Alex Sandro

16/17 Sandro is literally the perfect signing. I'm putting his decline in form down to him obviously wanting a move but it is a little concerning, especially in a world cup year. A lot to be excited about though - he's a force at his very best.

It's pretty amazing that our most promising LB targets - Sandro, Ghoulam and Rose - Either struggled for form, got badly injured or both within the last 18 months. Of those I'd say Sandro is the safest bet to get to his peak right away.

Can anyone confirm for sure that La Stampa are legit?

It’s too early to blow my kermit load! It’s only may!

50 mill Euros? That's like barely 44 mill Pounds! And if we manage to get 20 Mill for Darmian, we have gotten the best available upgrade at LB for 24 mill!!

Like somebody before me said, they are Turin based and are quite reliable for Juventus/Torino news. Maybe even tier 1 for Juventus.
This will definitely happen.

We are not going to get £20M for Darmian. Not watched Sandro this year but Juventus fans seem to be fairly unanimous in saying he's been poor which probably explains the asking price going down by €20M. Hopefully we can get the best out of him.

Transfer window opens tomorrow, May transfers are going to be a thing. The most likely transfer is Alderweireld since he is already in the league, Willian is an outside shout if we are actually in for him.

We might have to wait a week or two for Sandro and SMS since the Seria A window is a week further forward than the premiere league.

Why did Sandro miss out on Brazil World Cup squad? I’d expect Marcelo to start but why not taken in the squad?

Felipe Luis is the back up, just the coaches choice.

Marcelo is better than Sandro offensively, Felipe Luis is better defensively - the manager clearly wants different options, but you don't need more than two LBs.

I remember saying the exact same thing when Darmian signed. Then Alexis ran rings around him at the Emirates and I never said it again.

It's still better to try and fail than play wingers who suck at attacking as wingbacks.

Since he's not going to Russia, I imagine this one will be one of the first transfers done considering this link is legit of course.

From what I'm aware this season his problem has been inconsistancy. One week he's fantastic and looks as good as any FB out there. the next weak he's a low point of the team. It is a concern, I would hope that his ups and downs effect his price. Clearly he has the ability but he may not be someone we can rely on every week

Tell that to Southgate.

True that. 3 RBs & 3 LBs, and all are similar in their styles.

It happens this season after all the fuss about last summer wantaway move fell through. Something happened during half time at the final in Cardiff. They lost Alves and Bonucci while Alex Sandro lost his consistency

Sportwitness are useless. People should stop posting them around here.

Duncan Castles called Pogba before anyone yet people treat him some kind of joke. Sandro will be a Man Utd player no worries.

 They just provide a translation of what's actually in the paper instead of bullshit fake news. If you'd rather have the made up stories, go for it.

Sportswitness only quote other sources. They don’t submit their own news. It’s from La Stampa.

Bullshit fake news:lol: Yeah whatever. La stampa is reliable for Juventus, Sandro is going to be player soon than later.
Even if he's "not on the verge of signing".

You're not getting this at all mate. SportWitness are not saying that La Stampa are a bad source they're saying that they never reported that Sandro was close to joining. SportsWitness are not a source for transfer news, they've never claimed to be. All they do is go through transfer news and tell people if these sources are reliable or if they even reported on what's being claimed on twitter.

Aren't they saying that it's not from La stampa, they were quoting Duncan Castles?

They look at press sources and advise whether the interpretation is correct or not, or if the story was even published in the first place. They are extremely valuable at a time when people make things up.

This isn't an exclusive from La Stampa. SportsWitness are saying that the article on La Stampa is just quoting what Duncan Castles said a few days back.

Great news if true. Exactly what we need. Having said that, hopefully he will rediscover his form from the previous years.

didn't Jose let him go on the cheap from Chelsea or am I thinking of someone else?
Let go? Sure. Cheap? No. Basically got even what Chelsea initially paid.

Felipe Luiz ain't exactly very defensive great. It's more the case Alex Sandro being inconsistent and have lower bottom level this season.

Yeah... so it’s not their story. Just translating stories around the world.

It’s what they’ve always done.

Darmian was brought in 3 years ago after being in the Serie A team of the season the last two seasons and putting in a man of the match performance for Italy against England. Most Redcafe members where absolutely delighted about signing this solid right-back that they had seen on Youtube videos. Three years later, we bring in an older left back from the same league, that has one team of the season nomination from last year but has been in and out of the Juventus starting 11 this season. Why would the signing of Alex Sandro turn out better than Darmian?

Fellaini was brought in after single-handedly winning games for Everton against us and being one of the better central midfielders in the league. Fellaini and Darmian are both brilliant footballers that where absolutely ruined by Manchester United. Milinkovic-Savic and Alex Sandro are both world-class players, but there is absolutely no guarantee that they will succeed in Manchester United. If we bring them in this summer, most of the Caf would probably be slaughtering them as the worst footballers of all time and demand that they are being replaced by some 200 million kid they have only seen on Youtube videos.

1. Darmian was playing for midtable club in serie A whilst Sandro is playing for Serie A champions and had been playing in UCL final. There's already gap of experiences between them. And i dont remember if SAF ever bought players from midtable serie A club before (oh wait he did, it was Taibi and look how it turned out)
2. Darmian is an Italian, Sandro is a Brazilian you might think this is a ridiculous excuse but Italian defenders had history of being "crap" outside Serie A, especially EPL where greats like Materazzi & Panucci were considered as failures.
