Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

It does concern me that the longer it rumbles on we'll lose momentum - after all, that's exactly what happened to Citeh with Sanchez.

If there's a chance of getting Sanchez, just do whatever necessary and get it done.

If Mkhi doesn't wanna go, use cash and then get rid of Mkhi asap.

Just get it over the line before someone else steps in and momentum is lost.
The issue is not a United perspective of whether we swap Mhki or pay cash. The issue is whether Arsenal get a replacement lined up before they let go of Sanchez. I expect the later is done. The replacement component is the hold up.

However, it has been reported Woodward want to sell before buying but if Arsenal don’t take Mhki we could probably ship him back to BvB or Inter we reportedly interested as well.

Which brings another point up. If he went back to BvB, what does that mean for Perisic? Can’t imagine he’d be pushed aside for Mhki.

Good old Balague playing it coy for some reason in not naming this lurking club.
Thats what he's all about, sitting on internet breaking information on a podcast from a tv company that pays him for breaking news such as this.
Remember to be vague and never commit Ballbag.

Bizarre contribution really. Big club, not Chelsea so if English it must mean Liverpool. They have a big wad of cash (but I assume that will be used to revitalise the Red Sox) and that's what he will point to as evidence of this new theory of his. What a complete space cadet.

Look this salty prick at it again

And some good news....

JOSE SET FOR NEW DEAL

Jose Mourinho set to sign contract extension at Manchester United until 2021, Sky Sports News understands. The club have yet to comment.

Mourinho previously described reports he wanted to leave as “garbage” - and he’s been pleased with the commitment the club have shown to him by going after his transfer targets and getting them.

His decision comes as Man Utd look to break with recent transfer window tradition and bring in a major signing in January in the shape of Alexis Sanchez.

Feck Raiola for allowing this to drag on. Sanchez and his agent sorted their side out ages ago and now he's messing around trying to extract every little penny he can.

agent trying to get the most money for his client as possible?! wow what a farce bro!! Imagine Sanchez agent was such a great guy for coming to only united and making Sanchez play for pittance instead of shopping him around europe for the highest bidder. Whats the world coming to when employees try to get as much money as the can from huge global brands like Arsenal football club. The nerve

Arsenal wanting someone in makes it important.
Malcom is reportedly not being allowed to leave, same goes for Mahrez (not that I know if Arsenal are interested in him) & that leaves Mkhitaryan for Arsenal to really negotiate with. I'm sure if they already had a replacement outside of Mkhitaryan ready they'd be more interested in the cash.

Also, from reports I've read, it's Mkhitaryan or cash. Arsenal can try and pursuade Mkhitaryan to go to them (which will take time due to negotiations). If that fails we seemingly have a cash-deal in place.

Even Keeping Up with the Klowns isn't so bleedin' transparent as what Balague is up to with his vague, deniable hints at mysterious strangers.

What am I missing? How does that toerag Raiola hold all the cards here? A straight Mikhi swap would be lovely but if he, or rather his agent, is jeopardizing the whole deal with outrageous and totally unwarranted wage demands, why the bejaysus are Arsenal or ourselves not just telling him to stick it and proceeding woth a straight cash transaction? This is not Pogba, for crying out loud. His client here is a guy who can't get a game, is low on confidence and out of favour. I don't get it.

Well if the reported wages are accurate then doing as you say would probably cost us an extra 50 odd million. They probably see it as being worth a day's negotiation to save that.

See, if interest from these two was genuine, you could really understand why Mkhi wouldn't be that keen on a move to Arsenal in their current state

Pulisic?

I think that for both parties isn't that easy. Alexis can't just go anywhere else because he wants a lot money. And it's the same for Mhki. The players are ones with the power.

As horrible as it is he is still agent to 3 of our other players, one of which is a star man and the other our centre forward, we need to keep him sweet to keep life simple with Pogba and lukaku. It’s the problem with jumping in so deep with him.

@SteveJ
Can you imagine his shit eating grin if he were able to announce Madrid had entered the running? He would be dancing on the desks helicoptering the real Balague ballbag around as he said it.
Its hilariously transparent.

He doesn't. The agent works for the player. If Miki is open to going to Arsenal, he will. All this is huff and bluff and Raiola is happy to spin it along publicly to get the best for himself and client

Negotiations is my thing (I hope) so let’s speculate a little bit.

Regarding Mino Raiola. He makes money if the deal goes through. According to himself the Mkhi ><Sanchez swap is his idea. (I don’t believe that but anyway) That’s means two things. Without a deal no agent fee and the risk of indirectly being responsible if the deal collapse. It could give both him and Mkhi unnecessary badwill. So. It’s in his interest to seal the deal.

Regarding Mkhitaryan. Him and Raiola want full compensation to walk out of a lucrative contract. Highly understandable. I expect United to compensate him 100% whatever Arsenal is offering. And of top of that some sorts of farewell bonus to the player and a special agent fee to Raiola for making this deal possible. Henrikh has nothing to win by playing hardball or being “difficult”. Make a reasonable claim and stand by your first demand is the way to go.

And as always the part who gets the most favorable deal will act humble and respectful to all involved. A experienced dealer always tries to make a 65/35 deal in his favor to look like a 50/50 deal with two winners. Win and win all around so to say.

Yup. This football journalist biz seems an easy job.

I used to think Ballbag was just a harmless, blow hard spoofer but these days I genuinely detest him.
Martin Luther King Jr, once famously said "Let no man pull you so low, as to hate him" He'd obviously never met Guillem Balague.

He's "hearing" there "may" be another "massive club" lurking waiting to see how events develop. Doesn't mention whom.

"Looks like Manchester United are favorites, BUT...for now."

^finishes with that. He's talking conjecture and nonsense.

It's embarrassing, its the male equivalent of the gossip magazines.

I’ve actually just started reading things a slightly different way. I initially couldn’t believe our luck when it was reported that we had a chance with Sanchez, and it seemed ideal Micky could be involved. The story developing into a swap almost seemed too good to be true.

I now have the impression that Arsenal really want Micky. Looking at it that way it’s not about getting the deal done for United, it’s getting the deal done for Arsenal. Raiola is possibly hinting at that in stating Sanchez is part of the Micky deal.

United have agreed terms with Alexis, and Arsenal appear to have been relatively easy to deal with. Surprisingly, for me. That’s probably why we are quite relaxed.

All that’s happening now is Raiola squeezing as much out of Arsenal as he can until the deal is done.

I think all agents are absolute leeches who only care about their own pockets, but the reason this one is holding ths cards is that apparently Arsenal won’t sell without having a replacement lined up which clearly is meant to be mhiki.

Weren't Arsenal reportedly offering Oxlade 180k? They will pay the wages.

Arsenal need the player too. Alexis isnt playing. They are playing more than once a week and dont have a lot of players. Makes no sense dragging it to deadline day if it can be avoided.

I see what you are trying to say but there is 19 days between the tweets.

Yeah, that's what i mean. 19 days.
Didn't he say there wasn't an agreement with Arsenal and that Micky could also decide to stay at MU yesterday?
Could see this dragging on until deadline day. Raiola likes to play hardball

Sadly, our Mino probably knows this and is just waiting for them to blink first

Doubt it. Mhki will most likely want this sorted as quickly as possible seeing as it's mid-season. He wants to play, so it wouldn't be in anyone's best interests for this to drag on.

Yeah, good points, cheers lads.

I do still worry (logically or not) that the longer it stalls at this point, the more likely some other fecker comes in and does what we did to citeh.

Sanchez is a rare talent, at a rare price we must remember.

Sorry guys, I know you are tired pressing F 5 Key but here to refresh your mood a little

Let’s hope we see some concrete progress tomorrow, the waiting is annoying. Yes that’s childish and impatient and these things take time, but we want to see him in the shirt. Get it done.

Not sure if this is posted.

David Ornstein said it's a straight swap with no cash involved. That's a fantastic deal if Mkhitaryan agrees to move to Arsenal.

Think according to all accounts the deal with Sanchez is already done. Naturally Arsenal will want a replacement and it’s difficult to work it out in the winter transfer window.

I’d imagine it will take another day or two but can’t see it stalling further than say Friday.

As others mentioned Arsenal aren’t in good shape right now and they do need some fresh legs in attack.

I didn't saw what you were saying then.

Yeah, it could drag a little bit or they could find an agreement quickly, it seems that Raiola is just doing his job and squeezing a few pounds out of United and Arsenal.
