From Chile: Sanchez urged to sign for Manchester United – ‘Alexis, go with Mou’ for revolution
Sport Witness Team17th January 2018
Even the Chilean press have had enough. La Tercera start an article today with: ‘Chapter 4.825 of a series that becomes tedious: where will Alexis Sanchez play?’

If it’s up to Rodrigo Sepulveda, a journalist with the Chilean newspaper, it’ll be Manchester United.

In an open letter to the Arsenal player, Sepulveda urges him to sign for Jose Mourinho, explaining why it’s the right choice to make right now.

La Tercera title the article ‘Alexis, go with Mou’, and Sepulveda explains: ‘Leave the passivity and seek the madness. Get out of Wenger’s mind and go for genius. Leave the “professor”, the “economist”, and go for originality. You already went through Pep, he already directed you, now there’s dreams of Jose’s revolution.

‘The Special One can transform you. Superb, presumptuous, insolent, but a tremendous coach. Alexis, go ahead and win.’

The Chilean journalist watched Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over Stoke City on Monday and imagined where Sanchez would fit in, clearly excited by the possibilities on offer for the national hero.

Sepulveda insists Sanchez shouldn’t decide his next destination on money alone, and put forward a strong case for Manchester United: ‘You have Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City at your feet. All huge powers and celebrated worldwide. Where should you go? If I were your advisor, I would say: go to United and choose the number 7 shirt. That number that’s been so successful for the Red Devils: Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best and Bryan Robson. They’re second in the Premier League, one of the largest teams in the history of world football.

‘City is powerful economically today, but the legend is United.’

Rodrigo Sepulveda should be popular among Manchester United fans, then.

Mkhi not in any of the pics with the two NFL lads United just posted from training. Doesn't mean he didn't train but looks like they deliberately didn't include any photos with him.

I don't know if it's been touched on but you have to think it will be pleasing for Jose if he manages to take Wenger's best player.

I agree, but importantly Mkhi doesn't think he failed. He likely thinks he has been let down, publically humiliated and badly managed by his manager. I don't agree with that but his agent definitely does.

His agent thinks he can get another 30K out of Arsenals billionaire just like Sanchez's agent thinks he can get another 100k plus from our hedge fund managers. It doesn't make him a bad person he is not taking it from a charity.

well then he's not just a money pinching cnut but also a deluded one at that. If I was Arsenal's owner I wouldn't want him anywhere near to my club. Let Mou handle him. They do well on that regard....just ask Bastian.

It can't be close if he has turned up for training.

If you were looking for a club to "pay what it takes" to get something done, Arsenal would surely be near the bottom of the list. On top of that, we've got Raiola involved (not a man known for caving-in early in negotiations).

Long way to go yet, I would have thought.

While I see what you're saying, I doubt you're right. I think it's in Arsenal's interest, in United's interest and in Sanchez' interest to get this done quickly. The only ones who may benefit from drawing it out are Mkhitaryan and Raiola. But, even then, I don't think they have enough to gain. I expect this to be sorted before the weekend.

No sign of Mkhitaryan on those team photos, let's hope he emptied his locker and fecked off to London.
ye i looked on the MU official insta, and the players were visited by some NFL Stars and nearly everyone who is not injured was there except Mkhi

Miki left Dortmund in controversial circumstances. It looks like he might also be leaving Old Trafford in controversial circumstances.

Anybody think we will still make a big summer signing such as dybala or griezmann if we get Sanchez ? I’d say Sanchez will play 10 or Rw, praying he doesn’t sacrifice martial for Sanchez , he’s having a brilliant season . He has the same amount of assists as Sanchez and one more goal with no where near the same amount of minutes = maturing

Not really liking the way he seems to have alienated his team mates at Arsenal.

I wouldn't be happy playing with someone who has his mind set at joining a rival team either. Don't know if he really made himself impossible.

That depends on his form...it's up to him, but it's not like Jose will throw him in the reserves or make him train with the kids...

And do you think that he can play calmly in front of the OT ground from now on!?

If he's intelligent he's got to chose his ONLY way out.

I'm sorry for him.

why do arsenal insist on getting mkhi and not just take 30 million, they screwed up during the summer not taking 60 million for him as they wanted sterling thrown in but keeping hold of sanchez hasn't done sod all for their top 4 chances so far this season and very much doubt them being stubborn once again and keeping sanchez for the rest of the season will have much of a positive impact on their top 4 chances seeing as sanchez's is not going to break sweat for arsenal with his heart not in it and to make sure he's injury free for the world cup and his mind already set on his next move.

I'm just sitting here waiting for journos to say that there has been a breakthrough in the negotiations between Raiola and Arsenal. I feel like things will move quickly from there.

Going for lunch now, hope in one hour, one I am back, we have more reliable news regarding this!

Btw, Mkhi looks quite furious in that picture.. Not sure if he'll train today or he'll just go to pick up his things and go..

Don't think there is going to be any today..Surely Mkhi wouldn't have attended training if this was any where near completion!!

So?

Those teammates are mostly made up of underachievers and mental midgets so obviously they don't get along with someone with a competitive and winning mentality like Alexis

Not to mention that he's made it clear to them that he feels like he's a level above the club which is kinda true

Still baffled why Arsenal would ask for a straight swap instead of a cash deal? They're literally giving us their best player for an out of favour Mkhitaryan.
No, they're exchanging a player they'll lose in a few months for an out of favour (here with Mourinho, but who could very well excel there with Wenger), Mkhitaryan.

Did he attend training? Anyway the negotiations are done between Raiola and Arsenal. I'm not sure Miki has to be present.

Please, please reject us Mkhi.

I'm not sure if our players really hate Sanchez. Similar stories come out whenever a high profile player is about to leave or left. RVP was captain fantastic when he was with us, all the players loved him and Mrs. Van Persie organized social gatherings for everyone. The second he wants to leave, we hear stories about fights with Ramsey and Walcott. He's a bad influence on the younger players, the whole works. Same with Alex Song who supposedly got into a fight with Steve Bould in the season.

I'm not saying that those type of things don't happen. If they are true I think they are 1. Exaggerated and 2. Leaked quite deliberately around the time of a transfer to get the fans onside.

At this stage it just reeks of club propaganda. Also why would they hate Sanchez for leaving when half of them have one foot out the door as well?

Moreover these guys are professionals and know having a quality player like Sanchez in the team will only help them win.
