And if we are to progress in the Champions League that's exactly how we'll do it, we certainly won't do it on the front foot, and Mkhitaryan of all the players we've currently got is best suited to playing on the break, I honestly don't think i've ever seen a player like him that runs quicker with the ball than without it.

I'd be more pissed with the club. If deal wasn't possible with a straight cash offer, you cant really force a player to another club. I'm sure he would get a fair share of boos if this scenario played out but I'm still confident we will get Sanchez regardless.

I can understand fans frustration which is primarily fuelled by the desire to land Sanchez, but i feel for Mkhitaryan. Arsenal are by no means a bad club, but it's not where players have gone in the last 10 years to win trophies.
He has a contract with the club, and he has every right to get the best deal he can out of that commitment.
I hope we land Sanchez, and if Mkihitaryan needs to leave for that to happen, I hope he goes. But fans can't simply blame him as they find him out of favour - Same way none of us would have held it against say Martial, we simply laughed that notion away (as the club did) because Martial is held in higher regard by the fans.
Not sure. I could understand United fans being upset, and I can see why Mkhitaryan would turn them down. United fans would be upset because Mkhitaryan isn't currently being used and he would prevent us from getting Sanchez who would be used and could be of help. However it's not exactly his fault. Maybe he wants to try his luck elsewhere and it would be much easier to gain that move if United sell rather than if Arsenal try to sell.

No chance of that happening because of 2 things. He won't be able to do so because he's shit and he won't even be given the opportunity to play, he'll be cast to the reserves.

But seriously, don't you think we approached Sanchez only after consulting with Mkhi and Raiola? So this whole idea of "what if Mkhi turns Arsenal down" seems absurd as it is not likely we just randomly offer Mkhi without prior planning. All the talk is just hot air from Raiola.
If that was possible the transfer would have been done days ago. Everyone is saying Mikhi is an integral part of the deal.

The reactions on here are a lot more restrained than what I've seen on other media. He'd be finished at this club if he causes the Sanchez deal to collapse I'm afraid.
I'm not so sure, if Mkhi purely refuses then they risk losing sanchez for nothing in the summer. They obviously want a good player like Mkhi instead for free which makes sense, but if not 30-35m in Cash will at least pursuade them a bit I feel. They are running out of options.
He is one of the only players in the squad that really has not stepped up his game. Martial has turned a corner this season, Lingard has massively improved under Mourinho, even players like Lindelof are finally catching on. But Mkhitaryan is just not doing it. It is beyond poor how he has been playing this season and if anything it seems he is regressing.
If he feels he is too good to play for Arsenal or he rather stays at a team that doesn't need him anymore and can't give him the playing time a player like him should be looking for because he can earn a bit more money than I find his attitude in this very disappointing.
And I don't think it is fair to hold him responsible for any Sanchez deal but given how this deal has been set up and has been portrayed in the media then obviously people will make a connection between him refusing to leave the club and us missing out on a world class player. It is not fair to blame him for that but people will hold it against him regardless. Unless he would start to actually do something usefull for United like play well and win us some points than people will just view him like a waste of space that has signed for this club to get alot of money without actually earning it and whose decision to stay at United will have cost us a world class player.
I don't think the fans hate Mkhitaryan at the moment, they are just disappointed in his football but if his demands or that of Raiola screw up our Sanchez deal then I do think alot of people will start hating him.

If the deal was supposedly Riaola's idea some six+ weeks ago, it'd be a bit odd if it turns out Mkhi isn't up for it. Seems unlikely it would get this far into a negotiation if he wasn't, and we'd just have paid the sum required instead.
