup, I can't see any other reason why the agent will be consistently pushing this story out there other than to force City's hand.
